My son was VERY reluctant in the beginning, he's a great swimmer but just apprehensive towards new groups and activities but Coach Kyle and the entire staff were so welcoming and supportive from the beginning. By the 2nd week my son was more eager and engaged and by 3rd week he wanted to show up early and get some practice laps. By the time he had to take the swim test he had so many timed practice sessions under his belt and was well on his way for passing and felt very prepared. He's doing his first Jr. Guards session this summer and already doing great thanks to Coach Kyle and the entire MCC aquatics staff. Cant thank them enough!!

This Club's having recently being caught lying about its responsibility for a serious injury to a…read morechild left in its care at its day-care facility is no surprise. Some months ago I was repeatedly lied to by Club management staff in response to my reporting outages of many of the jacuzzi's jets that rendered the facility essentially inoperative for all but a single user at a time. After being assured that the matter would be addressed, I was told that the wet area's maintenance manager had inspected the facility and found my complaint baseless. When I refused to accept this lie, the member of Club management I was dealing with assured me she would personally inspect the facility and get back to me. She did not. I then asked another member of the Club staff to accompany me to the facility (he did), verify the legitimacy of my complaint (he did), and inform the management staff member I'd been dealing with that he had done so. After this, however, I heard nothing more about the matter, from her or anyone else, for weeks. I had, finally, to take the matter to another member of the Club management staff. This person referred it to the Club's top manager, from whom I finally received an admission that my complaint was legitimate and an assurance that replacements for the dysfunctional parts were on order. So I was hardly surprised to learn, not long thereafter, that this same Club's management had been reported in the news media for lying about its day-care personnel having injured a child in its custody. It seems to be a business practice.

Friendship Foundation is an organization that helps Special kids and adults in Southern California. It is located in the Redondo Beach area. It is easy to get to. There is nothing you will not love about this place. They have so many programs and activities, but I will address only the camp here. Your child or adult will be teamed up with a buddy, and the fun starts. There are so many volunteers and staff, all who care about only making the campers happy, safe, and able to form new friendships. They teach kindness and sharing and letting everyone know that no matter your "disability" you are perfect just the way you are. If you have a Special person in your life, you are lucky. They will love this camp. No one is left out. It is just joyful.

I'm gonna give it a three star because I'm grateful for the meetings that are held there on a…read moreregular basis although my last experience should've never happened and I couldn't even concentrate on the meeting I was there for but I haven't been back although I will go again my sobriety is important but something should be addressed about this issue. this happened in the coffee bar/snack area before the meeting I was there with others to get a Gatorade there was a pitbull blocking the coffee bar on a leash but unattended leash was not connected to anything an old man there which might own the place for all we know told me it was two dollars for the Gatorade and then when I spoke to him the pitbull jumped at me and tried to bite me but I jumped back and it missed me . I would have a hard time believing that's the first time that's ever happened and no one should experience that I think especially in a house of sobriety. Instead of apologizing all he said was if you're gonna pay with a card for a two dollar Gatorade you have to pay an extra dollar because it's a dollar for a credit card or you can give a dollar tip. Well if it was my place I actually would've apologize profusely put the dog outside which he did not do and said no charge for the Gatorade that's on me. That's just the right thing to do at the very least. I hope this means something to anybody that can make a difference keep an aggressive dog out of any public area. And for the records I did nothing to provoke this dog.

OUTSIDE - lots of cool murals, looking through the window windows at the cats, a nice signage. Today we just window shopped because to be honest I have a cat already and I just didn't need another. If you want to go in and pet the cats, hang with them, in their little custom lounge area areas then it cost approximately seven dollars for 20 minutes or $20 for one hour. We didn't take advantage of these excellent deals. The window shopping is completely free and the murals outside are absolutely gorgeous.
