Absolutely love SOHA and have for many years! I'm actually shocked that I haven't already written a review for them. Though I've been to the Whalers Village and Waikiki locations countless times, I really love the Wailea location. The shop is always so well organized, staff friendly and welcoming, and honestly I even appreciate the fact that they tuck your receipt into a little black envelope (those special little touches do make a difference!). I don't think I have ever left this shop without purchasing something: from the most lovely island-inspired throw pillow cases to seasonal decor, and from the most amazing housewares or kitchenwares to keepsakes and Hawaiian souvenirs. They seem to have it all, and I often wish I would outfit my entire house in SOHA everything! For all you parents or people looking for gifts for kids, they even have a lot of adorable merchandise just for the keiki (Hawaiian for kiddos). Lot's of jewelry as well, stationery, photos/art and signs for your walls, and the list goes on. SOHA is so awesome, and for locals and visitors alike! read more

I was wondering why everyone was walking around the marketplace with a SoHa bag. Told my husband we had to go check it out. We had our 3 month and 12 year old with us. IMHO I love going into any SoHa Living store when I have the chance. This visit, the cute main display of Halloween goodies drew me in. I slowly meandered through the store, taking it all in, trying to find something special to take home. Alas, it was close to closing time, and the nice saleslady discreetly and graciously steered us to the door, thanking us for coming in. LOL Next time, we'll visit earlier. read more

Everything in this store is so cute and girly pop! Love all the cute souvenirs and useful home items and had fun browsing all the cute stuff in the shop! They have so much fun stuff to browse! Ended up buying a cute lil ring and necklace and cute pen to write my postcards with! this was absolutely worth the stop because we found this pikake body mist & body oil from malie!! overall, great selection of kitchen ware, children toys, and all sorts of cute home decorations. one of the best stores with a unique & beautiful color palette (not just hawaiian print LOL) not too overpriced compared to other stores, i would say worth it for the quality you are getting! nothing much to say about the service, it's nice that they offer to wrap certain goods, like the body mist. read more

We love walking around the SoHa Living stores. There's such a great selection of curated beachy items. Some of them seem perfect for all the local condos here on the island, but you can definitely find pieces that can be taken home to be a little reminder of your time on the islands. I love the stores that have both the adult and children's items, they have some really cute things for kids. If you're looking for some nice gifts for people you really like or are looking to impress, this is a perfect spot to shop too. Some items get pretty pricey, which has kept me from taking a whole collection of items home, but it's probably for the best. I'll always take a walk around SoHa Loving when I see it! read more

I love love love this Store! Some people say it's like a beachy boutique pier one but i'm saying it's like a classy beachy spencer's! Remember that store? lol 90s flashback. They have such an eclectic mix of goods, including some really funny stuff like a keanu coloring book. I get stuck here for at least an hour every time I go because there is so much to explore. If ur on a budget they have a great sales rack as well. My latest purchase was a neon lamp in the shape of a heart. We used it as a center piece for our wedding and it was such a great pop of fun and color! Soha living is so unique and fun I'm glad i get to shop here on the reg. read more

Bottom Line: Pottery Barn and Hawaii collide to offer home decor and some gifts. This is a cute store! It's a beachy version of Pottery Barn with some gifty items and kids items thrown in. The window displays drew me in and the displays were lovely too. I found a cute hula girl pillow, some lovely she'll ring holders and pretty note cards. This is a cute store with beach decor. Some of their offerings scream tourist and others are more well curated and delightful. This is a rest place to peruse as they have many gift items, candles, picture frames, small dishes, jewelry items, and more. I purchased a simple wood picture frame here, that looks totally un-touristy and will be the perfect honeymoon memento from my trip. I will know it was a tourist purchase, but no one else will! read more

I must say I'm really surprised by the low stars. I've been a fan of SoHa living since stumbling upon their old store in the Ward shopping center years ago, and when that location closed I would faithfully head over to their Kahala Mall store to shop. We wandered into their new store while shopping in Wailea, and I was downright giddy when I realized that SoHa Living now has a location here on Maui. If you are looking for cute and unique gifts, souvenirs, or home décor with a definite beachy vibe then this is the shop for you. I purchased two lovely necklaces for my nieces to have as a souvenir of their trip to Maui, and had to stop myself from buying just about everything in sight! Service from the employees was top notch, and they were very patient with my little niece as she picked out the necklace that she liked best. Lest you think that they were only showing this consideration because I was dropping a ton of money in their shop, it's important to note that the necklace in question cost a whopping $7.99. An inexpensive trinket maybe, but it was a treasured gift as far as my little nieces were concerned. My only complaint is that this store is considerably smaller than their shop on Oahu, I would love to see more of the stock that I enjoy in their Oahu location make it to the Maui store. read more

We loved shop in Soha living at Kaanapali location, the staffs there are very nice and welcoming. When we visited this location, the machine for Apple Pay was down, and the stuff working in this shop handled it in a very cold way, we are very disappointed with the service here. Will only shop at the Kaanapali location in the future. read more

This store is the bomb! I tell everyone to go here for their special island gifts. What an amazing assortment of island living amenities. I especially enjoy the local signs which feel personal and carry much meaning and memories. Make it a point to visit a store on each island as the specialty signs are specific to that area. I would have given Soha a score of 5 stars had I not read the response of the owner on a previous review. Her lack of responsibility for her employees attitude is being experienced by many I have spoken with about the store. Everyone loves the merchandise, just don't like the employees. That my dear Brooke is a clear sign that your employees lack of ALOHA is perpetuated and condoned by you, and is proven by your obtuse response to the previous review. You attacked the reviewer rather than thank her for coming to your store. You don't ever need to take a defensive position about the store as you have an absolute winner. But you do need to address the attitude of your employees. Perhaps a secret shopper would give you a better perspective on what's really going on! read more

Very cute store, I really like the layout and spaciousness of it. they have a lot of cute souvenirs for tourists. my only concern is, I am a local artist and many of their items are stickered with "made in Hawaii" when in fact they are made in the Philippines or China. We local artists work hard to get our products out there but when I see mass produced items claiming to me made in Hawaii, it's a big turn off. I've wrote 2 other posts on their Kahala location, b/c I couldn't find the Wailea location, but they keep taking it off Yelp. I was curious to check out your store when I heard you opened at The Shops, so I went in this past Saturday and it feels gloomy in there. The girls who were working didn't acknowledge me or my daughter once until I asked a question. I felt like they were catering to the tourists more than the locals. Really sad considering I could buy anything I want. I was kind of taken by how your store seemed to look like or copy another store there at the Shops ( I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about). A lot of your items seem generic, and your labels on the items that say made in Hawaii is deceiving to the public. Why would you put you label to make it seem like it was made here when it's not! Overall, my experience in your store was disappointing. I will continue to shop at the other store that you have tried to look like and copy. It's much more refreshing in there, and the ladies are always friendly to everyone that walks in. read more

My daughters and I went to Soha yesterday because we thought it was very cute. We are not locals. We walked around the store and looked at many items for about 10-15 min. Saw some cute stuff, but not once did anyone greet us or acknowledge us! There was only 1 other customer in there. So today, we went back to the store with my husband and again we were there for about 5-10 min and no one greeted us. There were 2 ladies in there, one behind the counter and the other on the other side folding something so I'm not sure if she works there and they were talking about cats and never once acknowledge us so again we walked out without buying anything. read more

Soha is my go to store and when I need a super cute gift for a friend or even something for my children's friends. Soha Living is an adorable shop, however, as a mother, I was very disappointed that near the kids section, was a book on P*rn for new moms and hand Sh*t cream....etc. I don't know what the book is truly about, but the fact that word is used on the front of the book around kids browsing the store upsets me personally. I hope the shop owners will consider just removing these offensive items all together in such a family type store.
