Now this is a good morning!
    Brittany H.

Stayed here for 5 days and can't wait to come back. I honestly did want to leave. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The camp grounds are clean and we'll spaced. I like this spot because is has trees and a good view of the lake. There is a restaurant in the lodge as well as a small store that has a few items. You can buy ice, firewood, fishing licenses and rent boats. We reserve out spots a year in advance. I'm wanting to add an extra week here during the summer we love it so much.

    Wires showing..

My family and I did not have such a great experience from beginning to end. we did not mind the rustic outdoors or the mouses an spiders in the cabin, or even the beautiful view of the lake but, we did mind the carbon monoxide alarm going off the first night there @ 3am .. took unit to front office to be replaced and never got another unit to put in cabin. We did mind having to move cabins because according to owner my boys toilet plugged from the party b4 us shoving the toilet full of tampons. We did mind that when we moved to the new cabin we found old stale muffins in the oven and the dishes were dirty. We did mind that when I took my daughter and grandson out to eat at their diner that her food was cold CFS and he/ the server took it back to warm it up and never returned her food and gave us a check he also never came back an offered refills on drinks either. We did mind that this place is a complete fire hazard. We were given a lot rules of being cleanly or we would be charged xtra fees and the cabins were not so cleanly or inspected very well themselves .. we were told we'd be charged for anything they had to clean. We rented 3 cabins a party of 12 out of the 3 we were in 2 of the toilets needed to be serviced .. My sons sheet had a brown stain on it. Wires are showing from power outlets. Broken window in one of the cabins. You had to unplug the fridge so the heater would work and visa versa. too much power to one outlet or not enough. We paid 1400$ to stay here 3 days. Customer service was not very good. It was almost like because they were told about the problems we were having in the cabins it was our fault and it got us poor service. I will say the mountain is beautiful and has a beautiful view but sleeping at night was a problem as my carbon monoxide alarm was never returned and the cabins are ran off propane. As wires are showing in cabins. I slept with the windows open. I think your judgment clouded your brains.. Ty for giving me an opportunity to write a review.

Caught at panguitch lake. Fat rainbow.

The map on here is wrong... this place is right on Panguitch Lake. Panguitch, Utah is a town about 15 minutes from Panguitch Lake, Utah. This place isn't exactly a resort... it has some cabins, tiny store and a restaurant. They also rent fishing boats. This is a great place to get away from the city - I like the fact that there is no cell phone service up here!!! The place is a bit kitchy - but it more than serves it's purpose. This place is great because you can wake up, walk across the street and start fishing. The cabins are stocked with a stove, beds, bunk beds, referigerator, coffee maker, a few dishes... I think you are better off just bringing some tv dinners and quick snacks as opposed to cooking. I would rather spend time fishing than doing dishes! Very friendly service - it feels like you are visiting family there... The restaurant is basic but they make pretty good food there. The fishing can be excellent to straight up crappy! This past weekend made up for every slow fishing day here. We caught rainbows, cuttthroat and a tiger trout ranging from 15-22". Hats off to the Utah division of wildlife for bringing Panguitch back. I would go here every weekend if I could.

I have so many great things to say about this place and the people who run it. We went to UT for Father's Day weekend. We were supposed to stay at another RV park but they double booked and we ended up getting screwed and had to find somewhere else to stay. It was the best thing that could have happened to us. If it didn't we wouldn't have found this gem. Nicky, her husband Adrian, Christine and her husband Scott were the absolute best hosts we've ever had anywhere. They were all so nice and helpful and didn't seem bothered by the billion questions we had. We're new to the trailer life and have plenty of learning to do. The site it self was very clean and well taken care of. The fishing was awesome. Well, for our 11 year old anyway. He caught 6 beautiful rainbows. My husband and I only got three between the two of us. lol We rented a pontoon boat for one afternoon and the boat boy was great too. We can't wait to go back again. We loved it so much we booked the whole Father's Day week next year. It's going to be our new tradition trip.

We love Bear Paw resort! Owners & staff are awesome and friendly. Definitely a summer must! Also the restaurant is very good with friendly staff. I highly recommend Stopping by and staying some nights!

This is a rustic resort. Everyone has a piece of Heaven here. Our cabin was neat, clean and comfy. We had a private "backyard" which backed up to the forest with a table and fire ring. It also had great views of the lake at sunset and that means sunset pictures. Stove, fridge, Micro, Coffee Maker, toaster sink and small fan. No air conditioning but heck you're in the mountains and nighttime can get in the low 50's It's basic but functions well. Nicky and Nick we're our contacts and gracious hosts. They have boat rentals, both pontoons and fishing across the street which opens at 7am. Make your reservations at the resort and pic it up across the street at the docks when you are ready. They also have bait and a small store. The Café is located at the office (with great views of the lake from it's outdoor deck, bring your well behaved dog) which is closed on Mon/Tuesday and I think open till 9pm. Although it doesn't have wi-fi through out it has great reception at the office, inside and out. Everyone usually shows up there, they even have 2 picnic tables outdoors to relax and surf the web or order food. It's a non-pretentious resort. It's also a family friendly place and everyone appeared to know each other eventually. It's Mountain Utah chic It's close to Cedar Breaks and other high country sites. Although we had to leave early we were pleasantly surprised and will return. Great Place.

Thanks to bad service at the other place we rented a boat we stumbled on Bear Paw Lake View Resort. We called first on the phone and the person we talked to was very nice to us and told us that they maintain their boats. When we went in a few days later the gentleman that helped us was very, very nice. The prices of the boats were very reasonable and they had someone help us get out on the lake and when we came from fishing there was someone there to help us dock the boat unlike the other place we had rented a few days prior. We will go back and rent boats again and try their restaurant. We did buy a few items like ice cream and soda from the little store, daughter swung on the swing and we used the restrooms. There were cabins all around and the place was very clean. We were very happy with everything about Bear Paw and will be back next year.

    Hummingbirds abound throughout the resort.

Great place to stay, unplug and fish, great food as well. Cabins are cozy and basic, just like I like it.

Therefore, the fewer choices for non-monopolistic groceries, gas and amenities, like Ruby's. Old Panguitch town is a leisurely 30 minute country drive to the park entrance. Close knit residents serve the town, hospitality, farming and ranching industries. There are a few restaurants, Antique/Gift Shops, 2 grocers, and a Chevron Gas. Oh, you need to hit the State Liquor store if you want booze or Wine. FYI 6/2021 They are currently building a new "Travel Lodge." Managers/Owners David (Cowboy) and Chrissy are friendly, garrulous, accommodating and usually are found on property cleaning, improving or involved with local events. They have clearly assimilated to Utah from Texas. When we arrived we were upgraded to an awesome kitchenette because we did not have TV cable in one room. Since we were hiking and riding, it was great to store beverages and prepare a few dinners comfortably. The grounds are not manicured but clean. The Motel Rooms are rustic and thread-bare worn but they are clean enough for a couple of nights. You might need to drop a few bucks at Joe's or Family Dollar if you want to cook a meal. I did and had fun figuring how to cook and serve a great family Bolognese pasta dish without tongs or a colander. Are there certainly some things that could be improved: another mirror, mounted TV, bathroom layout, clean window treatments, new carpet, basic kitchen tools, a coat of paint, trimming sticking doors, recycling bins, rickety chairs, on and on and on. However, this review of our personal expectations are realistic and tempered with locale, price, convenience and availability. I expected that this would not be the Ritz-Carleton in Paris, France. We needed TP, a wine opener and suggestions beyond the park (Cedar Break) and they were welcoming to those who were as equally friendly and non-judgemental. We don't know what else is out there, but you have our 2-cents for this little, safe and friendly place.

Bed Bugs and worst management…read more I booked this motel for 2 nights with my family. After a long drive, we reached around 11 PM and got Room 12. Around 1 AM, I woke up from continuous biting and found a bed bug on my hand. When we turned on the light, several bed bugs were crawling on the bed, and my spouse was also bitten. I reported it to manager Anushka and showed her the bugs. She did not seem surprised or concerned. From her reaction, it strongly appeared to me that the property may have already known about this issue but still assigned us that room. The motel was full, so I asked for a refund and another hotel. From about 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM, we sat in the office while Anushka made calls. When I asked what the owner was saying, I was told he had not been called because he must be sleeping. Guests were bitten and awake, but disturbing the owner seemed to matter more. After I insisted, owner Sunny was called. Instead of apologizing, he said pest control had been done recently and I could call the health department if I had concerns. Later he offered his private room, but wanted me to sign a lease agreement, which was unreasonable. We finally slept around 5 AM in his private room which was equally dirty but without bed bugs. We slept just for 4 hours and left next morning, and booked another hotel. We also had to wash and dry our belongings to avoid carrying bed bugs. This ruined our sleep, planning, and vacation. I would not recommend this motel in any condition.

The Indian owner said that he can give me the bed sheet, but we'd have to change it ourselves, which I said that was fine. While on the phone, I also noticed hairs on the pillows and dirty stains on the bed cover. I also ask the owner to bring the pillow sheets and the bed cover, but he is adamant that there are no hotels in the United States that change the beddings everyday..(!!) He also says he has no extra bed covers. I asked him how often he changes them, "every 2-3 days" is his response. He again accentuates that this is "an absolutely common practice in the United States." I'm shocked at his audacity to be honest. Maybe this delusional bonehead really believes in what he is saying. I told him that is not true, and he says "you can go sleep at a different place and pay a $100. We can't change beddings everyday while charging $50." This tells his character in whole. At this point, his nerves must have been struck hard because out of the blue, he tells me write a review, tell the health official, do whatever and see if he cares. His character is really shining through now. He offers a refund for our leave (this rewards him the one star for the review he ill-naturedly requested), which we gladly took. This friendly small town does not have five star $100 hotels, but I found a place to stay just 2 minutes away from this squalid place that is at its cleanest state (Days Inn). The owner of Days Inn was hilarious as she responded to my question of rooms being cleaned out daily "I will raise hell if they don't get cleaned everyday". Thank goodness there exists a hotel in the United States that cleans. The owner simply needed to apologize and provide the clean sheets for us instead of allowing his defensiveness make ignorant statements out of his dim wits. He was impermeable to be reasoned with, his lethal oratory fumes surely challenged my pulmonary capabilities.
