Very frustrating, but in itself, not the reason for this cautionary review. I made several calls that day and subsequently to this business, but none were returned. I emailed and called Tranquil Moments requesting my money back and was ignored for 2 weeks. Today I called my credit card company and requested a chargeback. I do not care how good Tranquil Moments is at massage if they cannot keep an appointment, and then ignore phone calls, emails and text messages about the missed appointment and requests for a refund. My belief is that this business planned to keep my $110, and hoped that I would just give up. I will never ever attempt to book with this provider again. The landlord told me that he has seen a number of other customers show for appointments only to find the business closed.

I made it to the correct location a few moments after what would've been my appointment start time with the hope that they would still be able to see me and that my appointment may just be shortened. Apparently, I was worried for nothing, because the whole place was closed. Not a car in the lot, "closed" sign on the door and the whole place was dark. I called, texted, and emailed again to see if there was some sort of misunderstanding. No response. Then I called again the next day asking that my card be refunded. To this day, I have not had any kind of response from them, and I have not been refunded for the service I never received. Don't try to book an appointment here! They will take your money and you'll wind up having to negotiate with your credit card company to get it back.

My polish is uneven and my nails are so messed up. I asked for just a touch up on my brows and ended up leaving with stick thin eyebrows and wax all over my face and in my fair. I asked for a refund and they offered to have me come in and get it fixed. That seems like a really uncomfortable experience so I preferred a refund and would go elsewhere to get my hair fixed. I had 3 different email chains with various salon workers until Jean Tretheway got a hold of me. She proceeded to scream at me over the phone about how it was rude to get a refund because someone spent time on my hair already. (um...WHAT?!?) she also told me that my hair would grow back and then she screamed that I was not a good fit for the salon when I had frequented for years to have Hannah color my hair (Hannah was the best and did not do this haircut). Avoid Shear Design at all costs. A word of advise to the owner, Jean - the managing director of the salon - should probably be put through SEVERAL customer service trainings. Will be sure to spread the word.
