Went to grab some coffee and brekky this morning on our way home, cute shabby little cafe... the table was a bit dirty and covered in flies when we sat down but being a Sunday they where a bit busy .
I got the eggs benedict asked to add avo and bacon no salmon ...
when the buzzer went off I went to the counter to collect my food was a bit anxious as the food was sitting there and there where flies around the place eyeballing off my benedict, the staff where outside busking tables , busy making coffee and scrubbing dishes like .. come on man I'm a breast feeding mumma I'm fukin hungry pass me my food ..
the girl apologised and grabbed the plate and I carried a marvellous presented benedict on a huge chopping board back to my crusty tabl . No salt and pepper on the table or napkins was a bummer ... chopping into my glorious gooey mountain I was annoyed to find no avacado with it ... so I'm not sure if we where charged for It but it was left out ...
this usually always happens to me ... the eggs where cooked well but didn't have any drizzle... devo
Which I usually love to swipe up with a piece of ciabatta.
Luckily the Hollandise sauce was ample and delish ..
But unfortunately the ciabatta the very foundation of this top notch brekky let down the whole thing !! It was 2 tiny bite size pieces that Where drowned in the depths of the dish.
So if u drown bread in sauce what's gonna happen
It's soggy and fallin apart ...
Look this dish would of straight up been the best eggs benedict of my life it had come on a big ass chunky toasty piece of bread that held its ground under this tower of goodness and a side of avo like I asked but atlast my search for the best brekky ever continues ...
