Bathrooms - always dirty, bar - horrid service, okay food and no liquor. IDs required and that's fine but a retired military ID is legit (retired military IIDs are valid, fix your ID system!) my drivers license expires before my military ID and my military ID got denied..... Wtf people? Season passes - hit or miss if they work. 2 out of the 3 years we've bought our season passes early they haven't worked,, and we had to go to the office to "fix the issue" There's no issue except this company who can't get their process straight. John NEVER had this issue...and I've been coming here since 2011...... Food? Don't get me started on the cafeteria food they serve now... The prior owner, John Grisainger at least had GOOD food, quality food being served. Not this cut rate, previously frozen, cafeteria food that's now "available" here. This place is sad, and I doubt John thought this company would turn this place into what it is now. Who in their right mind thought downgrading everything but upping the costfor everything was a good idea..... Oh, I know.... A corporation that DOESN'T care about its customers, that's who.. We have been skiing at Bryan head for a few years now, but this time I wanted to try snowboarding so I took a lesson it was OK. But the second day I had a free two hour lesson and since I was the only one in the class, it was like a private lesson the instructor, Riz, was excellent. It was far better than day one. I was able to progress in my snowboarding. She took me on the lift and coached me on the way down. We implemented some new techniques. I fell, of course, but I learned a lot later that day it started lightly snowing. I was able to sneak in one last run before the lifts closed. My family has always enjoyed Bryan Head ski resort - this time we also brought my sister-in-law's family and they were beginners and they had a blast! read more

Buy your lift tickets ahead. Snow was a bit hard because so early and so little. Price really went up for saturday, like $40 more so i just sat by the fire pit while daughter used her season pass. The equipment rentals are pretty reasonable if you do not have your own The main lift is pretty speedy, the smaller lift to the shorter (not less steep, just shorter) hill was slower but less crowded and offered you an quicker escape if you needed it . I ended up walking halfway down the paradise run as i got a slight concussion trying to snowboard for the first time at 53. Such a great resort to snowboard or ski. The lift passes and gears are priced so well, it's a must check out venue for the winter sport. I ski this time and the lift passes window was right near the gear rental. The staff was so helpful. I rented all the ski gears but opt out of the helmet. I have to say one of the most comfortable ski boots I have worn. I ski for 3 hours nonstop and my toes and legs were not aching at all. The slopes ride from one side of the mountain to the other side. Runs that are so lengthy to give anyone a great run. I really love Brian Head resort. I cannot wait to be back again read more

When we went to pick up the two day passes we paid for, the ticket attendant switched our days from Sunday-Monday to Monday-Tuesday since we wanted to ski on a less crowded day. The girl who switched the tickets for us on Saturday night promised the tickets would be valid on Monday & Tuesday. However, on Tuesday when we went to ski, our pass was not honored. Jenae refused to make things right and give us the second day that we paid for. I can't say enough negative things about this disgraceful woman. She has absolutely zero customer service skills and ruined our trip. We will not be returning to this resort ever again. We will also be sure to tell our ski club friends not to patronize this place. Went here for the first time to go sledding with the kids. We went to buy tickets and it took us awhile to figure out where to go. Went up to the sledding area and it was a find your own tube and go up the escalator and hope for the best. I had to tell the guy it was my kids first time and they figured it out. They had a great time and it was really organized. I wish they had an indoor area for the parents to hang out in that we could watch the kids too. We were in the forest hiding from the elements because it was so blizzard-y. read more

I booked a beginner snowboard lesson for my two teenage daughters at Brian Head Resort and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed with the experience. The class took place on February 13, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM and was booked online. Two days before the lesson I received a call from a coordinator regarding lift tickets, which I was told would not be necessary because the class would not be using the lifts. I tried calling back several times to clarify, but I was never able to reach a live person or leave a message because the voicemail box was full. On the day of the lesson we arrived about an hour early to understand how everything worked, but we were told we still had to purchase lift tickets. Since it was the same day, we had to pay the full price, which came out to about $250 for both tickets. While the lesson was in progress, I spoke with another instructor who mentioned that we could have purchased "magic carpet" tickets instead, which only cost around $30-$35 per person and are typically used for beginner lessons. When I later tried to request a refund for the lift tickets we didn't actually need, I was told that there were no refunds and that nothing could be done. The following week we returned for another lesson. This time I purchased lift tickets online in advance and exchanged them for season passes. Unfortunately, my older daughter injured her knee shortly afterward and was only able to use the pass for one day. My biggest concern with the entire experience is that we were required to purchase full-price lift tickets even though the class did not use the lifts, and in fact the lifts close at 4:00 PM, right when the lesson ended. I believe this situation could have been handled much more transparently and fairly. read more

Great place to ski, smaller and not overly crowded. I don't ski any more because of my heart condition but I still bring my family here. It would be nice to park close to the lodge so I can have access to my car since it's hard to find a seat to sit around all day. Seems like they don't monitor the handicap parking well and they get upset when you even look for handicap parking. Employees inside the lodge are very nice. I get shortness of breath from walking and carrying anything so being close at least allows me to help carry ski poles or something light and help out. Or even take a nap. It's a long day waiting. Outside of the handicap parking, I would give them 5 stars. Employees are really nice. read more

Brian Head is a great place for beginners: very wide, not too steep, and soft snow to fall on (given snowy weather). Don't be intimidated by a long line at the Navajo Express because this lift leads to 4+ more trails that lead to other trails, so the trails are all quite empty (and wide)! @New Riders: After you learn how to hit your brakes and change direction (well enough), I recommend new riders to go on "The Split" trail (a branch from the Paradise trail on the left) via the Navajo Express! This trail is super wide and not too flat (like the Bunny), so you'll learn how to control yourself a lot faster! You need momentum to ride; it's difficult learning and no fun being stuck on a flat area. @Intermediate+: There's a LOT of flat areas and NO park (ramps, jumps, etc) set ups, so this wouldn't be my first choice. This is definitely more of a family trip vibe than a skills trip, but it's still fun experience riding on such powdery snow and having so much free space! read more

We had a Spring Break getaway to Zion National Park, and decided to spend one day to road trip out to Brian Head Ski Resort to do some snowboarding/skiing with my family. I set up for afternoon group instruction for me and my wife. It was perfect timing as the snow turned the resort into a powdery wonderland. The staff was amazing and the check in process was a breeze. We were able to make it up the mountain in a rented Tesla Model Y despite the steep incline with the heavy snow. We were there 3/18 and the crowd wasn't bad at all - in fact our group lesson ended up being one on one with our instructors. I spend the afternoon with Kevin Gonzalez. He was very kind and informative, and gave me great tips on snowboarding on powder as well as helping me fine tune my skills. The progression of the instruction was just right, and we had a lot of fun on the slopes. He helped us catch the shuttle to avoid getting stranded near closing time, and hooked us up with hot chocolate that was complimentary with the shuttle service. We wished we had more time with the slopes and will definitely be back again. My wife had Jay and told me he was wonderful as well, and she had developed better confidence on her skis after that afternoon. Well done and thanks for the wonderful memories! read more

Brian Head is a nice family resort in Southern Utah. It's about 2.5 hours past Vegas, so not as far as SLC. Compared to Mammoth, the drive is about an hour or so further but it's almost completely freeway, vs. highway 395. On a holiday week, the lines were very short. The longest we waited was no more than 10 minutes. The service was fine and staff was friendly. Compared to the large resorts, it's considerably less expensive and less crowded. But the mountain is fairly small. With a high base of ~9,500 ft and a peak of 11,000 ft, the elevation drop is modest. It's about a mile from top to bottom. There isn't much variety. So it's probably not ideal for advanced skiers. The resort is geared towards beginner to intermediate and families looking for a nice experience without breaking the bank. Overall I enjoyed Brian Head for a relaxing time although I did wish there was more challenging terrain to conquer. read more

I was hoping that I was going to be able to write a great review after my weeklong trip with my family. But one person really put a damper on our trip. That person is the female supervisor at the Navajo Ticket center. We arrived on 2/3 at around 3pm. I went to the ticket booth to check in early for my children's private lessons the following day. We were also going to try to get our rental gear. I was doing this in an effort to ensure my two children (4 & 6) were ready and not rushed the next day's lesson. The ticket attendant was very nice and printed out our tickets for the next day. Tickets included 2 private lessons, ski equipment rental and 2 adult lift tickets. Total value of approximately $850. That night my asthmatic son got very sick. He was short of breath all night and required multiple breathing treatments. I attempted to use the website to reschedule or cancel the lessons and lift tickets. But since the lift passes and tickets were already given to me. I was not able to change any reservations on line. The next day I went to Navajo ticket center to try to reschedule the lessons. (Preferred both kids to take lessons together). I spoke to an agent and explained my unique situation. The nice man referred me to his supervisor. I spoke with the supervisor. I explained to her the whole situation and asked for help. She was very dismissive and hardly listened to my story. She had zero empathy and quickly cited that same day tickets are non refundable and non transferable. I asked to reschedule my son for another day. Again she cited same day tickets are non refundable and non transferable. I asked if I could reschedule my daughter's lesson for the afternoon session, since we were now 10 minutes from start time and she was in her pajamas at our condo. Again she cited same day tickets are non refundable and non transferable. I was very disappointed with her customer service and inability to help me in this unfortunate situation. I understand that it clearly states that same day tickets are non refundable and non transferable on the tickets. But my tickets were not same day. I got them the day before (2/3). And I only did that because it was suggested in order to make the next days experience more smooth. My advice...never get your passes issued ahead of time! I would like to return next year but my experience with the Navajo Ticket Center supervisor really soured my Brian Head experience. While it is policy that once it is day of and tickets are printed they are non refundable and non transferable we also try to be understanding of last minute illness/emergency situations that present themselves. Here for presidents day weekend with the kids and couldn't have had a better time. Prices are ridiculously reasonable and the staff are amazing. Every single person we interacted with from the rental counter to the ski lessons to the lift lines was friendly and helpful. Great attitudes and lots of patience, which was desperately needed as the slopes were full of newbies on the long weekend. Special shout out to the ski school - my kids started at zero and by the end of the weekend my ten year old was going down blues with me. Their instructor was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. No, this is not the place for you if you want to shred double black diamonds or rub elbows with celebs at après-ski, but if you are in socal and thinking about whether it's worth the drive to come here, it is no contest. It's neither the biggest hill nor the most technically challenging one, but it's far enough away from the great skiing around SLC that it doesn't get the enormous crowds. I'm in love with Brian Head, change my mind if you can! As a beginner snowboarder, I've always had trouble on nearby mountains. Riding at Brian Head as been a godsend location for me to learn and feel more confident. The mountains and scenery are beautiful, and there is so much room for everyone, and not to mention real snow!! (I'm from SoCal/Vegas, don't judge haha). The staff has always been SO nice, they all deserve raises. From the ticket booth counter, the woman was so nice and accommodating for me and my bf. I don't remember her name, but I will add it once I remember! We had an personal incident and she was able to help us out with our situation and made our stay at Brian Head much more stress free at the time! Mountain staff are super patient and nice as well! As a beginner, I struggle with the chair lift (still do), and they've always been attentive and know I fall off every time haha, without me saying anything, they slow it down for me since I'm so slow and wobbly. I haven't tried paying for lessons here yet, but even the instructors who are teaching others have stopped to give me tips when they saw me struggling! Drove in from Vegas for a weekend in Utah and of course, I had to hit the slopes! The process to finding the spot was easy, I was led by GPS to the Navajo Express area which is neat and taken care of. I showed up quite late as I forgot there's an hour change between Nevada and Utah, so got there by 1pm! Brian Head snow is just difference. I grew up in Hawaii and lived in Southern California for over 10 years, so this was my very first time seeing falling snow. It snowed 16 inches overnight on the day we arrived. The next two days were pristine snow conditions along with sunny skies. I loved that my first ski trip had amazing snow and was so memorable with all the friends that my husband and I went with. We skied for two days in a row, and both days we took lessons in the morning. The check in process was simple if you arrive early to give yourself time to get your rentals and gear. Daryl and CW were our instructors, and they were both phenomenal and made us feel comfortable and confident for first-time skiers. By the end of the second day we were regularly going down the Najavo and Paradise hills with our friends who had been snowboarding for years. They all said we're good to go! I've found a new winter hobby and I will make sure I keep working out to be able to do trips like these in the future. Brian Head is just a 3.5 hour drive from Vegas, so the location is ideal for the best snow conditions without having to travel too far. read more

The new management is horrible and is price gouging. Cost us nearly $500 for our child to have lessons. When booking they didn't mention that you had to also buy a lift ticket. So we paid $270 for lessons and then were charged an extra $200 for lift ticket, which was never mentioned when we originally booked. They wouldn't honor the lift ticket price from when we booked lessons. Horrible customer service and was treated very poorly. So unorganized. Use to love this place but will not be back. Best of the best if you're living in Las Vegas! Drive is only 3 hours away and its well worth it. The small town and shops around the resort is convenient. If you rent a cabin you're bound to be close to the lifts. Excellent service by the employees. Jacoby was is my guy to do any maintenance on your gear. We have been going to this resort for a decade and they continue to not disappoint. Parking is literally a walk away to the lift and the lodge. 10/10 on all aspects! read more

First time to Brian Head. Snowboarding was fun and crowd was nonexistent. Downside . . . ate lunch at the Giantsteps cafe and got aggressively ill immediately thereafter. Had a burger and started feeling suspect about 20 minutes in. About 2 hours later threw up the whole thing and was on my back for 12 hours. My friend I was traveling with had chicken tenders in Cafe two days earlier with same result. I couldn't imagine she got sick from the food which is why I ate there. It was the food. They need to do a heavy eval of their sanitation routine. Do NOT eat the food in the meantime. read more

Came here at the end of March on a Friday to snowboard and was not let down. We came on a day where it was actively snowing, so visibility wasn't the best, but they did do their best to plow the streets to allow cars to access the roads. The lift tickets here are less expensive than Mammoth or Tahoe and (I can't attest to it since I haven't boarded at either) according to my boyfriend, the boarding/powder is way better here. It was a great place for beginner snowboarders (it was my friend's first time) as the powder helped cushion your fall AND the slope when getting off the lift was extremely mild. I remember getting off lifts at other places and being terrified because it was so steep. The slopes are clearly marked multiple times throughout the route so you don't accidentally end up on a Black Diamond. If you like weaving in between trees, there's plenty of opportunity for that here as well. All of the lifts were open when we went and it wasn't too crowded or tough to get on one. I only ever waited in line for up to a max of maybe a few minutes? I got to Brianhead at 10:30am and they weren't actively scanning lift tickets at the time, but when it got a bit busier in the afternoon, they started requiring the scan. No issue on my end, it was pretty smooth and quick all around. The reason why I docked a star was because of their lack of COVID safety in the rentals area. It's a pretty tight space indoors and they weren't doing a great job of regulating traffic. The staff manning the rentals were not wearing their masks properly (it wasn't covering their mouth or noses). When the lifts closed, a ton of people piled back into the building to return their rentals with little traffic control. read more

Not the best experience but planning on my part could have maybe saved the pocket book a bit more. We came here on a Wednesday morning and there was barely Anyone there! We parked 100 ft from the lift :0 The drive up the mountain gets narrow and if there is ice on the ground there will be some difficult turns to make. I'd recommend 4x4 and possibly chains if snowing. The mountains have some pretty good and chill runs... Nothing really over 30 minute rides though. FYI 2 hour ski lessons were almost $300 ....hahahaha... Good luck with that if you're a beginner. I think they have their own page so I'll separate the review but if you need ski/snowboarding equipment go to Georg's. That beautiful family that owns that shop gave me a ride when the shuttle never showed up and let me sit inside their shop when it was -22°F. They actually had nice stuff in their shop better than the store at Navajo. Georg's is a 5 minute drive down the mountain past Navajo or you can take the Navajo lift up and snowboard there (: if you know what you're doing you can get there in 10 minutes after the lift ride. Reviewing from the standpoint of a Vegas Newb snowboarder who finally has his own gear this season. Service: Friendly staff in the ticket office, pro-shop and food areas. The crew working the ski lifts were efficient with getting everyone on quickly Slopes: The high base elevation provides some really good powder. The Giant Steps slopes is wide with plenty of options to get down the hill. The crowds are generally significantly less than our other options out of Vegas. (Mammoth and Big Bear) which makes it less intimidating for me. Less traffic + Soft Powder to fall on + wide slopes = great slopes to spend a day on. My first visit here I got hit pretty bad with elevation sickness: Dizziness, hangover, nausea, more or less a bad hangover. I stayed hydrated throughout this visit and all went well. A short 3 hour drive out of Vegas gets me a great snowboard experience over a regular weekend. There's not much really to do in Brian Head except Board and Ski. If that's all your planning to do, Brian Head offers the best value in terms of distance, slopes and pricing. See you on the slopes! =) read more

Brian Head is a good ski resort for beginners. They offer tons of small runs which are pretty good. They also have tons of space in the Navajo section of he resort. Tons of space for beginners. The only drawbacks is that the person who was servicing us in the front gave us tickets for the next day. This was extremely frustrating because we had limited time.
