I stayed at the Ocean Manor over the holidays and had a great experience. The room I stayed in was updated and had a kitchen, balcony, vanity, and couch. It came with a microwave, full-size refrigerator, toaster, and coffee pot. The bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The hotel also has a barber shop in the lobby, a coffee shop, beach store, gym, spa, real estate office, etc. They have a full service tiki bar that stays open until 2 a.m. which was convenient when we wanted to grab a late night drink or meal. The entire hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas with trees, blowups, lights, and more. I also want to highlight Julian who works in valet, he made our stay exceptional from start to finish. He never kept us waiting more than a minute for our car and was always friendly and professional.

An older property. Built during the 1950s. An original from those times. That adds to the charm. But there are nuances that modern travelers may get frustrated with. That's part of the struggle to do upkeep on a nearly 100 year old property. Great staff. Really good food options. Close to shopping and other small retail options and pizza places and delis. Good pool. Right on the beach. The Tiki Bar by itself is worth the trip. Say hi to Shayna and Alissa and the other crew. Great, fun people. 8/10.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! This place is an absolute DUMP! To start when we checked in the curtains had a stain on them god knows what it was stained from looked like blood to me which I didn't even complain about. And the marijuana smell! Fast forward to the next day our AC didn't work so we had the manager come help us and it still did not work! We started our morning at the beach and came back to our room to our door not opening with our key card!!! Mind you I had a meeting to get on my laptop which I didn't even make it to because they couldn't open the door which had all my belongings in! Anyways after all this I was just over it I packed my belongings and took myself to another hotel which is 100x better than that shit hole! Goodluck to anyone who stays here lol.. I forgot to mention everyone who works here runs around like maniacs & they must be super stressed because they hit their vapes in front of their customers how professional !

Very dirty hotel, smelt like cigarettes in the room and the staff said it was "the long term residents" fault... We checked in, saw blood on our bed and walked out, unfortunately management refused to give us a refund.

I was here for a wedding. I will review my experience with the event only. First of all, the ceremony was held in the Penthouse-overlooking the ocean. Breathtaking views & we were blessed with great weather as well. This was an intimate wedding with about 50 guests. After the ceremony, we went to the Ballroom - which is on the main floor, same as the Lobby. We had our cocktails & sat at our assigned tables. There was the champagne toast & then we went up to the buffet. There were mashed potatoes., pasta & sauce, mixed vegetables, chicken francese as well as flank steak. All delicious. I understand that the food was separate from Ocean Manor- the event planner told me it was part of the event package. After the dinner, we danced with a DJ & had a great time. It took awhile for the cake to be cut- it was red velvet- it was worth the wait! Yummy. I was very impressed with the venue & the way this wedding went. If you ever want a beautiful location right on the beach- I would recommend highly. Event Planner-Tina Levinger Thank you for doing an amazing job. You made the couple major memories for a lifetime!!!

Here is the dead bird and the dead roach

This hotel was in need of many repairs. Airconditoners that dont work properly, curtians falling down. Bird poop all over patios. Dead bird on a patio for days. Dead cockroach left in my room even after housekeeping. And a general manager who ignored my complaints and emails. Awful experience

Absolutely loved it. Beautiful beach. Great bar and restaurant right on the beach with great staff. Wonderful pool that overlooks the ocean. We stayed in an Airbnb unit that had a gorgeous view of the pool and ocean. The resort was constantly being cleaned and tended to. It was a walker friendly location. Grocery store, Dunkin' Donuts, great deli, beach store, and much more just a 4-5 minute walk to the south. Lauderdale by the Sea is a beautiful 20 minute walk along the Atlantic Ocean to the north.

The lobby got a great makeover and the updated room had a fresh and modern look. This time we splurged and got a Presidential 3BR suite and it was gorgeous. The room had a massive wrap around balcony and the view from there and the room itself was absolutely amazing. Though, our stay was not without its issues. Upon first entering the room, we found that the AC wasn't working and the temperature had soared to 82 degrees. We called down and they sent someone up within an hour which was appreciated. That said, the AC went out again the next morning and the room temperature soared into the 80s. We felt very inconvenienced and uncomfortable because of the recurring AC issue. The room also had minor issues like multiple curtain hooks not working, leading to the curtains sagging and alot of light infiltration in the early morning. The bathroom door lock wasn't functional and multiple outlets didn't work. Also, the place didn't have key essentials for the full size kitchen that was provided. There were no paper towels, dish towels, dish soap, sponges, or even basic things like salt and pepper. The bathrooms too don't have hand soap, an adequate amount of body wash, or even a place to hang towels. The biggest annoyance (and disappointment) for me was the fact that there was rooftop lounge, which was open till midnight and was located directly above our room. So, throughout the day and night we heard people talking, music playing, and even banging and moving of furniture early in the morning prior to opening. If I knew beforehand that there was a noisy lounge over the room, I'd never had booked the place to be honest. Considering we paid over $1300 a night and had to experience persistent AC issues, noise and other minor inconveniences, I can't help feeling a bit dissatisfied with the experience. Yes the view from the room is truly unbelievable, and it's very well decorated inside. However all of the issues left us with a bad taste in our mouths. One star.

We arrived around 9 am after our cruise, and our assigned upgraded room (suite) was not ready. The front desk receptionist, Dominique, was most helpful and gave us 5 star service in looking for a room with a balcony that was available for us. She found one and upgraded us to an ocean front. It was truly the BEST ocean front room we have ever had in Ft Lauderdale and Miami. I would have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the view more. We had a mini-suite, versus the regular suite which would not have had the balcony. Room 1715. Big shower, comfortable sitting chair, large balcony with cushioned chairs and table, Lavazza coffee, ironing board. We were so close, we could hear the ocean waves. Pool was fine. Hot tub. By the pool were cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas, but some of the cushions were flat. A pool attendant said new cushions were on order for next year, so it would be better. A shout-out to the pool attendant who dragged over a different chair with a cushion that had some cushion left in it for me. She was genuinely nice. There was also a separate section of chairs facing a wall closer to the bathroom, so if it was crowded, you would still be able to get a chair but not with a cushion. I liked the fitted towel covers they put over the chairs. It was chilly and windy when we were there, so I asked for an extra chair cover to use as a blanket. Periodically, the attendants came by with chilled water, frozen fruit. The pool-side service was excellent. Different servers may come by asking if you need anything or to pick up your dishes, since they work as a team. The hamburger and fries was delicious ($35). Chicken tenders were pretty good. The alcohol drinks were $20. I liked the non-alcoholic mango daiquiri. ' I highly recommend making reservations at Takata, Japanese restaurant at the hotel. It got packed later and everything was absolutely delicious - one of the best dinners in Ft Lauderdale we have had in over 20 years. It is also open for breakfast. I had the avocado toast which was okay. Down the street in the shopping center is a CVS. We have stayed in a number of Ft Lauderdale hotels over the years for a cruise. The outstanding service from Dominique at the front desk to the pool attendants and servers, the Takata server all were phenomenal. The room was incredible and we appreciated the generous supply of Lavazza coffee and microwave. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Conrad, and it will be at the top of our list next time we are in Ft Lauderdale.

The most frustrating part of our stay happened later that evening. We accidentally locked our room keys in our second room. While I fully acknowledge that this was our mistake, we did everything we possibly could to resolve it. Beginning around 8:30 p.m., we repeatedly called the hotel's emergency/after-hours number. We called approximately 25 times, left multiple voicemails, and never received a single callback. As a result, five people were forced to sleep in one king-size bed, and one member of our group was unable to access important medication that had been left in the locked room. An emergency phone line exists for situations exactly like this, and in our case, it completely failed. The following morning, when we went to the front desk, we were met with skepticism rather than concern. The owner did not believe we had called so many times and required us to provide screenshots of our call history before they would acknowledge what had happened. To make matters worse, we were told we would receive a full refund, but the owner repeatedly changed his position, making the situation even more frustrating and unprofessional. Everyone makes mistakes, and we accepted responsibility for accidentally locking our keys in the room. However, the hotel's complete lack of after-hours support, poor communication, unsanitary room conditions, broken amenities, and inconsistent handling of our complaint turned a simple mistake into an unnecessarily stressful experience. I cannot recommend staying here. Between the unsanitary conditions, nonfunctioning hot water, TV and Wi-Fi, nonexistent after-hours assistance, and the way the owner handled our concerns, this was one of the worst hotel experience we've ever had.
