I went there a few times. I had several hundred dollars of tests done in a private lab that they recommended. The doctor didn't ever review the results. I thought, no call is a good call. When I asked a year later what the results were and if there were impacting me, the doctor said, "what tests". I had been suffering with serious pain. They diagnosed it as IBS. FAST FORWARD I have gallstones. Maybe it wasn't the same but I feel as if due diligence had been done then I may have had more info on my health. read more

If I could give a Golden Star to this Doctor I would! There is a reason he is recognized consistently in Detroit! Dr. Thomas is shaking the healthcare industry to its core! Going back to what it's really about "US" the patients! Providing affordable, attainable, convenient and caring health care to those who I call "in-betweeners" the people that make too much for assistance and not enough to make ends meat! The wonderful service he offers is called Direct Primary Care! Cutting out the middle man (insurance) and working directly with the patient for a "retainer fee". Although, he isn't the only DPC physician in Metro Detroit he is the only one that took time for me personally when I called around for care! My place of employment does not offer health benefits and I typically loathe the ER because of the long wait times and ridiculously priced care! Even at other family practices when you call and say you're self pay the fees for the office visit plus meds they give you to fill at a pharmacy are pretty high! The most amazing thing about Dr. Thomas is that he puts healthcare before the dollar! Plum Health offers the same services a traditional family practice offers! From sick visits to preventatives! With a direct communication with Dr. Thomas I am able to speak open and freely regarding any ailments I may be encountering! Dr. Thomas is accessible via phone, email, and even text (YES TEXT)! All of my prescriptions are filled at cost no up charge what so ever, crazy right? I thought so too until I had to go to the ER for a shot of Toradol for a migraine that was so severe I was physically sick. When the bill came I was even more sick I was charged over $110 for the same shot Dr. Thomas can administer right in his office for less than $5! I'm not making this up! I often ask myself how he makes a living offering such services and it makes me so appreciative of the level of compassion Dr. Thomas has for his patients! If your employer doesn't offer health benefits he can also set up a corporate account! I went to my employer and asked that they share in a percentage of the membership fee with me and they agreed, Dr. Thomas made this available and easy to do. I pay for my prescriptions and my employer gets billed for membership! It's a win win for us both! After all we all work to live and live to work and you know we can't really give 100% at work when we are sick! If you're on the hunt for a one on one relationship with a caring doctor without the ridiculous fees that go along with having one do yourself a favor and sign up with Plum Health! Can't say enough great things about Dr. Leslie Rabaut! She answered all my questions thoroughly, and I really feel like she personally cared about my wellbeing. I've had experiences at other clinics in the past where the doctors are so busy, you feel like you're just a number or a chore to get through. This was 100% not the case with Dr. Rabaut. I've been a patient at Plum Health more or less since the beginning-- decided to keep it whether I had or didn't have decent health insurance through work or whatever. The model is affordable ($600 per year, compared to $2800-3500 per year for insurance that I never use), and it also allows me to get affordable, basic medications and testing, if needed, with a super fast turnaround (2-4 days from scheduling appointment to getting lab results, or 1-2 days to get basic prescription medicines). I actually did not find Plum Health myself, I am easily overwhelmed, and honestly simply HATE going to the doctor's office. However, my mother-in-law and wife urged me to find a doctor to check some personal matters out. In doing so, they found Dr. Thomas and Dr. Olrich. I was able to get in contact with the office the same day and schedule an appointment for later that week that worked around my work schedule. I was not looking forward to the visit, however, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Olrich, along with the other great staff, took GREAT care of me and created a welcoming, caring, and nurturing environment. I felt so COMFORTABLE and they had no issues with me asking a million questions! Best experience of my life and I will NEVER stop attending Plum Health!
