They sold the flooring business, which now uses the name. The carpet I turned over to them was very expensive and had dog vomit. They did not spot treat it, but cleaned the whole thing in a way that faded the colors and only set in the pet vomit. Gave it back to me without showing me results. I got it home and saw the spots, called them immediately. I left a message on their voice mail (4pm) about the issue. It has been two days and no return call. I did find the people at the real McGrews carpet cleaning, who are in my house right now working to remove the stain. Yes - they came to our house. If you need your carpet cleaned, find the family that ran McGrew's carpet cleaning. Do not use this company which is trying to borrow off the McGrew name.

Avoid at all costs. We had them remove linoleum in our kitchen (at least that's what they billed…read moreand we paid for. Found out after a water loss that additional damage resulted from them not removing the linoleum and just placing the laminate flooring over it. Yet they got paid and we didn't find out until it had to be pulled up. Shady. They don't stand behind their warranty either. The flooring installation in the upstairs bathroom was installed incorrectly and they didn't clean the debris from before installing. We tried to get them to fix under warranty and they claim we need to pay for their installer to come out and if he agrees it was the installer fault they'll reimburse us. This isn't how a reputable business should operate. If you're going to hire them you better watch them the entire time or they will cut corners. Spending time in small claims court wasn't how I wanted to resolve this, but since they won't do the right thing we'll have to see if a Judge agrees with us.

I've had my walls painted in the den, living room, hallway, and entry hall. the painter also painted my cabinets on site, and did an amazing job. He indicated he didn't know what type paint the contractor used, because it wasn't oil based because when he sanded it, it had a powdery feel to it, oil base wouldn't do that. He also stated if I hadn't painted my cabinets, I wouldn't be able to wash them. They were not smooth,and had a dull finish with powdery substance on it. On a second note, he stated that the contractor did a great job with backsplash, Mosaic, flooring, building cabinets, and did a good job painting walls and ceilings, and didnt need a redo, and I agree. I paid the contractor $1350 for the painting of the rooms, and $2500 for the painting of the cabinets. Once again it is sad that the contractor cannot contact me concerning these issues or take responsibility. But if he can live with it so can I.

We had Old Cypress come out last December to replace our worn carpet with LVP flooring. They really…read moreeducated me in quoting process on how some companies charge extra for each door opening they have to cut around. His quote included the full job and was competitive. They did an amazing job and were done quickly just in time for Christmas. The house was left in very clean condition which is a plus as some contractors leave a lot of debris and dust. He was even able to haul away our old carpet for additional fee which saved us much needed stress at the holidays. I plan to use again on a wood floor repair this spring.
