The other quotes I received were either so low that they were suspect or so high that I knew I'd have been paying for their flashy trucks and advertisements. Denver Roof Pros is an honest local business doing it right! You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't consider this company for your roofing needs. I'm a retired systems engineer and so had the time and inclination to research the roofing…read morematerials, the applicable county statutes for roofing, and I also took the time to get eight estimates. Denver Roof Pros were not the lowest estimate and not even close to the highest estimate (So, if you get an estimate and it seems high, make sure you get another). Two of the highest estimates were three times the price quoted by Denver Roof Pros, so there are some roofing companies that cannot be giving you value/ I researched the materials costs myself, the shingles (class 4), the water and ice protection, the drip and other flashing, the underlayment, the nails -- everything needed. When I added up the costs and made an estimate myself of how many people the roofing team would need on the roof, I came up with my own estimate that was in the ballpark close to the three companies' estimates in the middle of the range of estimates. I don't think of the difference between the middle range estimates and the lowest to be worth it, wondering how the lowest estimates could come out below my own calculation. Fortunately, I got all the information I needed, a sense of commitment from Denver Roof Pros, and their price fell right in the sweet spot mear my own estimate. Glen Gardner, the President of Denver Roofing Pros did the free review and estimate. (All companies I contacted offered free estimates.) Glen told me several things about roof installations that I did not hear from the other companies, so talking to him was very informative. Denver Roof Pros team brought the materials out and loaded them onto the roof on a Friday. That did not take long. Monday morning the team that installed the roofing came. There were eight guys and they finished my close-to-50 square roof by sunset. They were back the next day to finish cleaning up -- and a dual layer previous roof's materials for a 50 square roof is quite a lot to haul away. They finished some flashing and were completed and cleaned-up in a half day. Throughout the install they did a pretty good job of using tarps on the ground beneath the roofs edge, so the cleanup was thorough and quick. There were several people I could connect with to get updates during the project but I really didn't need to track anyone down and Glen got back to me when I had a question. This team ensures the guys on the roof are in safety harnesses, and because it was a busy crew of 8 on the roof, that made me much less nervous. So, Glen's team takes extra precautions. There was at least one lead guy there making sure all went smooth the whole day. And things did go smooth. I'd come out to watch multiple times through the day and everything just kept progressing -- including someone always moving old roofing into the dumpsters. A gutter team arrived Tuesday and had the gutter installed in about a half day. I've been up on the roof to check out the workmanship and since I put my own roof on the previous time, I think I was able to understand all the nuances -- and the workmanship was fine, including solid flashing around the skylights and the addition of a new ridge vent system. Like I said, I out the previous roof on myself and I think this team was putting as much care into the roof install as I did on my own DIY project. We experienced hail damage to our 1980's brown bubbled skylights. We were so excited to be able to get new updated clear skylights. I did lots of research looking for the right company to do our repairs. We found Skylight Specialists and decided to give them a call for an estimate quote for our insurance company. I spoke with Josh Ewing. He was very knowledgeable about the products, product options, and provided us an estimate for our insurance company quicker than expected. We decided to go through Skylight Specialists and Josh Ewing got everything handled and got our materials on order. Mike called once all the materials arrived to schedule but unfortunately our HOA decided to replace the roofs so it put our skylights on hold for a couple of months. Skylight Specialists were amazing with holding on to our materials and being patient while we waited for the roof to be replaced. Once the roof was replaced, Mike setup the install for us. Kenny and Devin arrived promptly even earlier than expected which was awesome and they completed the job sooner than I had expected. The quality of the materials, the installation, and customer service received during this whole experience was top notch. I originally requested a Saturday appointment, but because none was available, we delayed our vacation departure specifically to accommodate their Monday appointment scheduled between 1:00 and 1:15 p.m. Unfortunately, no one showed up. By 1:45 p.m., I had to call the company myself to find out what had happened. I spoke with Blade, who was cordial and explained that my phone number apparently had not been "keyed" into their system correctly. This was particularly frustrating because I entered my information correctly when scheduling online, and they had both my correct email address and home address in their system. Blade said he had attempted to text me and wanted to reschedule for another day. However, when a customer doesn't respond to a text--particularly for a scheduled sales appointment--a simple follow-up email or phone-number verification could have prevented the situation. What bothered me most was that although Blade was cordial, there was no real acknowledgment that their mistake had wasted my time and caused us to delay our vacation departure for an appointment they failed to keep. Instead, the solution was simply to reschedule for another day. Mistakes happen. An incorrectly entered phone number alone would not normally cause me to leave a negative review. The bigger issue was the lack of follow-through. They had my correct email and address, yet apparently made no additional attempt to contact me, and I ultimately had to call them to find out they weren't coming. Window and door replacement is a significant investment that requires accurate measurements, careful coordination, good communication, and attention to detail. If a company can't reliably manage the initial sales and measurement appointment, it raises legitimate concerns about how the actual installation and any subsequent issues will be handled. Based on our experience, I would recommend potential customers take this into consideration before choosing this company.

When I finally found some licensed roofers, getting a quote or responses was a challenge. Rocky Mountain Roof Doctors was the most professional and responsive. They gave me time frames for coming out to do the estimate and delivered within that time frame. They sent the estimate in a timely fashion and quoted far less for the repair than the other companies--and those companies took far longer to do the estimate and didn't seem interested in my small job. Since my repair was not urgent, they let me know they'd call when they planned to be in the neighborhood for other work and would swing by for our repair. They did just that, calling the day before and giving us a four-hour window the next day. Crew members came by about 1/2 hour into that window and were done rather quickly. I'll definitely call them again if I need roof work.
