They are now light and fluffy. My only gripe? The estimator, while very pleasant, ghosted my follow up question like a teenager avoiding chores. Also, despite my very specific request to contact my husband on paint day, they still called me--maybe they just missed my voice? That said, the quality of work was so impressive that I can forgive the slight communication hiccups. Would I hire them again? Absolutely. Would I bet money on the estimator replying to my follow up questions next time? Let's just say I'm not a gambler.

We hired Stubbins Painting to paint our interior. We also had them do the kitchen cabinets and a…read morerailing/ledge in a super high gloss paint. The quality, as promised, was lacking where the high gloss paint was used, and not done to our satisfaction. Yes, there was a problem, but there was also a happy ending! Based on past experiences with other companies, we figured they would push back against our complaints, and move on without rectifying the situation. Luckily, that was not the case. One of the most important qualities in any company's owners, is integrity. The owner here stood behind his work, and had a very experienced painter come back to completely redo the high gloss areas that were done incorrectly. It looks beautiful now! He also explained that since this job, they have taken steps to change some of their practices to improve in the future. Every company should take advantage of learning experiences, take accountability for mistakes, and put the customer first. Stubbins Painting is one of those companies. This sort of real integrity is rare, and is what makes me comfortable in recommending them!

I was leaving in a week for nearly a month and having guests when I returned so I needed this remedied immediately. I'm so glad I called Tyler. He answered his phone immediately, something that rarely happens when I'm calling a plumber, appliance repair, or other home services. He got out to me within 2 days for an estimate, wrote up a very reasonable contract, and scheduled the work for the following week. He came himself to the job with his two workers, explained the job throughly, and the laborers consulted with him. I was impressed by this because I've had jobs where the consult was not with the same person as the laborers for other projects and I think this is an important communicative step. I actually got more attention to detail than I could have imagined. All said and done, the laborers were respectful experts who were careful and had intensive preparations and protections for my home. When it comes time to paint the rest of my home, no question, I am calling Tyler. My bathrooms are gorgeous!

He has fair pricing, is very good at starting when you need him, and then completing the job. He is very responsive to calls and text messages. When I need a price I usually have it that night or the next day. His semi-gloss finishes are gorgeous. He can also do minor stucco repair, minor wall patching and wall paper removal and prepping for paint. I highly recommend.

I later hired a professional deep cleaner who confirmed that the paint was everywhere and said she could not get it off. When I asked the painter to return and clean up what his crew had left behind, he refused, blamed the problem on the condo being dirty before they arrived, and handed me a razor blade so I could scrape it off myself and quickly left--not even an apology. The crew initially had my permission to use the air conditioner. However, once my HOA notified me that it was leaking into my downstairs neighbor's unit, she asked the crew to turn it off. They reportedly refused to listen to her and would not help her contact me, potentially allowing further water damage to occur. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of cleanup and accountability afterward was unacceptable. I was left with the distinct impression that because my condo was only 830 square feet--and therefore not one of their larger, more profitable jobs--my concerns were not worth their time once they had been paid. After spending $5,300, I should not have been left hiring another professional to clean up their paint or scraping my own floors and countertops with a razor blade. I would not hire this company again.
