Ray's Flooring gave me a great price for 1700 ft2, and 26 stairs. I didn't want to have to do anything because of work and my wife being pregnant so I coordinated a delivery through them where they brought all 6000 lbs. into my home, they removed all 1700 ft2 of laminate, padding, and tile from the bathrooms, and carpet on the stairs. We loved the home from the moment we walked in, it just needed some updates to really make it ours. We had an under slab water leak around September 2024, and it was a frustrating experiencing…read morefinding plumbing, tile, and drywall/painting contractors who could deal with all of our problems to get everything fixed. It took 3 plumbing contractors before a company could even find exactly where the leak was under the slab; the first two contractors said "around here", but could not "promise" that they wouldn't have to chase a leak; if they were wrong. After we found the exact location, we had to find a contractor who could cut into the slab, repair the copper water line, prepare the slab for re-tiling, tiling options, and repair the drywall hole - and paint. That's where Vanessa of Evangeline Construction came into the picture. She did a great job assessing what was needed - and arranged the work in a timely manner. The plumber (and concrete worker) did a great job repairing the water line and prepping area for re-tiling. Their tiler's did a great job harvesting the same tile from a different part of the house - to fix the repair area, and installed new tile for the front entryway. Avoid at all costs. We had them remove linoleum in our kitchen (at least that's what they billed…read moreand we paid for. Found out after a water loss that additional damage resulted from them not removing the linoleum and just placing the laminate flooring over it. Yet they got paid and we didn't find out until it had to be pulled up. Shady. They don't stand behind their warranty either. The flooring installation in the upstairs bathroom was installed incorrectly and they didn't clean the debris from before installing. We tried to get them to fix under warranty and they claim we need to pay for their installer to come out and if he agrees it was the installer fault they'll reimburse us. This isn't how a reputable business should operate. If you're going to hire them you better watch them the entire time or they will cut corners. Spending time in small claims court wasn't how I wanted to resolve this, but since they won't do the right thing we'll have to see if a Judge agrees with us.

We decided to take the plunge after a consultation with Grant Cooper of Signature Hardwood He guided and directed us from start to finish. One week was all it took. He did an outstanding job. Our carpets upstairs were nasty and had been in the house since it was built. They needed replaced badly. We decided to go the hardwood route upon hearing how easy he makes the process. He gives you a time line along with names from trusted sources who will move furniture and replace it once the work is complete. He also meticulously matched the bottom floors with the new ones on the top floor. He did the closets also. If you are unsure or hesitant on what you want he will guide you. He makes the process almost seem less. Go for it
