Thursday Evening 2/5/26 I was in the area and remembered I wanted to grab flowers for my girl for when she got out of work. I found close by and saw the hours were open till 6. Accepting that I might not have a huge selection to choose from, showing up at 5pm, I went in and met Taylor. A small standing room with lovely arrangements, pots, plants, and other essentials, I came up to the counter and was greeted with questions of what I was looking for, and what the occasion was. Taylor smartly quipped herself with everything she needed to know to make a beautiful bouquet right in front of me. This wasn't the experience I thought I'd get so late in the evening, but seeing the effort to accommodate any guest no matter what, was felt as much as it was seen. Fantastic local florist near Rittenhouse Square. My fiancé and I came here on a whim to purchase an arrangement for a friend, and our expectations were exceeded. The shop is small, with a variety of flowers and plants on display. The owner, Kim, was so sweet and nice to talk with. She put together a beautiful arrangement for us in under 10 minutes. It had roses, lilies, peonies, and more, perfectly color coordinated with lots of fresh green. The total cost was $70. They accept all major credit cards. Highly recommended. read more

I called them at 4pm today about delivering a bouquet of flowers to my mom, who is in the ICU at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. I had called a few other florists, but they had all said that delivery would have to wait until the next morning. So the fact that Avanda had good yelp reviews and could delight me by delivering the flowers within 3 hours sold me. Their minimum delivery price ($65) was a little higher than expected, but they delivered a beautiful bouquet on-time. I asked for a "spring vibe" and they assembled some budding willow branches, lilies, irises and freesia. My dad and sister say it came out beautifully and my mom is thrilled. read more

I passed by Avanda while rushing home to host a holiday party, and noticed they had a sign up that all cut flowers were 50% off. Figuring my apartment needed some color anyway, I stopped in to find gorgeous bouquets and pots of lovely flowers. I was in a hurry, so I asked if I could have one of the unique bouquets in this one particular pot, and they said someone had actually ordered that one, but they could make me a new one. When I mentioned my rush, they let me take that amazing bouquet and said they would make another for the person who ordered it! Avanda is a neighborhood gem! Their little storefront makes me happy every time I walk by. Recently, I saw a hens and chicks plant (like your Grandparents used to have in the garden) hanging out in the window and I had to go in. The nice woman who helped me pulled the plant I saw from the window and 4 others like it from all around the store so I could pick my favorite. They had a couple of other house plants hanging out for purchase, too, such as aloe and succulents. The fresh cut flowers looked pretty lively. Many moons ago, I used to drive a flower delivery van for a super contemporary flower shop with a big star client (okay, it was Oprah). I ordered flowers today to be delivered locally same day . They took my information and credit card from a Very nice employee . The receiver got the flowers the until the next day because her name wasn't on the actual card envelope (nor was her apt num). the doorman gave it to someone else and those people actually kept them knowing it says my name and her name inside the card . Had to wait until 11pm to get the flowers back to then have it given to the receiver .
