Stopped by for coffee after lunch. It's not just coffee, they have pre-made burritos, pastries, and various desserts. Coffee was excellent. They have lot of seating area with electrical outlets. There is larger second floor and even a cute little back patio, but it was closed at the time. read more

Miss coming here for tea. Such a comfy vibe, such yummy baked goods. :( I absolutely adore their herbal tea selection and their walnut muffins. I also love how they have large tables to study/read at-- I miss the simple joy of working on my lab reports at a coffee shop! I simply cannot wait to give them my business again as soon as the pandemic ends. read more

I love Bean Scene! Beats any coffee I think I've truly ever had (and I'm from Vancouver, coffee capital)... Every time I'm in the Okanagan I make an effort to go to Bean Scene for their gorgeous (in looks and taste) lattes or americanos. I also buy beans to bring home... maybe they'll consider expanding to Vancouver? Just sayin'! PS love the new location with roof top deck, it so retains its original location feel with more room. read more

I was charged $2.00 extra to get skim milk in my latte. When I questioned it I was told it was a milk upgrade. Phoned a couple days later to talk to the manager - no apology, just a very abrupt "it was a mistake" but that was very quickly followed up with "there's not even an option to do that" as if I was making it up. Have gone there for years but very disappointed with the reaction of the "manager" Perhaps my expectations are too high but I thought a gee, sorry about that, maybe even an offer to make it right might have been in order - not questioning whether it happened. Guess the Blenz across the street will get my business now. read more

Best americano I've had in Canada. I always get extra shots because I like my coffee strong. I probably didn't need to add the extra to this coffee because it was so flavourful. Not bitter, just lots of body with great crema. I would have given 5 stars but their pastry/baking options paled in comparison to other places. But I went there for the coffee, and they didn't disappoint! read more

Well, after reading all the reviews I am at a loss. The 2 Americano take-aways I ordered this morning were terrible. When I gave my wife hers I didn't say anything. Upon tasting it she said "Is there any coffee in this? It tastes like hot water!" This was exactly my take on it as well. It did look like coffee when you looked in the cup. Sorry now I didn't go back and tell them. read more

Just a coffee shop that I have coffee at almost everyday, but when you change your business hours but don't change them on google or bean scene's answer machine. Oh... I phoned multiple times since my time to come down here was already invested. Chances they picked up Incase it's maybe something important. Fail . Big fail. Will has to switch locations . Wanted a nice coffee to kick off our vacation and lucked out with this place! With seating on two levels it had a warm and pleasant vibe. If the weather were more cooperative we'd be outside on the second floor patio. Latte is well made and the energy ball is delicious. Great coffee! Headed here to do some work in the morning during the week one day, ended up surrounded by lots of noise and the place was packed! But put in headphones and all was good. The staff was friendly and there was a water dispenser available for you to get yourself some water. Overall a great place to get coffee and get some work done if you don't mind working with some noise. read more

This is a great little coffee shop with a fun, slightly hipsterish vibe. Located on the main strip in Kelowna's newly revamped downtown, it's something of an institution. The staff have always been super friendly and very helpful whenever I go in, and the drinks are great. I had a lemongrass, liquorice, ginger tea and Boyfriend had a peppermint; they were both super tasty and the staff were very happy to transfer my teabag to a to-go cup and fill it with more hot water when we left! The decor is super cute and rustic, with wood everywhere, and a selection of well-loved couches in the back. There's a slightly French vibe to the back area, enhanced by the giant Toulouse Lautrec-eqsue wall hangings. They have reusable cutlery, and water easily accessible for everyone - two super important things! Bean Scene is an adorable local spot and I definitely recommend it! read more

Skillfully-made espresso is let down by bland beans. There's too much syrup in the London Fogs. The Hipster vibe is poured on pretty thick: it reminds me of Stumptown more than JJ Bean. Big tables good for homework or groups. Cookies but no real food. Cheap! read more

Visited this cafe today for the first time. Not impressed. No prices listed... That doesn't make sense. I couldn't figure out the theme here... Tattered couches, comic strips taped on the display case...They have a short selection of drinks, both hot and cold. A small selection of pastries, pre packaged soups and sandwiches are available. 2 small cappuccinos with almond milk were close to $9.00. A bit much for 2 short size drinks. In any case... There are a lot of other cafe's to check out in Kelowna... That maybe don't smell like they've been wiped down with a dirty cloth. read more

Best Chia latte I've had. The staff was extremely friendly and even told us how to go about buying the Chia tea my boyfriend had locally. We wanted to pick some up before we headed back to the states. It was very warm and cozy on a snowy day and a great way to spend about 30 minutes before heading off to eat lunch. I had the pleasure of visiting Kelowna for work and I was so excited to try as many local coffee spots as possible. This place is wonderful. I had a gusto latte, which they make with 3 shots of espresso! This might not be exciting news to some...but where I live, most lattes only come with two. Not only was my latte delicious (and pretty) but I decided to splurge and try the carrot, orange and cream cheese loaf, which was also wonderful. I was told they make different loaves each day, so I highly recommend giving it a try. I sincerely hope I return to Kelowna soon, and when I do, I'll be stopping here again. read more

A quaint little coffee shop downtown with great vibes! I love the staff because they're so energetic with their work. The shop itself isn't big, but has comfortable couches and tables for you to sit in. I do recommend coming on the weekdays since it's packed during the weekends. I ordered a large latte when I first came here, and the size was huge. Nevertheless the taste was amazing. Would definitely come here again. read more

I wasn't going to bother reviewing until someone said it had been modernized into a Starbucks. Completely crazy review. Retro furniture, local artwork ( some good, some awful, mainly ok, amateur but fun) and maybe the best coffee in town if not exactly the best in the world. They also had mille-feuille, which is made of thin layers of pastry with pastry cream in between. It blew my mind. Service was okay. The young women who worked in both places were super busy and a bit impatient. As far ambiance goes, everything was bright white and clean. Expect a line.

Mediocre espresso and the service matches. Pseudo hipster scene doesn't help and it always feels a little dirty in there. Tried going back a few times but always get ignored for a couple minutes while the staff finish their conversation. Walk a few blocks to Gio Bean and get friendly service and amazing espresso in a clean cafe. Oh and there are always about 4 people outside smoking and stinking up the side-walk. read more
