My last "gifted" review for today. I received this facial treatment via Living Social as a gift from a distant relative. Obviously they do not know that I regularly visit an establishment elsewhere but,as I stated in other reviews, I appreciate all that people do for me. (I don't believe in returning gifts.) The building is conveniently located. It is a cold but professional medical building that makes no excuses for lack of presence. (My dentist is actually within this building!) The location of the salon itself sadly reminds me of a converted closet; it is tucked away down a bathroom hallway. Although extremely small, there is more than one therapist's practice within, and I was made well aware of this at time of checkout. The treatment is very disappointing. A simple treatment that I know from experience takes more than one visit to see results. Ms. Camille was very entertaining but extremely pushy - giving me the hard sell on future visits, pushing her one other machine therapy on me, offering me "deep discounts" to do both and discounts for treatments with the other therapists. She also spoke at great length to me on why I needed to buy the few products that she sells, and that I should bring all of my friends so that I might gain a free treatment from her. While I completely understand the state of the economy, at no place and at no time during any treatment do I appreciate an entire treatment full of sales talk. Also, the room wasn't clean, the bed uncomfortable and my treatment time was not fully delivered. I am not the type to lodge a formal complaint unless something should go terribly wrong. I find it simply less stressful to thank the establishment and extricate myself from the situation as quickly as possible. While I do wish them well, I regretfully cannot recommend. read more

Beauté Oblige has such excellent treatments and is so effective that I travel to NY from LA just for Camille and her team's amazing approach to beauty. Having grown up in Paris and keeping a very natural look I will not do botox or anything of the sort. I know that I will delay any signs of aging if I keep up my routine at Beauté Oblige with products that are all natural. Being a frequent flyer, I might come back from a long trip and look totally rested because of the extraordinary work Camille performs on my face. This place is AMAZING! As an adventurer, fitness and military martial art instructor I'm not the kind of guy that normally frequents "beauty salons," however after a particularly grueling training in the Amazon, my skin was a wreck. On the recomendation of a friend I went to Beaute Oblige. The endlessly charming Camille gave me some sort of out of this world facial treatment that really gave me hope that I could reverse the years of abuse my face had taken in the harsh tropical sun. Camille is the absolute best. She treats her patients like family and gives you advice that is genuine. Her treatments are like no other treatments I've ever seen offered in the US and are incredibly effective. A MUST before vacation or simply for maintenance. Her son, Olivier, is extremely helpful in scheduling and her staff is extremely knowledgeable in all the treatments. You HAVE to try the body treatments for cellulite and overall toxin disposal to keep your body healthy. I give Beaute Oblige A five star rating because i was very happy to finally see my cellulite on my legs improve greatly! I purchased a package of 10 facial treatments at Beaute Oblige; one session is not enough. Would buy a second 10 facials package without hesitation, if they were not that pricey. I have enjoyed every session and every time I felt I was in competent, professional hands. The Camille Obadia products are also very nice, particularly the oxygenation and the yam creams and have a pleasant scent. In addition, Camille is delightful and Olivier nice and accommodating. Received a Living Social voucher service. This was terrible! The owner Camille talked non-stop trying to get me to buy more treatments from her, her products and treatments from the other therapists that apparently rent in this tiny space. Also, the space was dirty, I could see dust bunnies under the bed and the carts - yuk. These other reviewers made me feel like this was a good investment but I absolutely cannot say this was worth my time or money. Advice? PASS read more

One star for extremely pushy sales tactics, which I don't appreciate anywhere I go. Looked like outdated machines with little to no results. Cramped, tiny space located in z bathroom hallway made me uneasy from z start, although z office building is on Madison. You go into z bathroom hallway to access z door to z "spa."
