So I finally go to this festival Yeah I live close and didn't go until this year because other years I had other plans that weekend like other festivals lol or the lineup was just not that exciting for me The line to get in surprisingly is actually pretty quick despite it being long depending when you arrive The land of the whole event is unfortunately very small like it's tight Friday was okay but when Saturday came along with people not at work it was like sardines everywhere The fact that they let people take up space in front with blankets or towels is wrong If you want to have a towel or blanket they should only let you do it in the back This caused a lot of issues trying to get a view at times But other than that honestly it was a good time Typical festival with pricey food and experiences Oh the bathroom was only one area but plenty and I never had to wait as I walked up and usually found and empty toilet Would I go again? Prob if the lineup is good but I may consider the in and out ticket so I can get cheaper food outside and or relax and rest I. Between sets read more

The artists delivered. The operations did not. The lineup and performances were excellent, but almost everything surrounding the actual music felt poorly executed. Crowd flow, VIP access, SEATING, organization, logistics, and overall coordination were far below what you'd expect for a festival at this price point. What surprised me most was how little the festival actually embraced the beach setting. For something called a beach festival, you barely even felt connected to the ocean. Most of the venue felt like a standard concert setup with some sand added in certain areas rather than a true coastal experience. If it wasn't for the palm trees, it could be in Missouri. I mean, come on the lineup Lenny Kravitz Digable Planets, sublime The Beach Boys, Alanis Morissette I mean the list goes on. You know we wish they all could be California girls. I think because of the beach boys, the crowd was definitely amplified much more classier. Well if you know anything about me, I put the ass in class ! Where else would you want to see the Beach boys but at the beach! I am so really grateful to have VIP this year . So important if you need to sit down and you still want a little bit of backstage access. One day I will get to the captain area mark my words, captain area is the top tier of festival goers you can stand in the most perfect spots with comfortable couches. It's amazing. So excited to see Alanis Morissette. She really left it all out there. Amazing to see such a huge crowd of people singing her songs. Isn't it ironic that they weren't all girls singing? As I was contemplating how I want to roll out Yelp 2024, the Beachlife Festival is the clear standout! I absolutely loved everything about BeachLife Ranch! It was totally fun, clean, chill, and leveled up! I was somewhat hesitant in that my previous experiences with music festivals have been dusty with questionable crowds. But this experience in the South Bay was totally sparkly and upscale in comparison! The service was top notch, and it was a really great, chill, cool, and polished crowd. Add Jack Johnson to the mix, and I'm in heaven! It was quite the fabulous time! A 2023 highlight, for sure! read more

The Venue: Can't beat the location, with ocean view & breeze. Of course, the ticket price is a little bit pricey. 3 days fun concerts! There are food & drink vendors. I wish there are more shade on the venue. Under the sun since 11am..... kind of tough. The Performers: I really like it how to schedule so many performers one after the other. I would never get bored. It is nice to enjoy outdoor event! The Parking: Unfortunately they don't have a designated parking lot. Ride share probably be the best choice. However, if you really want to drive there and don't mind walking (10 minutes). There are street parking near the city library area. read more

The acts and venue were pretty good. Lots of food and drink options. We went nite 2 and saw Sublime, Pretenders, Sugar Ray, and Cake (Not a good act this time). One thing, the alcohol is $38 a round (1 beer 12oz, 1 wine 5-6 oz). And for the main acts on the Hightide Stage, be ready to be completely surrounded in a sea of people. If you have an issue with that, and some people do, think twice about positioning to see the stage. You will be surrounded with no exit. We brought blow up chairs. Actually a good move. There is no seating unless you do the VIP up charge ($160 vs 445!). That's. 1 day pass. read more

Captain's pass for years. They had our cell phones for Marketing. They could contact us anytime about anything. In 2024 they canceled due to winds and said they would make an announcement. They made no announcement. When I went to pick up my stuff security had decided they would throw everybody's stuff away. No notification. They did finally get one nice security guy to allow me to get my stuff, but it shows the complete disorganization. They never contacted us again about the cancellation. They just left everyone hanging out and even though they loudly announced, they would follow up with people. The only thing they did was make a vague comment on their Facebook page. So they consider the Facebook page to be communication even though they have everyone's cell phone. Nothing on their other webpages. They just don't care. Don't trust them. They are not ready to handle safety. They are not ready to handle an emergency. If anything goes wrong, it's going to be about protecting themselves and they are not going to do anything for the public. Also consider they might be taking the money from this event to route it towards an event, they prefer to spend money on. read more

The gray skies opened up just in time for the return of the BeachLife Festival to Redondo Beach on Friday, May 5, and and I was there to enjoy the day. See my previous review for the ins and outs of the concert venue. I went with two groups in mind and they both delivered, the Pixies and the Black Keys. I love live music and the beach. #Winning Why 4 stars? Although I went with V.I.P. treatment, the bathroom situation was not ideal. I really paid up for clean accommodations but in the end they were only "kinda" checking for proper wristbands. Next time I go G.A. and save more money for the $18 drinks. LOL. read more

I attended day one only of the three day Beachlife festival, Friday, September 10th 2021. It was a fun day, I went right after work so I arrived around 5pm. They did a great job with the layout and the vendors, I was really impressed. This concert requires proof of having a COVID shot, or you could pay to get a test done on the spot. Once inside not many people wore masks. As for food and drinks, expect festival prices. Every time I got two drinks it was $30/round after tip. BUT, they had excellent craft brews and a variety of mixed drinks. They had plenty of bathrooms, and they were not too dirty, then again, I went on day #1 so there is a sliding scale probably. I really enjoyed the show and the venue, I definitely plan to go again next year. read more

Don't waste your time or money on this company and whatever you do definitely don't buy presale. Presale is suppose to be the best price for customers because you don't know who is performing. They don't sell enough tickets so then they go and put them on sale for less than the presale price you might as well wait until the last minute. The lady who is apparently the director has the absolute worst customer service I've experienced in my life. Rude, condescending, cuts you off when you speak, laughed while I was speaking and hung up on me. All of this was after ignoring my emails for 2 weeks. I will absolutely never support a business that treats customers that way. You guys should be ashamed. Go to Coastal Country the line ups are way better and their customer service couldn't be worse than it is with Beach Life. read more

Fun festival, but pricey. Three day festival: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Came here for just one of the days on a Saturday and got to see Sugar Ray, which was awesome! The lead singer, Mark McGrath, was hilarious and really kept the crowd going! Jason Mraz was second to last finishing the day off for Saturday. Food and alcohol was very pricey, but that's to be expected in a venue like this. The venue charging so much per ticket on top of the food and alcohol prices, was just too much (~$100/ticket). For a tiny cup of beer it was ~$13, for a Moscow mule ~$15 (hardly any alcohol in it). At one of the booths (John's Juice) you could get an actual coconut with coconut juice in it, pineapple with pineapple juice in it, and a watermelon with watermelon juice in it (each for $9). Otherwise, it was a very nice venue right by the beach and beautifully laid out. They also put out some AstroTurf, which was nice to sit, chill, and relax on. They had a plethora of booths giving out free stuff as well. Would have been nice, since they had two main stages, to put the other concert on the tv screens, so you don't have to lose your spot going back and forth between the stages. Also, for next year, it would be nice to put out some tents/more shade so you're not frying out in the sun all day. Overall, fun event and kinda cool to be able to come to the first year of this event. I would think about coming back next year if the prices came down. read more

Best music festival by the beach with the best bands and the best music with plenty of food and drinks

Worst event I've ever been to. Paid for VIP access to the recent Beachlife Ranch event but no one, save one diligent volunteer, was actually trying to police the areas. So, there were tons of folks who didn't pay for access using the amenities intended for the VIPs. There was plenty of non-vip areas for food, drink and restrooms so there was no excuse. Such a ripoff! So disappointing. I have been to many much better and bigger events (Coachella) where VIP had some meaning. If the promoters are not willing to honor the exclusivity of what VIPs are supposed receive just jump into your time machines and go back to open seating of the 70's and I'll be happy to bring my cooler and blanket. But don't make me pay extra for amenities that are available to all because your are too weak to actually patrol the crowd. Shame on you. read more

Great layout and well organized! We had 1 day VIP passes. Let me tell you something. This was the cleanest, most immaculate music event I've ever seen! There wasn't one bottle cap or even a piece of kleenex anywhere to be found from the entrance to the booths to the bars to the stages. You could hang out on the beach front, picnic style on the astro turf and there's lots of food booths to choose from. The people employed to service the festival are really helpful, considerate, and treat you like family. Top notch sound system and line array speakers. Whoever is in charge of managing and organizing this festival definitely knows what they're doing! read more

5 STARS! BeachLife Festival Hit a Home Run in it's first time out! LA Music Festivals have pretty well died out. Why? People are no longer willing to hand over Big Bucks to a Music Festival to see 11 Bands they hate & 1 Band they like. LOL! Beachlife is getting us a step closer to what people really want A Music Experience Festival not a Music Festival. They brought in a A little Bit of 67 Monterey Pop, a little Bit Woodstock. with the Sitar Music, a little bit 60s & 70s with Tie Dye & Bellbottoms & a slight Hippie Vibe. It was also a return to SOCAL Beach Parties with real sand between your toes @ The Seaside Lagoon. There were Separate stages & separate areas to stand or sit including the Fake Astro Turf Grass perfect to spread your blanket. I loved the No chair policy just stand or sit on grass or sand. It's all about being Barefoot Dammit! You could even take a snooze on a carpet in a tepee, shoes checked at the front. There was some cool art work, a retro Hippie Van, & some unique items to purchase. There were also some of today's Staples: Food Trucks & of course Festival Merchandise Booths. At most festivals there's an Information Booth but you have to Find it first. This was Brilliant have Information People walking around with Big Signs that said Ask Me. No Congestion getting some 12,000 people every day into the Festival to see 40 Bands over the 3 day period. Some people walked, Uber, Public Transportation, some Biked In or took the Shuttle or even took their cars with multiple parking lots. Businesses in the Area also rented out their parking spaces. There were Lots of ways to get in here & it wasn't a traffic Nightnare. Everything was carefully thought out. They got a lot of Cool people to come here too. They came to Dance, Party & Sing the Songs. All ages were at this festival from Parents with kids, to teenagers, Millennials, Baby Boomers & Seniors. We got there late afternoon to catch some of the bands. The crowd was just gettting acclamated to this new concept. There was Jason Mraz singing his Signature Song I'm Yours. Then they brought in a sitar player reminiscent of Ravi Shankar @ The 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. & 69 Woodstock Festival. The last act of the night was the headliner The Beach Boys who took the Stage & Killed It. They had the whole audience singing all their songs & Dancing. Isn't that what it's all about? The Beach Boys walked away with a whole new set of Younger Fans they never had before. Lots of people had a Great Time here. They did a Fantastic Job transforming this whole area. Can't wait for next year. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. For the amount of money we had to pay for the ticket you would think there would be more places where people can stand in the shade. It was so hot all weekend. I ended up with heat stroke on the first day and couldn't even attend the rest of your festival. Please purchase some Ez ups or more awnings so people aren't dying of heat exhaustion and sun exposure. read more

We loved going to this in 2019 and were so excited to go again in 2020. The pandemic moved it several times but we held onto our tickets. The line up changed to people we weren't that interested in but we decided to still go for a fun family day and help the local economy. They announced that you had to be vaccinated or have a negative test to enter, even small children. I tried to make arrangements for tests that fell through a few days ahead but we planned on doing the free 15 minute testing when we got there. I then saw on Instagram the morning of our day (Friday) that they had announced the night before that the covid free tests would now be $50 per person! Someone asked on Instagram if refunds would be available and the account told them where to email regarding that request. I spoke with my husband and we decided that with the less interesting line up AND having to pay an additional $50 per person we would email asking for a refund, which I did. I didn't get a response until the next day (Saturday), almost 36 hours later giving me recommendations for other testing options when I made it clear that my tickets were for the Friday. I got a blanket response that I have to show a positive Covid test in order to get a refund but they would not otherwise give a refund. I am extremely frustrated, disgusted and disappointed as this was an event we planned to attend as a family for years to come. I'm sure the few hundred dollars I paid for tickets won't make or break them but the horrendous customer service is really my main complaint. Why not offer to apply some credit to a future year or something at least? They literally changed things at the last minute and are offering refunds to others but I was left with the choice that I had to either pay a bunch more unexpected money or get sick to get my money back. And just an FYI I am partially vaccinated but that wasn't good enough to substitute testing and my young child isn't eligible. read more

It's a fledgling festival so have to cut it some slack. Comparing VIP Experience here to Bottlerock and it's not a close comparison (Bottlerock hands down). Perhaps not fair to compare but if they're going to charge the same, should be a comparable experience. Beachlife has potential but needs work. Areas that need improvement: Sound: Revivalists on Friday- could not hear the singer for the duration of their time. He seemed to point it out during the performance but no one fixed it. Lighting- Cage the Elephant was too dark to see the band for the duration and camera work was sub-standard at the Lowtide stage throughout. Video- poor camera work throughout and relatively tiny screens. Felt like a sucker paying for VIP at Beachlife (it's worth it at Bottlerock, it isn't at Beachlife). VIP Areas at each stage were significantly off to the side of the stage. General had superior access to stage views. Food/drink was over-priced, even for a festival (at least at Bottlerock, your $20 lunch buys you gourmet food from Tarla's, Morimoto, Keller, etc. paid $60 for a couple of food truck gyros at Beachlife (as that was one of the better options at the festival). Luckily, Quality Seafood is down the street (and was awesome and affordable). Will say it was nice to be able to afford to stay across the street from the Beachlife festival, walk to the entrance, and entry was a breeze. Lineup comes down to preference (several former Bottlerock favorites is what lured us this year). Of the artists we'd seen at both festivals, have to say we enjoyed them more at Bottlerock. read more
