I have used these guys for years. I have referred others to them. Are we allowed to give a six star review? While things almost always go well when they're working on it, So far, so good. But I recently had a matter that required them to come back twice. They came back quickly. The third time they fixed it. There was only one bill. How could you ask for better? I only fear that when I have referred them to others and give them a good review, there may be too many people who want them for me to get them as promptly as they always have responded. I called Monday January 8, they came Tuesday morning. They told me $1000 to replace a motor on a 23 yo furnace. I decided to replace. Brain came out that afternoon. We scheduled for the replacement on Thursday morning. Good thing, it stopped working Wednesday night. Very professional. read more

When I called, I described the problem (lots of water coming out through the water heater's pressure relief valve), but the repairman didn't have a needed replacement part with him (expansion tank), so the repairman left and didn't return until the next day. I was charged $150 for the replacement expansion tank, which sells for $60 at Home Depot, and the visit itself was billed at $86. A markup is expected for parts, but not 250%. From start to finish, the entire replacement job took under ten minutes. The actual labor consisted of unscrewing the defective expansion tank and screwing in the replacement tank, not a whole lot different from changing a light bulb, so the charge can't be explained away by complicated labor. read more

I'm very disappointed with Beam. I called two weeks prior to schedule service. Two weeks was the soonest they could come for furnace maintenance. I made arrangements with my work so that I could be present for the maintenance, and the morning of the scheduled service they called and cancelled my service because their techs were too busy servicing A/C issues due to the hot weather. The receptionist was very nice both times I spoke with her and I have no complaints there, but I can never recommend doing business with a company that shows a complete disrespect for other people's time and doesn't keep appointments because they are too busy with some emergency A/C repair calls that would pay more than my scheduled service call. read more

Over a frigid weekend, our furnace stopped. I called on a Saturday for service, and within an hour, I had a return phone call from Keith of Beam Heating & Air Conditioning. Within another hour, he was at our home. After getting the furnace to work, he had warned us that it may not continue working due to its age. By that evening, it had stopped again. We placed another call on Sunday, and by Monday morning, we had received a call from Brian who visited us that same day. We got a fantastic quote from him on the replacement of both our furnace and air conditioner. We had also contacted two other companies with little response. Beam's quote was well below the others we received. By 8:00 a.m.Tuesday morning, Al and Ben were at our door and had totally replaced both units by early afternoon. All the employees associated with Beam were professional, experienced, and trustworthy. They all made a bad situation for us much more bearable. My air conditioner stopped working yesterday evening. So I called Beam at about 7:15this morning. The man I spoke with was friendly and professional. He said he would send a technician this morning. Tech arrived at 10 AM and started to work. After a few minutes he found the problem. A mouse had moved into the outside compressor and chewed some wires after replacing the chewed and cleaning out the debris he tested the unit filled out the paperwork took my credit card information and left. I am extremely pleased with the staff at Beams, from the pleasant receptionist who takes the order to the mechanic who fixes the problem. I had 3 unrelated malfunctions recently, in one of their busiest times of the year, and the mechanics arrived on time, if not before..(they called first), diagnosed the problem and took care of repairs in short order! Our furnace/AC stopped blowing air without any warning. Beam replaced our office furnace/AC a few years back and did a great job. I went to Beam's website and used the REQUEST REPAIR tab at 10AM. It wasn't an emergency and I thought I'd hear from them in a day or 2. I received a call from their technician Keith within 2 hours and my furnace was fixed by 1:30PM. We had a new A/C unit installed and the installation team was prompt, efficient, and very professional. They cleaned up the entire work area and completed the job in a very timely fashion. I am totally disappointed with Beam after a recent air conditioner issue. Things started out ok after I made an appointment and the service person did a repair and replaced the capacitor. Everything seemed to be working. Exactly four weeks later, the air conditioner was not cooling so I called Beam and the same service person returned and said now I have a leak and it would be impossible to find. He said he could put in three pounds of Freon at a cost of around $500 to temporarily fix the issue but there were not guarantees how long it would last. He then recommended an entire new unit at a cost of approximately $3000. I told him I would have to think about it. In the meantime, I got another person to come look at my air conditioner. Within 1 minute, he found the leak and said it appeared that whoever worked on this either intentionally didn't tighten up the bolts when he was there last time or he didn't even attempt to find the leak and wanted to just sell me 3 pounds of Freon or a new unit. This other person fixed the leak immediately and he had to add Freon but only 1.5 pounds. I fill I was ripped off by Beam and will be telling anyone I know never to use them. I tried to call 3 times and talk to the owner but he never returned my calls. read more
