We got a couple of things, the medium acai bowl (easily shareable between two people), matcha latte, vanilla latte, and a breakfast sandwich. The food was very fresh and the latte was very good! The fruits were very fresh on the acai bowl. The matcha was just ok and we wished that we added a meat to the breakfast sandwich since it was missing a bit of saltiness. With that being said, everything about this is relaxed and cozy: from the interior, to the nice staff, to even the easiness of parking/accessibility from the main street. The tables each had the wifi password so for those staying a while and needing internet while working, you don't have to ask the baristas for the wifi password. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is I wish they would've provided more baked goods or food options. They had one sandwich option when I came in before 11am, a bagel option, and just a handful of different pastries. The shelves looked half empty so I'm assuming there's normally more options? I find it a convenient spot for my cool down treat as it's on the strip right close to the foot of White Rock Pier, Canada's longest. Ask for samples first before you settle on a flavour or two. My favourite for gelato right now is still Bella Gelateria, in Vancouver. Maya's selection of gelato is limited, but 100% worth it especially when it's 35°C / 95F outside. There's plenty of restaurants nearby as well with several fish & chip spots & burger joints. Parking is a challenge along the entire strip, but if you're patient, unlike me, you'll find a spot so worry not. Keep in mind that the strip which runs along the beach, draws heavy traffic.
