While in St. Pete Beach, Florida, visiting my mom for Christmas, I was eager to continue on my yoga journey, even while on vacation. Luckily, Nava Yoga Studio was within walking distance of my mom's condo. Additionally, they were offering a wonderful new student special where you could partake in two weeks of unlimited yoga classes for $50. Both my mother and I signed up and have since taken three classes. Each of the instructors has been incredibly well-versed with their own unique style. The three classes have all been a variation of Vinyasa, or flow yoga. I like how the flow can be adapted based on your level of experience. My mom has been looking for a much deeper stretch while I really look to push and challenge myself. The studio itself is quaint and can probably only hold 12 to 15 people comfortably. They do use an app to have you reserve your spot ahead of time but also accept drop-in students for $20 per class (space permitting). They offer a variety of classes both in-studio, virtually on zoom, as well as some beach yoga. If you are like me, visiting from out of town, they do have yoga mats that you can rent for two dollars per session. Nava has been an absolute highlight of my Christmas vacation in Florida.

There was a lot of equipment that you can use right in the studio. There's nice cubbies outside for your belongings. In my class, there were two fitness instructors in the back who had someone recording their practice. So if you prefer not to be on camera, stay in the front. There's a nice floor to ceiling mirror on the left of the room so you can see your poses. Everything was clean and well kept.

She talked about optimism throughout the class which I also really enjoyed. The sand adds an extra layer of difficulty to the yoga practice but in a good way! It's a beautiful and clean studio with a variety of classes and top notch teachers. What I really appreciate is Deanne's Ayurveda Flow where she shares Ayurvedic principles during class. I have also had the pleasure of taking Christopher's Yoga Basics class and you can tell right away that he is 500hr RYT. I have been to six different Aerial Classes around the Tampa/St. Pete area the last couple of months and this class was, what I would consider, a true Aerial Class incorporating the many yoga poses. The silks are utilized for each and every pose and Denise is a wonderful instructor, ensuring proper form is attained by each student in each yoga pose. I highly recommend this class for the true Aerial Yoga experience and wish I lived closer to take advantage of more of Denise's awesome classes!

Today was my first day here for an event called barbells and bubbles partnered with bumble. It was…read moreawesome!! The trainers were all super nice and tried to introduce themselves to everybody which is quite a feat since there were probably seventy people there. They had different vendors sampling their products and after the workout had chick fil a and mimosas for everyone. The workout was really intense! We had to do as many rounds as possible of: burpees, mountain climbers, lunges, plank pushups, four hundred meter run, and touch downs. I was sweating so much! They had a dj and it was super high energy. I really enjoyed it!!
