Unable to care for herself, even the basics of cooking and getting dressed, I searched Yelp for options and found Joy. As a registered nurse, I wanted to see if I could hire her to spend Tues-Sun looking after my wife until I arrived home Monday. She said she would stop by in a few hours to check in on her, and within 45 minutes of arriving, had helped my wife with some of the personal and house care duties she'd been unable to perform on her own. More importantly, she was able to assess my wife's devolving physical condition, called, and said she was rushing her to the emergency room. Trying to soldier through the pain, my wife was unaware how poorly she was doing, and didn't know some scary things had started to happen internally. Joy, with her RN training, was a true and genuine lifesaver. Once admitted, and after running a number of tests, the ER doctor told us my wife was 2-3 days away from going into a coma or having a heart attack. As I was not due home for another 6 days, I fear to think where we'd be without Joy's willingness to take my call, make a fast check-up on my wife, and make a judgement call that literally saved my wife's life. This isn't so much of a testimonial as it is an eternal thank you.
