Words cannot describe how above and beyond Jackie went to make our wedding beyond perfect. We were floored with what she was able to do just from a few phone calls with us photos we sent her. I look at photos of our wedding now and I am still in awe of what she and Beautiful Blooms pulled off... I can't believe that was MY wedding! Jackie was also super creative and resourceful. For example, she brought to life a gorgeous, giant flower wreath arch which was used as the altar during the ceremony and then repurposed as a backdrop for desserts during the reception. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the centerpieces, to the cake flowers, to the flower crowns for the flower girls and the flower collar for our dog, the ringbearer! On top of all of this, Jackie's customer service style is amazing -- she's so wonderful and cheerful and a joy to have on your wedding planning team. Had a terrible experience working with beautiful blooms for my wedding on june 3rd. I made it very clear that I did not want any roses anywhere, and the pop of color was supposed to be rust orange, with lots of loose eucalyptus flowing from the bouquet. The bouquets showed up pink with roses, and did not look like anything I had asked for. When they "redid" them and returned them to us (several hours later), they were not redone at all. They just ripped out the unwanted florals and left gaping holes in the bouquets that my mother had to fix. I also requested beige cheesecloth runners. Only half the tables had runners, and the ones that did had white ones. To top it off, the employees that were hired to set up at our venue were completely unprofessional and caused a huge scene in front of guests and the whole wedding party. The woman in charge started screaming at everyone and throwing things, to the point that cops had to be called to remove her from the venue. After all this, beautiful blooms only wanted to offer us a small fraction back of what we paid (only 15% of our total) which I thought was terrible considering the shit I had to deal with on my wedding day. We ended up settling on 25%. Still doesn't make up for how badly they messed up but it's fine. Hire at your own risk. read more

Also, a bridesmaid had to cancel for unexpected reasons (10 days) before the wedding and they would not cancel her bouquet or refund the money. I wanted to pay for my daughter's bouquet and called them 3 times and NEVER received a call back. Find another place for your wedding flowers. We really enjoyed working with Sara from Beautiful Blooms! They were so accommodating, especially because I was planning my wedding from out of town! For our wedding they did all flowers and lighting (at the Curtis Center) including the most beautiful crystal chandeliers. People were raving about my flowers, especially my bridal bouquet! They even helped me add personal touches, like my grandmother's cross and other "something borrowed" to the base of my bouquet. I had trouble expressing exactly what I wanted in the meetings but Sara got it and definitely delivered. I especially loved the receptionist - she was so incredibly nice!! Always helping us find parking :) I would recommend beautiful blooms for any wedding, especially Sara! read more

I chose BB because they were the selected florist vendor for our venue, Tendenza. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work and professionalism. I also used them to drape our reception room for a ceremony. They did all the lighting as well. All the flowers and the venue was beautiful! They are so great to work with. Beautiful Blooms was an incredible choice for our wedding. I had a heck of a time deciding on our florist because the theme was more outside-the-box. I wasn't sure if Beautiful Blooms got it at first, but they were so nice we returned to them after speaking to another florist who was ridiculously expensive. I'm so glad we did. Sara was great. Our next meeting was spot-on with ideas and Sara was actually thinking about our wedding at dinner one night, and suggested a smoking cocktail she had (made with dry ice) that became our mega-hit signature drink. It just got better from there. We wanted to decorate our venue stairs with lanterns, and Beautiful Blooms had an extensive warehouse of items. Also, they were so reasonably priced to rent. Instead of traditional favors, we had a section of various themed items and they again had such a reasonable price to set-up/create signs for this and did really, really impressive work. My bouquet was stunning and when I wanted one more thing (adding some gold the bridesmaids had), Sara ran right back over before the wedding to put it in mine. The bouquets were woodsy, whimsical, unique, just like I envisioned. The night was such a blur, I'd love to comment more on the ceremony arch and centerpieces, but I need to wait for pictures! For centerpieces, we had a sort of tree formation with a moss-trunk stem, and from what I remember, they really hit the mark. I was told by guests it looked very fantasy, which is exactly what we wanted. Beautiful Blooms studios are spacious and bright. When you meet with your florist, she can bring up your Pinterest board on a large screen, and that was very helpful. The entire staff is very friendly. If there's ever a future event in my life where I need a florist, I will be working with them. read more

Out of all the vendors we needed to arrange, finding a florist for our November 2 wedding was the most difficult. We met with at least 3 other florists in the Philadelphia area and had issues with each. They were either too pricy, too snooty, or didn't listen to our ideas at all. A fellow engaged friend recommended Beautiful Blooms and as soon as we met with Sara Fernandez, we felt extremely comfortable and confident that Beautiful Blooms would be wonderful to work with. We discussed our budget and Sara was able to provide us with many different options to suit our needs, both financial and artistic. Sara was able to pull up my pinterest board and other photos on a large tv screen in the room and we flipped through various inspiration photos to determine exactly what would work for us. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she was easy to get in touch with to talk through final plans, which was great. On the day of the wedding, our flowers were dropped off at our hotel on time, looking even better than what I had envisioned. Their team also did an excellent job of setting up the venue and table centerpieces. Guests were extremely impressed and everything was just how we had discussed. I would highly recommend Beautiful Blooms to any bride looking for talented florists that are extremely easy to work with and provide many options for all budgets. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! My daughter's wedding was on 6/3 great morning getting ready until the florist arrived. Bouquets were not right!! Flowers should have been rust orange with eucalyptus. My daughter specified No Roses/No Pink and she got exactly what she asked not to have in her bouquets. They took them back to redo them and in the meantime she is crying and upset called her now husband to find out the boutonnieres are wrong (pink roses). So no flowers for the getting ready pics or Dads first look of his daughter. They had to deliver them to the first look site. Her bouquet was a droopy ugly mess and the 2 bridal party (yes only 2) bouquets they only cut all the flowers out that did not belong which left empty holes and the cut stems that were left behind. Get to the venue where guests are arriving for ceremony/reception and the room is not done (barely started) table runner colors are wrong and they did not have enough to do all. I told the decorator it was the wrong color in which she preceded to say to another worker "I'm not changing anything" and tells me they were left over from another party and were approved. Really!! By who? Venue is trying to help get all equipment downstairs because ceremony starting soon and the girl starts yanking stuff out of her hand. She starts yelling at me "You need to know my name" when asked to speak to her manager (guests at this point have arrived). She continued to act like a lunatic and the police had to be called to remove her. Too long a story to write word for word and actions in this review but it was ridiculous, embarrassing and highly upsetting. Florist arrived after ceremony approaching me to apologize and to let us know that the decorator won't be returning to clean up at end of night. Really!! I let them know they would be getting a call on Monday in which it took days for them to return the call and only offer a small fraction of money back. Half the flowers were cut out of bouquets and decorator never finished the room (there were quite a few there decorating from the company that was contracted out by florist but only one acting like a unprofessional lunatic). The reception was a blast but waking up the next day and seeing my daughter's bouquet just pissed me off all over again.DO NOT LET BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS RUIN YOUR EVENT!! LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Unreliable. Not a word you want describing a vendor for your wedding reception. I rented the upper floor of a popular restaurant in center-city Philadelphia for a 3-hour Saturday evening dinner from 5-8pm. I was told the flowers would be delivered by 4pm, ready to be placed by their staff as soon as the restaurant gave the word. The restaurant gave us access to the space at 4:10pm, with the flowers yet to have arrived. My mother and the restaurant called every 10 minutes and were repeatedly told the flowers were on their way, but they still did not arrive by the start of the event at 5pm. Due to the restricted space, we could not let guests fill the space before the flower delivery. The flowers finally arrived around 5:20pm, and my mother, mother-in-law, and several other guests had to frantically unpack and set the majority (if not all) of the flowers as the delivery people brought them in. My 3-hour wedding reception dinner was delayed by nearly 30 minutes. In addition to making my guests wait in a cramped space and outside to be allowed in, the value of that lost time was over $3,000. Not to mention the priceless time lost visiting with friends and relatives who traveled for my wedding reception. After a lengthy correspondence with this company, they would only refund the delivery fee of around $200. They said they were late due to a road closure because of the Rittenhouse Arts Festival- A major annual event which a center city florist would be aware of and for which road closures were posted weeks in advance. I would not trust this company for your wedding. read more

I do not doubt that Beautiful Blooms is a wonderful florist; however there were some communication gaps when trying to get a proposal. I had reached out to Beautiful Blooms with a pretty detailed e-mail about my wedding and exactly what I wanted. We set up a quick phone call with Jessica soon after. The call was very friendly and Jessica had noted that a written proposal would be on the way. A week later, I followed up to see is the proposal was ready as we already had other floral proposals and was trying to make a final decision soon. Jessica told me the proposal would come by the end of the next day. I followed up with Jessica with a competitor's proposal to see if she could match or beat it with no answer. Four days later, I finally received the proposal from another Beautiful Bloom team member. Soon after, I told them I was going elsewhere. From phone call to proposal was nearly two weeks. With most other florists, I received proposals within 3 days. Not sure what happened here. UPDATE: Exactly one month after I e-mailed them I was going with a different florist, they e-mailed me to see if I was still interested. Another example of bad communication. read more

Before I met with Jackie, I read the other yelp reviews noting that Beautiful Blooms did a wonderful job, but that you weren't able to see your arrangement before the wedding. I know that brides are probably so eager to have a preview of their bouquet (as I was too!). Well after discussing with Jackie, she managed to have a sample arrangement made so I could feel better, which I really didn't need because she 100% understood what look I wanted, and delivered on it! My wedding relied 100% on flowers for decoration and Beautiful Blooms executed my vision. The talent, professionalism, and service are all reasons for the 5 star review and in my experience meeting with other florists in Philly, no other came any where close to the professionalism and service Beautiful Blooms provided. read more

My wedding day wouldn't have been the same without Beautiful Blooms! I recently had a wedding and booked Beautiful Blooms to be my florist. They were SO accommodating and so welcoming. I loved working with Liz and Alicia! Alicia knows how to read your mind. I would swear by it. Every detail I would discuss with her, she knew how to execute them. She was a wizard! She was totally opened to my ideas and the quirkiness I wanted to bring out in flowers. The hardest part, I do admit, is going with your gut since you're unable to see the flowers until your big day. Rest assured that they know what they're doing. My flowers, especially since each and every flower was cherry picked, all came together perfectly. Don't be afraid to ask question or second guess, they are here for you to work with you and not against you on what you want. Very accommodating vendors. During COVID times, it is truly important to recognize people and businesses who have the utmost values at their core, and Beautiful Blooms is one of those companies. They truly care about their brides and grooms as humans, and do not view you as a customer. Our wedding was scheduled for 8/22/20, and we originally planned to have a 250 person wedding at a venue in Philadelphia. Due to COVID this wasn't able to happen, but we did not wish to reschedule as I am a front line worker and we wished to get married on this date. I originally reached out to Alicia to see their policy regarding the contract - she was more than happy to use our deposit to create a bouquet and boutonniere for our small ceremony and special day. Both were absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations! My husband and I were both so thankful for their truly amazing work, and the kindness and respect that they treated us with as customers. They went above and beyond to make sure that both parties in the contract were happy, which sadly, is a rare thing for businesses during this time. Beautiful Blooms was recommended to me by my venue and a friend who had also used them for her wedding. We loved our contact there, but unfortunately, halfway through the process she went out on maternity leave. Fast forward to my wedding day, and the flowers not only arrive late, but arrive without MY bouquet. One of my bridesmaids called and they said they forgot to bring it and would send someone with it. I found hard to believe and guess they forgot to make it, as it started falling apart as soon as I picked it up and all the way down the aisle. The bouquet I designed with my blooms representative had beautiful muted purple orchids, not the neon orchids in my bouquet that showed up. Also, my church was right around the corner from B Blooms and the groomsmen's flowers never showed up. When they called they were told the delivery guy was on his way, a mere 15 min before the ceremony! The table centerpieces were pretty but were simple, so hard to mess up. We paid for bathroom baskets to save time but they ended up being pathetic for the cost. We were told by B Blooms that we would receive a refund for my disappointing bouquet, which we we received, and a credit for future Blooms arrangements and a gift from my registry, which we did not receive. I will NOT be recommending this florist to any of my engaged and future engaged friends. I had so much fun designing my dream bridal bouquet and it is a shame it fell apart and I have no pictures with it enact. read more

I live close by and occasionally stop in for a few stems. She always stocks the really pretty lush varieties. Though they are expensive, I often find that simplicity & minimalism allow me to pick out 2 - 3 stems and leave totally satisfied with some gorgeous flowers (though I did once spend $27 here on various flowers after having a bad day). When I can't go to the farmer's market, Beautiful Blooms is my #1 choice for lovely flowers. I am happy that they are so close by. read more

I can't say enough about the team at Beautiful Blooms, without whom our recent wedding would not have looked nearly as great. My husband and I started the florist-finding process hoping not to spend a zillion dollars on table arrangements and other decorations, such as candles. We were sure we couldn't afford BB, based on their gorgeous offices, but Donna was very accommodating and reasonable when it came to working within our budget. We told her what we were hoping to spend, what we wanted, and she made it happen, seemingly effortlessly. She understood what we wanted and created it just as we pictured. She also broke down our proposals/invoices line by line, so at any time we could feel free to strike things. And although our total spending was pretty small (compared with some of their other clients), we never felt pressured to spend more. Our wedding was at Front and Palmer, and knowing that Donna's team had a lot of experience working in that space meant we didn't worry about a thing. The cherry on top was the dramatic, elegant arrangements she created for the ceremony itself - my husband had some pretty specific ideas of how he wanted them to look, and it's safe to say they surpassed our high expectations. We even got compliments on them from wedding guests - unheard of, as far as I'm concerned. Who remembers the flowers?!? When they are this gorgeous, I guess people do. We worked with Jackie at Beautiful Blooms for our June 4th wedding and we were very pleased with our choice. Jackie was creative, knowledgeable, pleasant, professional, and easy to work with. We met with her twice before our wedding--the first time we discussed what our vision was for the wedding and looked at photos, the second time (closer to the wedding) we confirmed all the details. In between I gave Jackie access to my Pinterest board so that as I came across pictures of flowers that I liked it would help her to understand what we were looking for. Jackie was able to recommend appropriate types of flowers and guide us in the right direction so that we could stay within our budget and to make sure the flowers held up (I had originally wanted hydrangeas in my bouquet not realizing how "thirsty" they were so we swapped it for something similar that held up better and used hydrangeas for our table arrangements). Our flowers looked BEAUTIFUL on the wedding day, held up really well all day/night, and it really looked just as we had planned. My husband and I sat at a sweetheart table during our reception and there was a moment that we had to ourselves to just look around and enjoy things and we both said at the same time "wow, this is perfect and just how we imagined it"--the look of the reception was timeless and elegant and Beautiful Blooms decorations had a lot to do with that. The only item that didn't work out as we had discussed was pretty small--we were supposed to have floating candles in the room where our ceremony was but somehow the candles were misplaced/not added before the ceremony and we didn't want to hold things up so we had to go without. It was not at all noticeable during the Ceremony, it just looked a little odd in a handful of the photos because they just look a bit like water glasses. Nothing major. A couple of other items worth mention-Liz, the receptionist, was very helpful in making our appointments and made us feel welcome and special (glasses of champagne, etc.) at our meetings. While the office is a little tucked away they have free valet parking which is very helpful and my husband and I also used it as an opportunity to have brunch and check out some of the trendy spots in Northern Liberties after our visits.
