Pricing was very reasonable. Scheduling was easy - Adam came out to do our measurements on a Saturday which helped accommodate my work schedule. I had given him a general idea over the phone of what I was looking for and he brought many samples for me to choose from. He offered recommendations based on durable and ease to clean along with maintenance and warranty information (having a Golden Retriever and wanting light colored carpet, I wanted to make sure we were covered and the carpet cleaned up well!) We ultimately decided to go with the higher priced per square foot carpet which was still less then the other estimate we received from another company! The carpet installers were friendly, professional, did a perfect job - I honestly am not even sure they stopped for a break! They removed our old carpet, moved our larger pieces of furniture and cleanup everything before they left. Would recommend A&E to anyone I know who is looking for flooring. We were told that we would be notified two weeks before start date. Mid Sept we had no word so I reached out. I was told that the work would have to be pushed back due to Hurricane Ida. Fine, We can be understanding. Now October comes around and again, no contact. I contact the company and they tell me once again, that someone would reach out to us within two weeks to start. Nothing. Now November comes and we grow impatient. There was Zero communication from anyone there. Finally they notify us on a Monday that project will begin on Wednesday. That's 2 DAYS notice. We had no time to find coverage for work. We had to take 3 days off of work, last minute, because they were entering our home. Work was completed in 3 days but failed inspection. The office manager blamed it on a "New Inspector". Okay we had to take an additional 2 days off of work for the inspection and re-inspection. The last straw was when checking the newly installed sump pump, the pipes we not connected. What kind of waterproofing company fails at connecting sump pump pipes?!!! This time, the manager blamed it on the glue. I have never in my life, regretted such a horrible decision than to hire this company. No communication, zero empathy for the hell we had to endure and took no responsibility for their wrongdoing.

I hired Ray Ross Plumbing to replace a simple tub/shower valve and spout, and they turned a working…read morebathroom into a nonstop headache. Initially I needed to fix a very stiff bathtub handle. There was no leak at all before their work. Immediately afterward, the new spout started dripping every 3 minutes, and the hot and cold handles stopped working independently--turning the hot off would also kill the cold, which is completely wrong for a two‑handle tub. I contacted them repeatedly. They came back twice. The first time they flushed it and said there was debris in the O ring and it 100% fixed. It was not. I had to wait another week to have them come back they swapped out the cartridges, but the problems never went away. I had to document everything on video, time the drips myself, and basically do the diagnostic work they should have done. Another contractor has since told me it's very likely they overheated and damaged the new valve during installation (for example, soldering with rubber parts still inside), which would explain the drip and the crossover. In other words, their work likely ruined the brand‑new valve they installed. Despite multiple chances, they have not fixed what they broke, and I've now had to shut off water to the tub and pay a different plumber nearly $1,000 to rip out and replace the whole valve and spout just to get back to a functioning bathroom. I would never recommend this company--if anything goes wrong with their work, be prepared to fight to be heard, do your own documentation, and hire someone else to clean up the mess.
