The check in process was tedious, especially as a Hilton member. It took too long when I had already requested for a digital key. The pull out couch mattress was FILTHY! The rug was dirty as well. I complained about it to the front staff. They apologized but they were booked so we couldn't switch our room. The front desk employee said someone would reach out. I did receive a text asking about stay. I advised about the room and they apologized, but that was it. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, which was a plus. There was also a gym I took advantage of while there. Parking was close by in a garage. The amenities and location was not bad but I would not come back. I was not impressed by the cleanliness or service.

I planned a staycation and decided to pick this hotel because it was right across the beach and had a pier. Honestly, BEST choice ever! I can go on a rant about how much I enjoyed my stay! To save the readers time and myself from writing the longest review ever I will just leave highlights. CHECK IN: - I was able to check in before I arrived by downloading the app - picked my own room on the app - key to room was available on app before my arrive - parking $16 per day (make sure to stop by the front desk before parking your car so you can get the key for the garage) ROOM: - King suite city view with balcony 10/10 - everything in the room was spotless clean - cups, plates, soap and sponge provided BAR: - Happy Hour everyday 3pm- 6pm - bar is open til 10pm - kids pizza $10 (I do not recommend) it was worst then cafeteria pizza from elementary - drink of the month $8 on HH .. not bad - BBQ & chicken flatbread $20 .. I'll pass * spent $42 on the bar.. 1 drink, 1 kids drink, flatbread and a kids pizza. Service charge is included. I only went there once during my stay. I definitely would recommend eating/ drinking offsite. POOL: - so fun - lots of kids during the weekend I went which was great for my son - hot tub was not hot.. from what I heard they were waiting on a piece to get it fixed - rack with towels you grab on the way to pool - tables with umbrellas & beach chairs * pool area could have been cleaner. During my 3 days there I only saw the cleaning crew come and clean once at 8:30pm. There was clothes left behind, chairs all out of place. Cups and plates from bar laying around. Was it completely awful? No.. but it would have been nice to not have to look at mess. BREAKFAST: - all 3 days options were the same - someone on the other side of the counter to assist/ monitor you I guess? - waffles, pre made omelette, bread, bagels, oatmeal, yogurts , sausage egg and cheese sandwiches - overall good breakfast for being free * during breakfast crew was cleaning and keeping tables clean. I personally would have preferred not having the person behind the counter. I heard her ask a lady if she had kids in the room (because she was grabbing multiple things) what is the lady just liked to eat? LOBBY AREA: - people mingled around - pool table was a great addition - had 3 different game machines - bikes for rent - lots and lots of sitting area to just hang out and relax - 24 hour coffee and tea area ACROSS FROM HOTEL: - 1 min walk - beach - burgerfi - pizza - ice cream -lucky fish bar/ restaurant - oceanic restaurant * Hotel offers 8AM yoga. Free for hotel guest & $20 for everyone else. It's held on the 6th floor roof top with beach views. Absolutely stunning. During the end of yoga the teacher asked if anyone wanted to leave a donation. From the looks of it almost everyone did :) To end my the long review I said I wouldn't be leaving... I definitely recommend this hotel.

My fiancé and I stayed here for a wedding, and we were impressed! This hotel is five stars for: 1. Proximity to Pompano beach and restaurants (it's less than.1 mile of a walk to several restaurants and the gorgeous pier/beach). 2. Amazing friendly staff and great service. 3. This hotel was just recently built, and all the amenities are new, and functioning, the design is very clean and well thought out. 4. Room was very spacious and SO clean. 5. As a bonus loved: the rooftop bar and view of the ocean, the gym, and the pool + jacuzzi. 6. Complimentary breakfast is great!

I had to soak my coffee like tea bag.

We've been in Florida for one week. We started in Niceville Florida traveled all the way through the panhandle. Stayed in a couple of best westerns and they really were the best. For the money we paid we got much more. Now we paid the most here at the Marriott and definitely didn't get value for our money. They want to charge you for everything no microwave in the room the coffee pods don't even work in the coffee maker. Cleanliness is not the best but it's OK. Not happy with the hotel for the money. The employees did a great job. I charge $35 for a wristband that we can't use because of the weather doesn't make any sense and Wi-Fi we never needed it. Because Verizon is very strong here in this area. So it's just a waste of money definitely did not get my value..

Right of the beach and pier! It felt clean and updated and frontdesk staff super friendly. My son had an audition and I needed to kill some time. So asked if they had a bar and the result is; yes a rooftop bar! Now those are my favorites! No parking on site but street parking right in front (paybyphone , $3.75/hr) or a large parking lot right next door ($2.50/hr on weekend and I believe a $1 during the week - creditcard only) Walked back and went to the rooftop. Had a nice draft beer (happy hour 5-7pm and $5 beer/ $6 wines) and was able to kill my time efficiently. The rooftop has a lot of seating, as well as sofas and fire pits. Live music and a good vibe. I am sure corporate events also rent the space. View of the beach. Unfortunately it was very very windy and cold last Sunday so don't have pictures but when I am back in Pompano Beach I most likely will enjoy another drink on the roof and take some decent pictures again. Restrooms clean, bar clean, friendly staff, friendly people. I am sure the hotel is great too by the vibe I felt.

Hotel is new but the staff sucks. There are four electric vehicle chargers and most of the time, there are NON EV vehicles parked blocking the chargers. I suspect they are employees of the hotel. I cannot recommend anyone stay here if you have a Tesla or other EV.

Super bad service View Great Food needs tune up Prices ridiculous Charcuterie platter is a joke Pre cut cheese, dried edges Two pieces cheapest dried salami You can do better Need to improve before tourists come down

Pullout bed with blood, urine stains with a few sprinkles of black stuff...

Filthy - blood and urine stains on mattress..floor was never cleaned. Got out of there asap

Kayla was the young lady who checked us in last night. Very friendly, personable and able to answer all our questions. Definite asset to Home2 Suites.

Room is very spacious and clean. Hotel is brand new and have best beach location. Very relaxing.

If you are looking for a great experience, this hotel is perfect. Best location and relaxation .The hotel is brand new. All clean and fresh. Is right in front of the Pompano Beach Pier. Many restaurants close by. Our family spent 4th of July and we watched the fireworks from the rooftop. It was an amazing experience. They offer free breakfast which is so convenient on the way to the beach. I recommend the rooms on the second floor with pool access from your varanda. So convenient for families. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We'll definitely return and recommend.

Last night was New Years Eve and the roof top was hopping. Sure it was crowded, and yes, the bar was 3 & 4 deep to get drinks, but my wife and I had a great time. I would like to give a shout out to Alex B. He was great. Really putting forth an amazing effort. The DJ played some great music. Thanks for hosting a great party.

    Lots of seating gor meals!

Baseboards were filthy every visit, and the bathroom cleaning felt questionable (never quite confidence-inspiring). Parking is a consistent headache. The lot is a block over, and exiting with the plate reader is nearly impossible. The QR code only worked once across four stays, so plan on frustration. There are several destination EV chargers in the lot actual hotel round shaped lot , but they're useless--any car is allowed to park in those spots, so they've been blocked every single time I've been here. Don't count on charging. Front-desk service is the same person every visit and remains the same: zero smile, no hello, no please or thank you. Just the transactional "ID... use your card over here." It's impersonal and chilly. Breakfast is geared toward little kids and is mediocre for everyone else--always cold. Skip it and walk across the street for something better. The saving graces are the price (genuinely solid value) and the location. You're right near cool local spots and restaurants, which makes the stay workable if you're mainly using the hotel as a convenient, affordable base.Would I return? Only if the rate is low and I don't need reliable parking or charging. The location and cost keep it from being a complete write-off, but the cleanliness lapses, parking mess, blocked EV spots, and robotic desk service drag the experience down.aa

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

My biggest complaint (and many others I talked with) is the pool and hot tub close at a rediculous hour, 8 pm. Our 14 year old had nothing to do after 8 pm. nor did we. Their bar area is more like a cafe' environment. This place is suited for families with very young children who want to be in their room before the sun goes down. Housekeeping did not leave any towels or garbage bags one day. Never refilled coffee. Don't even get me started on grabbing a beat up, ripped pool lounger. They are all claimed with towels by 9 am and many sit empty all day. Food and drinks are way overpriced. One burger, a quesadilla and a cocktail for lunch came to $68. We didn't bring a car as we learned last time about the astronomical parking fees. The beds are old and saggy. Bathroom lighting is lacking. Water pressure is on the low side and no foot bar for the ladies to groom. Balconies are nice and roomy. Kitchen area and washer/dryer are bonuses. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool and hot tub hours are a deal breaker for me. Won't be back.

Hubby got unexpectedly stuck in Pompano Beach for several weeks while there on business, and they have treated him like family from day 1. He is absolutely not easy to please, but they have surpassed expectation and been absolutely wonderful to him. My boys and I went to visit this last weekend, and every single staff member we passed greeted my husband by name with a giant smile and a pleasantly helpful attitude. I think, besides hiring great people, this boils down to the manager of this hotel, who is stellar. He's got a great demeanor, is extremely knowledgeable about his trade and his hotel, and has trained his staff to a level surpassing much more expensive venues. The building, itself, is showing signs of its age, which is not unusual for a seaside place like this. The doors don't always want to open because they stick, the locks are finicky, at best, floors on some of the hallways have peeling paint here and there, and the bathroom leaked from above ours while we were there this weekend. THIS BEING SAID, however, every time we mentioned an issue, the staff was all over getting them fixed asap. They even went out and bought the hubster a coffee maker for the room when he complained that he didn't have one (evidently they aren't typically provided) AND they gave him a second mini fridge for some special meds he has to keep cold. I mean, who does that these days??? Nobody but them! When you are planning to be in the Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area, try this resort-style waterfront hotel. They'll take good care of you and your family, guaranteed.
