This company is the absolute worst I've ever worked with when it comes to small projects and the lack of quality in every single aspect of their approach. I could literally write a book with the number of problems we had with Beattie Decelopment. We signed up do have custom outdoor kitchen built in our lanai area and paid a good chunk of money for the the project and expected that they would do a professional and detail oriented job. But what we didn't sign up for was nothing but problem after problem and constantly having to chase them up and follow up on things to try and get it fixed or done correctly... the build should've taken no more than 4-6 weeks. It ended up dragging out over an entire year!!! And then an entire year more with follow ups dealing with minor and major problems. We paid extra money to have them do a waterfall edge for our countertops and the quality of craftsmanship was second rate to say the least. The cut was horrible and they used cheap epoxy resin to fill in all the holes and made a huge mess of the join (which is supposed to be a nice clean barely noticeable thin line)... ours is the complete opposite... to make matters worse, they came out multiple times to "fix it"... and they kept on making it even worse. We asked if someone else could do the work, but the only guy they have for countertops was completely incompetent. There was one time when he came out to "fix it" and I caught him trying to use a spray can of white paint to cover it up... I couldn't believe my eyes... I had him wipe it off immediately as it looked absolutely ridiculous. But the audacity that they would try and pull such a stunt as to spray paint our expensive marble countertops to try and hide the poor work that was done... It has gotten to a point now, where they have brushed their hands and walked away. They blocked my phone number and are no longer responding to any emails. I was lied to about coming to a resolution. It seems to me as though Paul must be hurting for cash or things are not going well. Because there's no way a reputable and successful company with millions of dollars of projects would treat a customer in this way over a $10k-$15k countertop repair... The pics below are the final product of their efforts at "fixing" the waterfall edge... i might post some more pics later when I get a chance to show how badly it was done prior to this poor attempt at "fixing" it... But without going into more detail, there were many other aspects of the project that were a complete nightmare and took a lot of my time and energy to keep on them to get things done to a barely acceptable standard. They literally tried to cut corners and make excuses every step of the way and point fingers and blame someone or something else as to why things were moving so slowly and why things were not done correctly or done well.... There's plenty of other reputable builders and contractors out there. Definitely look elsewhere if you want to save yourself some major headaches down the road... read more

I strongly caution when considering this builder. After a year under contract, we discovered they had failed to obtain the necessary permits - and lied to us along the entire way - telling us permits were all in motion. Mind you, this is only one of the issues that transpired. Unfortunately, their business practices and trustworthiness have been deeply disappointing. Despite breaching the contract, they have refused to return my deposit of $7500. Which I was told was used for permitting, but only $233 was spent on the permits. I would recommend against engaging with them, particularly if you are dealing from out-of-state. While I consider myself a patient and composed individual, my experience with Beattie's business operations has been less than satisfactory. Their approach not only raises questions but also gives an impression of deception. While I recognize Beattie Development's accolades and reputation in Southwest Florida, my personal experience has been quite different. A company's reputation should be built on the consistent satisfaction of all its clients, not just a select majority. My situation is a testament that there are instances where Beattie Development has fallen short of their high standards. The challenges you've mentioned like supply chain disruption due to hurricanes and issues with buyer financing are indeed real and can impact a project's timeline. However, these factors should not excuse the breach of our contract, which resulted in a significant financial loss for me. My Google review may indeed be one-sided, but it is an honest account of my experience. Consumers deserve to hear all sides, including those rare negative experiences, to make an informed decision. It's not about disparaging your business; it's about bringing to light a situation that was handled poorly from my perspective. Your growth over the past 14 years is commendable, but growth should not come at the expense of any customer, as has been my case. Every customer's experience counts, and each one contributes to the overall reputation of a business. I hope that future customers will take my experience into account when considering Beattie Development. It's essential to be aware not only of a company's successes but also how they handle situations when things don't go according to plan. Finally able to redo my kitchen and bath, and so glad the other contractors I contacted didn't want to handle my small project, first contact Ken at Beattie Development said that they'd treat my project like any of their large ones - and they sure did. With colors and an idea in mind, I put together a composite of base and upper cabinets, pulls and faucets and sent them to Dalton, along with the 'old' existing kitchen and bath photos. He pulled some samples for me that were just right, including a gorgeous glass accent tile for the bathroom. (The black bathroom faucets are on back order, not a surprise and I'll wait patiently.) From demo to completion, the men were professional, polite and there was great teamwork. Even the younger guys knew stuff, but the experienced ones taught the newer ones things, and that was good to see. Project manager Scott was fantastic, as was his assistant Dylan. The electrician, plumber and painters did their parts well and went over and above on a couple of things. The tilers were incredible, they did a fabulous job in both the kitchen and bathroom. Everyone's measurements were extremely precise, and they matched the existing cabinet footprint exactly. It was a wonderful experience and I couldn't be more happy with the result, it's absolutely beautiful! Thanks to everyone on the Beattie team who made my dream a reality. In the contract they signed it says they promise to not speak ill of him or his company, why because he knew he would screw then over eventually. He owes his house keeper for his model homes over $65,000 dollars and is refusing to pay her. He's in the process of using the inflation amounts he charged people to open a new business.. he was also just caught by his wife having an affa With an office assistant. All while claiming to be a Christian man. Well I don't have a contract with him and freedom of speech is a thing in America and the truth is here. They responded to my questions and concerns and provided me with many different options and selections.
