My husband and I had a small budget for our wedding, but wanted to find a place we could celebrate with about 75 people that would be close to our neighborhood. I had made all of the arrangements with Pat, the Manager of the VFW, and she was a really nice older woman who helped with the contract and getting the caterer set-up. I think we paid about $300 to rent the hall for 4 hours, and we put a deposit of $250 for the cash-bar, which is refundable if your guests spend at least that much through out the night. There are also hooks all along the walls that you can use to hang things for decorations, but there are limitations on what can be put up, or taken down, since it is a VFW. The hall is surprisingly nice (I didn't know what to expect for a VFW) and there is a small stage at the front for the DJ. They also provide standard round tables, rectangular tables, and chairs for events, at no extra costs, which was super nice. There was a good size bar at the back of the hall, with reasonable prices for drinks, and a small kitchen that the caterer could use to prep for the wedding before hand. The only thing I wish was that the hall could be entered from the front of the building instead of the back, because the front entrance is quite pretty, but the back entrance leads to a darkish hall-way that smells of cigarette smoke permeating from the bar downstairs. Once you are inside the hall, though, everything is great, and the price can't be beat, since it's close to public transportation and has plenty of parking in the lot out back.

I know the commander well and neither he nor the bar manager (who both process applications) would ever say something like that. They welcome all new veterans with open arms and, unlike the last commander, have instituted a policy of paying your dues if you're still serving. We also do NOT have a family and wife chapter. There is a Ladies Auxiliary and Associate Membership. EDIT: Better late than never edit responding to ST, There is no one in our front office named "Paul". This was brought up at the meeting held after I saw this review as well and there is no Paul on the Board of Directors or in any command/leadership position that is ever in the front office. Furthermore, they are not working to bar non-pro war groups from marching. The first review smacks of some sort of troll/wank. I am female, a veteran, a full fledged member and I attend meetings and am part of the voting process at this post. And I have to say, I'm pretty pissed that this crock of BS is still on here.

Ricky, the event coordinator, patiently responded to all my questions and the staff did an incredible job setting up the space. The atmosphere was lovely, the playlist was great! I cannot recommend this venue enough for your next event. Thank you to Ricky and the rest of the staff for such a memorable and beautiful evening!!

Staff maintained the food service regularly and cleaned up so quietly I hardly even noticed them. Bathrooms were small and oddly located (under the stairs and tucked away upstairs). Getting there was easy from the T and there are several public lots/garages nearby.

I haven't seen such service for a long time! The restaurant is decorated with special love. Very stylish. Street parking is free. The decoration of the table cannot be described in words at all. You should definitely try the Turkish coffee that Misha himself brews. He even helped take out the cake very beautifully! We were very pleased. DJ Igor Boston Entertainment helped us provide the music for the celebration. We danced until we dropped. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.
