Hidden gem! I had no idea about this place; probably because it's tucked back behind warehouses and offices in Kihei. I am obsessed with the style here!!! Shabby chic, beach house/rustic/island style decor. Right up my alley! Seriously how did I not know about this place. The ladies working there were so friendly, helpful and personable! I browsed for a good hour and ended up walking out with a locally made solid wood bench for our office. There were so many things I wanted, I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend checking this place out for house/office decor, furniture, mirrors, artwork, pillows, house warming gifts, gifts in general, vases and even those fake monstera leaves I been looking for! Yippee Skippy, I love this store! By chance I was driving past Nest and noticed that the lights were on, I was lucky because the owner was just getting ready to close up the shop for the day. She was incredibly gracious and allowed me to wander around the store and even took the time to show me some of the custom embroidered pillows that Nest sells. The furniture on display is chic, yet it still comes across as "livable". I hate when furniture is so pretty/trendy that your home becomes a show place rather than somewhere to come home and relax. There is no fear of this with the pieces on display at nest. There is a sectional sofa that looked so comfy I was tempted to sink into the cushions with a good book for the next few hours. The same beach cottage aesthetic that I admired previously is still very much on display, and there are so many adorable lamps and knick knacks that are perfect for Maui. The embroidered pillows are customizable and come in a variety of patterns and fabrics, this is a really cute and inexpensive way to jazz up a room. The owner clearly takes great pride in her store and is also a designer as well. Once I have my own little place on Maui to furnish I will be sure to head straight to Nest! read more

We had recently moved to Maui & were taking our time furnishing our home. But suddenly our cousins were coming for an unplanned visit & we wanted a leather reclining sofa for our TV room, where all we had was a big TV. We needed it immediately so had to be in stock. Someone referred me to Beach House but they didn't have one. The woman there told me who might & then picked up the phone, called her competitor, described what I was looking for & when she was told they had it, she got the price dimensions & all the details for me. The best home accessories store I've been to on Maui. Great finds for a modern, vintage or a beach cottage asthetic. Reminds me of the former Into in downtown Honolulu or Red Envelope in Ward Center. I scored two hollywood regency feel frames, a turquoise chinese lion statue and a mother of pearl clock. I was regretful that I had no room left for any more lighting in my home because I saw at least three lamps that were screaming my name. There was a leggy dresser that tempted me, as well as a lovely bench and a huge surfer inspired artwork. Update: I have purchased the leggy dresser and couldn't be happier. It provided some rugged texture to my modern space, fitting for a dresser or a credenza and the color is beautiful, looks like it's floating on my bamboo floor. read more

I am in LOVE with this place!!!!! Definitely worth the wait for it to be open (hours are posted on their web site). It had Beach cottage chic decor, and every time I looked around I found something new I wanted. The prices are reasonable and the staff were FANTASTIC!!!! Even my husband who is not a fan of beach cottage chic found things to buy and he then sat down and rested in the down filled chair until I was done shopping =) . To be honest I did not want to leave ;-). I highly recommend and will be coming back soon! read more

Cute shop on Maui, however, it's off the beaten path. Prices are very high, even for the islands. Worth the trip to check it out.

If you are only open three days a week, ya think ya might be able to do inventory on one of the days you are normally closed? I've tried to visit this store several times and it is never open. . . even when it is supposed to be. Don't go unless you call and talk to a live person. For me, I give up. read more
