Im an adult student learning to sing and Deon has been such a fun and helpful instructor. I really like his approach to expressing yourself through music and learning to overcome the "awkwardness". Let me start off with,this was a really great experience and I am looking forward to the future music lessons we set up. My husband and I were in the market for a cello yesterday and they had a selection to listen to and choose from. Jack was really friendly and helped answer all the questions we had. The purchase went smoothly and he helped us with the tuning before we left.I was excited to start learning to play with my daughter when I arrived home, now that I have a cello. Unfortunately however, things did not go as planned, since I broke her A string while trying to tune her cello. Yeah, I never tuned a cello before so I should have expected that. So I had to wait until today to return to the shop. When we arrived Jack and Andrea welcomed us and helped us replace and retune the other cello. Thanks again! Awesome, friendly staff. Jack is very welcoming and nice. My 3 kids took piano lessons. Steven taught my 9yr old. She has never had any kind of music lessons before and she learned to read music and play thanks to Steven. He's really nice and made the lessons fun with his high energy. Caitlin taught our 5yr old twins with both kids in the same lesson. She was very patient and sweet with them. She would praise them often during their lessons which would give them confidence. She is great with young children. During every lesson, while sitting in the waiting area, you can hear the other lessons going on and you can very clearly hear the interactions between the teacher and student. I've heard nothing but good things from every teacher in those rooms. You hear solid instruction, encouragement and even laughter. We'll be back soon! read more

I love the family that runs this place, Andrea and Jack. They are in tune with their students and have amazing teachers. I take singing lessons with with Dion who has helped me get past internal blocks with singing as well as leaning the art of singing, my 5 year old daughter takes piano with Abi who is so patient and great with children, and my son takes guitar lessons with Sebastian, he has been really working well with my 9 year old son. There is a reason this buisness gets a high rating here. Jack is helpful personable and reliable. I took my Godin multiac in for repair a few weeks ago. I knew what needed to be done. I was quoted a fair estimate and a reasonable time to repair. These guitars are different and made in Canada, I didnt want to have to ship it back there for what I knew was a simple repair. We have been bringing our boys here for drum lessons and guitar lessons for about 6 months now. Everyone who works here are very kind and professional. Lilly has taught our 12 year so much on the guitar. And our 6 year old is being taught by Eric who has been very patient and works with him at his own pace. Honestly got a racist vibe here. Came in on a Tuesday to rent a cello and they had one in stock but didn't want to rent it to me because I wasn't going to rent it long term. Gave me attitude when I asked "what does it matter if I rent long term or not" ... then called me later that day to apologize for the way they acted and said they would have a cello that Saturday so I went back and they gave me more attitude and wanted to say we never called nor that they would have a cello for us. seems to me they only care for return of investment instead of actually being their for the kids... I recommend "The Modern Music Studio" literally a couple buildings over, had a much better experience there Dustin was amazing compared to the staff here at "Beaumont Music Centre". read more

I have finally got around to doing this review. What can I say about this incredible gem of Beaumont, California. We had been looking at quite a few places for music lessons for our children (ages 5-13) and found so much more at the Beaumont Music Centre! A carefree, family-friendly environment, EXTREMELY knowledgeable instructors, fun atmosphere and instruments to play! My youngest son does drum lessons with Randy Caputo (Jazz drumming legend), my oldest son takes piano lessons and absolutely loves them! My daughter (the oldest) took violin for two years with someone else before studying with Patrick and he is taking her musicianship to a whole new level. The owners of this shop (Jack and Andrea) are no slouches themselves though; they have a deep understanding of music theory and are quite talented musicians. They have a workshop on Thursday that my daughter attends and she has learned the guitar in a very short amount of time. Truth be told, I've learned a ton just sitting there and observing the workshop as I play guitar as well. Oh...and that patience these two have with all these teenagers at the guitar workshop...saints! This shop boasts the lowest prices in town too! They can special order nearly anything if they don't have it in the shop...even really obscure rare guitars. All in all I am just thrilled that I get to support a local business and my children get top quality instruction. Oh...last thing, their connections in the music industry is expensive but you've got to do some digging to find that out because these folks are humble. Jack greeted me when I walked in and was super knowledgeable. About 40 years ago I bought my husband an acoustic guitar at a well known large chain, not the same experience anymore. Today I was visiting mom in banning and broke a ukulele string. I found Beaumont Music Centre. I was delighted at the home feel and layout. There was such a selection in every Area Guitar /12 string / ukulele/ straps picks / strings and yes a woman's favorite jewelry. My fiancé and I had been looking at 12 strings as a wedding gifts. I had a very unprofessional experience at this establishment. They are family owned, seemingly nice ppl. I signed my son up over the phone for piano lessons by the owner Jack, he was quick to take a cr card over the phone. We had a total of 4 lessons, all of which started 5mins late and ended right on time at 110$ a mo at once a week for half hour, I asked what missed lesson policy was on the phone when I first called, owner replied with, we can make them up if child is sick at later dates. So we missed a lesson, when we came in next, I spoke to his wife, asked if I can reschedule my sons missed lesson, she starts to talk about we do not do make ups, in a very condescending tone, it's in your contact! They never gave me a contact to sign or explained any policy when we started, I explained this to her, she continued to bad mouth and put the blame on her husband and told me to 'hold him to his word' Awkward much? So Jack txts me later in the week, and arranges a make up at 2pm on a Monday with instructor, I drive 25 mins, show up at 2pm, sit in lobby for 10mins past 2pm, I finally get up and ask, where's the teacher? Apparently she forgot all about the lesson, due to lack of owners communication with teachers, and basically has an 'oh well' stance on situation and blames it on teacher rather then being apologetic and taking responsibility for the lack of professionalism and mistake on their end, and made me feel as if my business wasn't valued and my time is unimportant, I find this to be a horrible way to run a business and at that point the disorganization and inconsistent non uniformed practice of business was enough for me to cancel my sons lessons. I do not recommend this studio to anyone. read more

I totally recommend this place for private lessons. My 6 year old daughter started 2 months ago and she has already learned how to read music. She also is playing the piano pretty well for the time she has been taking classes. Jack and Andrea are very kind and knowledgeable. The lessons usually run long at no extra charge. They don't cut you off and say "sorry times up" they let my daughter finish whatever she is doing or answer any questions I might have without rushing me out the door. I love that they didn't push me to buy a new keyboard/piano even tough they sell them at the store. They instead advised me to buy a used one on Craigslist. Who does that anymore!? Who gives advice that will cost them commission of some sort. They were right I found a used piano for $100. Love this family oriented, down to earth, friendly place. Update: I have been contacted both via phone and via Yelp messaging and informed of some difficulties that impacted the timeline of repairs for my little accordion. There were apparently some serious illnesses and job changes experienced by the repair person which contributed to the delays. While I am sensitive to the issues, none of that information was conveyed during the four months my accordion sat in the repair room, untouched. Had I known that there was so much going on, I would have happily removed my little accordion from the mix to eliminate that small amount of stress from the equation. Not thrilled with rental policy. It is almost double the price of the rental place in San Bernardino. And they want a lot of personal information including you ss# DOB and drivers license #. When questioned about this ridiculous dangerous privacy invading policy they stated they wanted to be able to take me to small claims court in case I didn't return instrument. (Which is worth a lot less than they could get stealing anyone's identity) So clearly they don't trust me or their customers, so why should we trust them? I hope they lock it up because now someone may break in just to get that info. Beware. read more
