HORRIBLE on just about every level. I've come here often because I live less than a mile away. I've…read morebeen coming since it opened and the care level has steadily gone down. But today took the cake!!! I came in with a suspected UTI. Which I get often because I have MS, so I know the drill and I know my body. From the moment I walked in I regretted not going to Henry Ford where my Urologist works. The people at the front desk acted like interrupted them, but the check in person was actually not as bad as the others. From there, I asked if I could go to the bathroom because I had to go right then and I wanted to make sure I could give a sample. I went in and asked the desk person where the cups were. She said they were in a clear plastic drawer, I opened the drawer, and there was not one in there. Not entirely surprising since it was clear that no one checked the bathroom recently because it was definitely not clean. Probably the most disgusting bathroom I've ever been to in a medical facility. They took my vitals, but did not tell me what they were like most offices do. Then, the physician came in and asked a bunch of questions, one of which was, am I on any medications. With MS I'm on quite a few and it's easier for everyone to just look in my chart. She clearly hadn't looked at my chart period and I was the only one there. I told her there were a lot and it was in my chart, she seemed annoyed and gave me some spiel about coming straight in from the previous client. Well that was unfortunate because she didn't wash her hands So still without looking at my chart, she says well , your urine is clear. Did you drink a lot of water? OK I have a UTI, of course I drank a lot of water. She says well that could be why it's not showing up and I said yes it probably is. Long story short I told her my medical history with UTIs and she totally dismissed. me. Wanted to give me a prescription that I told her I already take prophylactically. I told her they usually give me something else. She refused to give me anything else and said I had to wait for the culture. Just sent me home with nothing for pain, no antibiotic and told me that she'll be here all week and give her a call to see if the culture was back. Worst experience ever in an Urgent Care. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Thank God I have great Dr. that I can call Monday morning or I would be suffering from this for days! What a waste of time. I was reluctant to come here anyway because there's no physicians, and she seemed inexperienced and unsure! Beware of this urgent care and next time I'll just wait for my dr office to open. I'm so perturbed!

I have been very wary of the medical profession for a very long time. As individual people, doctors…read moreare fine, but I've had quite a few problems with doctors AS doctors -- including when I worked in an OB/GYN office. I've found them to be arrogant, to make me feel judged, and some have just not known what they were doing. Because of this, I have avoided going to doctors for years, going only to urgent care when absolutely necessary. But, I needed a prescription refill and there was not another way for me to get it, other than to go to a regular medical doctor. Dr. Lerner is the doctor my sister and nephew go to, and I've always preferred going to "known" entities. So, I sucked up my courage and made an appointment. The first thing I liked it is that she is a D.O. To me, that means that she cares about the "whole" person and not just specialization. The second thing is that hers is a family practice; I rather loved that the first thing I saw when I walked into her office was a teddy bear. I've always felt I'd do better if, even at my age, I could go to a pediatrician because they understand the fear and apprehension. I also liked that, with the sole exception of Dr. Lerner, nobody wore a white coat. And, the office did not have that antiseptic smell that so many offices have. Contrary to what others here have said, I did not find her staff to be difficult. Everyone was very friendly, quick to make a joke and (try to) put me at ease. Dr. Lerner herself is very personable. She has a wonderful manner and put me at as much ease as I could be in that situation. I noticed and liked that, contrary to most doctors, she did not stand over me while talking, but rather, took a chair that was actually lower than where I was sitting. For those who know about psychology, that speaks VOLUMES about how she views her patients. After my initial appointment a month ago, I had to go back for a consultation. Except for being weighed (which I HATE!), it was *almost* a pleasant experience; while explaining what the situation was, Dr. Lerner was very conversational. She smiled, seemed to be of good humor and was genuinely interested. I left the office thinking that she's actually very sweet, and that if she weren't my doctor and we'd met in a different place, we could be friends.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly COVID check-in team who quickly got us through that process and up to the floor where we needed to be. From there, another quick and efficient check-in process and after just a short wait (less than 5 minutes), they came to get my husband. They politely let me know how long I should expect to be there and that there was a snack shop on the second floor I could visit. Exactly at the time they indicated previously, they called me back to sit with my husband while he was in a short recovery phase. The nurse who helped us was SO friendly, answered all of our questions and let us know next steps, etc. Dr. Yudovich came in to talk with both of us as well and left us with no questions or concerns. My only suggestion would be they should let endoscopy patients know they'll be out of work and no driving for the entire day (we didn't know that and my husband told his boss it'd only be a couple of hours). But that could have just been a forgotten step in the scheduling process and was not a big deal for us. After a horrendous experience at Ascension Novi last week, I was so wonderfully pleased with every single staff person here at this Henry Ford Columbus Center.

This is specifically for the Henry Ford Sleep Center at this location. I had multiple problems…read morethere and will never return. A home study found nothing wrong with my sleep, so they had me do an overnight sleep study. They diagnosed me with sleep apnea and handed me a APAP and sent me home. I was surprised since I don't snore, but was glad for anything that would help me sleep better. Sadly, it didn't. They said to give it time. After 9 months I contacted them again to ask for a follow up to see why I wasn't sleeping any better and was angrily scolded over the phone and told they were going to write me up for non-compliance even though I'd been using it for 9 months. After that, figuring there was nothing that could be done, so I gave up. Three years later I decided to give the APAP another try and researched CPAPs on-line. I discovered they had set my APAP at the lowest setting of 5 CPAP and never adjusted my settings again like they were suppose to. I contacted them hoping they would adjust the settings to work better. It required contacting them multiple times before they finally agreed to do an overnight sleep titration study. The next problem was the mattress they assigned me was absolutely terrible. It was worn and dipped in the center really badly and I had the worst sleep of the year that night. After that titration study they said to bring the APAP in for a setting change because they wanted to change it from 5 to 5. I'm still not sleeping great, but I fully understand that there will be zero help from this sleep center.
