Inside the store you will find room after room crammed floor to ceiling with art, antiques, jewelry, collectibles, china, and furniture. You have to be careful as you maneuver because every surface contains a treasure. Prices were out of my budget but if you are looking for a certain item I am sure they have it. Their collection spans time as well as continents. I saw many items that I have only seen in museums like a German mustache cup. They have one they talk about on their tour at the St. Lucie Historical Society museum. It's a china cup with a built in lip to catch a gentleman mustache so it doesn't get wet when drinking coffee or tea. Even if you are only browsing it is like a museum in here. I loved my visit to Rennick's. You could easily get lost for hours. The staff was so sweet and welcoming too. If you have any interest in history or antiques then you will want to come here because this store is a wonderful place to time travel back to the finer things of the past.

There are very fine pieces of art and antiques with a mixture of cultural expressions from estate sales and family heirlooms. This would be the place to come to get fine items appraised and to pick up things you'd never see at your local flea market. In the same plaza as Threads is the Antique Workshop and Estate Sales of Vero Beach. There is some parking in front of the building but also in a gravel lot on the side. This cute boutique is actually quite large and has two rooms selling gently used, name brand clothes and accessories from Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Johnny Was, and Lilly Pulitzer to name a few. I especially loved the colorful Lily Pulitzer dresses. They have a sale system where one star is 25 percent off and 2 star is 50 percent off. Since this is consignment expect higher prices than say a thrift store but still discounted off of retail price. Note that all sales are final, no exceptions. Unfortunately I came in 15 minutes before closing and they sure let me know it. Perhaps if I find myself in the area again I'll come back (earlier).

I asked if she could find out or call someone and she said no she wouldn't and that it was the owner's day off and that no one would be available to help. I was astounded; why would it be on the sales floor if it wasn't for sale and why on earth with this woman not make an attempt to price it and sell it to me? She was also very rude when speaking to me. Would not recommend this store. There are many others with much friendlier environments.

A large and unique selection of items coupled with reasonable prices had me leaving with several items. The first item I coveted was a signed print of a heron by artist W. Harold Hancock. The price was $139. I was afraid to ask about it but I knew it would be perfect in my dining room. I ended up getting the print for $60. The frame and matting costs more. Thank you so much Mary, I love it. It makes me smile every time I see it. I have enjoyed learning about the artist. I also picked up a bust of Caesar? because he needed a home and two Asian pagoda lanterns made out of heavy pig iron from their garden area. There is so much to see. Most of the items are individual vendors but they are happy to call them and pitch your offer. You can feel comfortable offering 20 percent less than the marked prices. I appreciate how everything had a price so you didn't have to guess. The inventory changes monthly and the staff is wonderful.I actually stumbled on this place by accident when I overshot a turn. It was just meant to be.

My photos only give you a peek of what you can expect once you enter the property that's by design and shows a little more of my selfish tendencies when it come to one of my hobbies. If you're a seasoned collector or a novice you will equally be impressed. The owner and his consignment partners have done an excellent job in presenting an exceptional collection. The prices reflect the quality so don't expect thrift store prices here. I am sure they would deal with serious collectors and understand condition so put your bargaining skills to good use but understand it pays to know what your buying its rarity and value before throwing out an offer.
