I was a walkin at lunch time. There was no wait. I've been getting pedicures & powder dip or gel for more than 15 years. The older gentleman who does pedicures is very rough. My pedicure at points was painful. Towels WAY too hot. His hands were not steady. It didn't help that the nippers were dull and wouldn't cut my toenails. Then he used the same ones on the skin. Not great. He swapped out for a younger lady to paint my gel polish. Unfriendly to say the least, but the worst part was the polish. Base coat was fine. The she applied 4 layers of gel polish plus a top coat. WAY too thick. Then at the end she took out the file and started filing the front of the nails and sides. At that point I knew something was going to be wrong. I didn't notice until I left and had time to actually look at the polish but it was lumpy (not suprizing with so many coats) and there were areas with no polish and areas with streaks. Worst of all was the dull, uncoated areas that she filled off. If you don't know, when you file gel and don't reapply a top coat that is what makes it chip. I've been going here for a almost 2 years and I don't think I'm ever going back after today. I had an appointment for 16:15 and didn't get started on my nails till 16:55. My usual nail tech had abandoned me to help THREE other customers that came in after me. Kevin helped me today and I know now that I should've walked out when he sat down. He cut into my nail with cuticle cutters, he made my nails extremely lumpy and when I asked him to thicken it because I could feel my actual nail he got an attitude. He cut me with the nail drill and didn't do anything about it. Not to mention the fact that my nails are lumpy, droopy, none are the same shape, and the end of my nails aren't straight. If I could personally give Kevin a Yelp review for the nails he gave me today, I would give him negative 3 stars. My nails are my confidence and these are just making me depressed. read more

Extremely rushed even though we arrived at 4:30 We were the only customers for over an hour. For the price, close to $400 for 3 people,quality of work not great. We had 3 Deluxe Pedicures.. mediocre. Can't recommend this nail salon enough.....have had a great experience every time with my most recent time being phenomenal! A friend and I wanted to get our nails done after work, but were turned away (quite rudely) at 3 different places in Homewood. Beaute was not close but I said let me call them and see if they can squeeze us in. The lady on the phone was like yes come on (woo!) so we hustled out there and they were able to give us a pedicure as well as gel manicure. They did such a good job and everyone was so nice, even helped us pick the perfect nail color!! Turns out I was being proposed to which is why my friend suggested getting our nails done in the first place!! I cannot thank them enough and I am beyond grateful for their willingness to serve two more customers!! This is the only salon in Birmingham I will go to from now on! read more

The color swatches are presented in books which makes it easy to choose a color. They very professional and asked me how I wanted my nails done and didn't do a rush job. Hi! My boyfriend and I went today to get men's mani/pedi and gel mani/pedi. The lady started with my boyfriend. And then more people came in and you could tell she felt rushed. She ended up rushing thru my boyfriends pedicure and then did a horrible job with the manicure and didn't even shape or clean them. That all took an hour. In the meantime I'm sitting and waiting my turn. But it was the same lady that was to give me my mani/pedi also. I had soaked my gel polish off and had my toe polish removed. She then picked up the cuticle pusher that she used on my boyfriend and used it on me. She didn't open a fresh pack for me. I asked her to stop. I had, at that point, been there an hour and 15 min. We got up and paid for what they did even though it was a horrible job, and then left. I question the cleanliness of this salon. read more

I showed up without an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. This salon is close to my gym (lifetime fitness) and my grocery store ( publix.) I saw they were running a promotion and thought I had nothing to lose. They employees sat me in a chair without a wait and while this place is new without the bells and whistles I was impressed by their close attention to detail. I came in without an appointment and someone was able to start on my nails right away and he was very nice. I got a full set with gel polish and they looked really good and cost $50. On the 5th day one of my nails came off. I didn't break them or anything it just came off. Didn't even leave behind any residue or glue. It was super weird. Then I noticed the color starting to fade and come away at the ends. The edges of the acrylic nails started to darken and it just looked bad. By the next day another nail had come off so I just took them all off. The fact that I could remove them so easily without soaking them lets you know how "secure" they were. I've never had this experience at a nail salon and it was such a waste of $50. I really wanted to like this place. read more

I had the worst experience ever at this Nail Salon. I went in to get a change of color on my toes-I asked the technician to please cut my toe nails a little shorter-he said he couldn't unless I paid him $10 extra or got a full pedi cure. I was incredulous and asked again to be sure I was hearing this correctly-he said I am the owner and I will not cut the two toe nails unless you pay $!0. Since he had prepped my nails to be painted I asked how much that would be since I just wanted to leave. He said it was $12-so he painted them. The salon was empty and I asked if I could stay in the spa chair to let them dry and he said NO-I had to move to the front of the store. It was awful-I will not be back! read more

I was there once when they first opened...and at that point I swore not to return, but I did. I ordered a basic pedicure for $30 ... the girl who was pumicing my feet started and was doing it so lightly it wouldn't even remove any dead skin. When she started on my heels I asked her to please scrub harder .... the man doing my friends feet stands up and said I need a different pedicure if I wanted that..and pointed to something $5 more on the menu...I said "I have to pay $5 more to have my heels done properly?" and then just said fine...she gave a little more effort on my heels and the remainder of the pedicure was exactly the same as my friends...who paid $5 less. I was more than annoyed and more annoyed at myself for going back there again in the first place when there are much better places around. The water was burning hot and then when they went to scrub the dead skin on my heels using a "cheese grater" type tool-- it was too vigorous and painful. I have gone to this salon before maybe twice when they first opened (July 2017) I went again (May 2019) and was BEYOND annoyed with one of the guys. I asked him does it look like I need a manicure and if it looked like I needed one to give me one. He acted like he couldn't tell me if I needed one and after maybe 5 attempts he finally said "I don't know". Then I wanted my feet polished, the polish he put on looked terrible on the first toe so I stopped him. He said he didn't have the color to match my nails. So I asked for American polish he said they didn't have it, I then asked for French and he got up and pretended to look around and then said we don't do that here. So I then said ok I won't get anything just leave them. He said it's $10 dollars I said "why, you don't have what I want so I'm not getting anything". He insisted I had to pay $10 so I left calmed down and went back and found a color that kind of matched my nails. I didn't appreciate the bad service but I've been there before and there 1 really nice guy in the salon. Now after 3 days my gel polish is peeling and I haven't been in water or anything. read more

The worst experience at a nail shop I've ever had! The tech who said she was the manager insulted me and told me toeNails were too short not smooth enough and misshapen and too thick to paint properly. I made an appointment just to have my polish changed the tech acted like she did not even want to be servicing me at all. I let her know that I was very self-conscious about my toes because I had broke all of them and I couldn't help how my toenails Grew I lost both my big toenails twice and when they grew back they were very thick and uneven. I was completely was shocked how this tech treated me. I have been to hundreds of different shops in 25 years and I have never been treated like that. when I confronted the tech about how she was treating me she told me she was doing me a favor because she let me go in front of her regular customer that was a walk-in and I had an appointment. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he wasn't there to call back tomorrow. I called and spoke to someone who said he was the owner today and he didn't act like he cared he said that I could come back in and have them repainted and that was it.
