I'm a frequent customer of Berries Açaí and I always go to the Topanga location, which I absolutely love. Their bowls are amazing, and the service there is always great. Today, I drove all the way from my college to the Northridge spot just to get one, and when I arrived, there was no one at the front. No sign, no "back soon," no indication that anyone was working or that the place was closed. I waited and even took photos and videos because it was unbelievable how unprofessional it felt. As someone who regularly supports this brand, this experience was really disappointing. If you plan to visit this location, be aware that there might be no staff around or no communication at all. I truly hope management steps in to make the Northridge location as reliable and welcoming as the Topanga one. read more

Every time I've ordered an açaí bowl here, the service from the ladies have been excellent, the quality is consistent, and it gets made within a timely manner. I recommend splitting the bowl to be half coconut and half açaí, with strawberries and mangoes, condensed milk drizzled on top, plus chocolate chips or paçoca. The layers are always stacked to the top, and the flavors burst in your mouth! Since Bearies is in the middle of the mall, in between several stores it's never more than a 5 minute wait. There is limited seating around while you wait for yours to be made. The ladies work fast and they'll always ask if you if you want a top for your bowl, super helpful if you don't finish it all! But I doubt it. You will most definitely eat it all in one sitting. read more

I've tried over 20 different acai places across California, and Bearies acai is and will always be the top standard for me. No other acai I've tried has ever topped Bearies'. So for their food, I would give 5 stars and more if I could. However, the workers here are always on their phones and are so monotone and slightly rude. It just makes me feel very unwelcome and I'd imagine that's how others feel as well. Bearies needs to do a more thorough interview process for hiring! read more

This place is phenomenal in every way. They have excellent bowls, fresh ingredients and amazing customer service. I am apart of a group who do a craft markets at the Northridge mall, we have a booth just above this location and can literally see right down into it. The employees are ALWAYS doing something. They're always cleaning, washing fruit, taking orders, cleaning again. If I was the owner I'd be extremely proud of both the training of these employees and also the ability to hire excellent people. I usually do weekend errands at the mall and getting a bowl here is one of my weekly treats (no shame in that!). They have a very convenient app where you can order ahead and use rewards to get free bowls. I usually order a 16 or 24oz half and half bowl with the acai and coconut base, fruits, and honey drizzle. Hi, I ordered açaí bowl today and got chia seed as my topping and what I notice chia seeds were served dried. I just want to let you know that it's not safe to serve dry chia seeds. they can expand and cause a blockage in our esophagus or digestive tract. But tastes good overall and fresh.
