The total was $92 for two pedicures with regular polish, not including tip. I'm not sure what the going rate for pedicures now a days but $45 for a regular pedicure seems a bit high. My sister originally asked for a fingernail to be fixed as the shellac polish had peeled off. She decided to get a polish change instead after staff upsold her that service. She had gotten a manicure elsewhere and picked a different colour polish during this service. Prices are not posted in the store. You have to find the prices online. Also, you need to look thoroughly at the bill. My sister was charged $5 for shellac removal, $25 for the polish change and $10 for nail fix which never happened. We only noticed that after we had left the store and finally had the chance to look over the bill. The nail tech showed the bill on the iPad in store with a quick scroll down the screen. There were so many charges that it got confusing. We basically were charged $10 extra for a service we did not receive. Prices were average for the North Burnaby area. The store itself is modern and trendy. Pedicure stations had massage chairs. Their nail polish selection was great. They do have a loyalty program if you plan to visit them regularly. Points collected will earn you a discount on a future service. Overall, 3.5 star experience because of the billing hiccup.

One wierd thing I noticed was the first girl started my nails and then in the middle abruptly got up and switched to another girl- no warning or explanation. Strange but ok. The day before yesterday I went for the second time. I went as a walk in, and the girl seemed a bit off from the beginning. Why I'm giving three stars is because I'm happy with the nails, the attitude I got was not ok. Also I need about that long to pick a colour which I did while I waited. I went in for a new set of acrylic nails. I haven't had my nails done in about a year and it was time. Nancy is amazing. She did my nails and spent so much time on shaping them and making them perfect. They are the most beautiful almond shape. Easily the best shaped nails I've had, and under 100 dollars for a new set with tip and special chrome powder on each. Unfortunately my phone can't capture the colour (a sort of greige with chrome purple on top) but my nails are stunning and I couldn't be happier I will be back !

When I politely asked for the water to be changed because it had become too cool, she seemed reluctant to do so and made very little effort to communicate with me in English, which made me feel discomfortable. In addition, the foot and leg massage that I expected as part of the service I booked was NONE. Throughout the appointment, I was repeatedly encouraged to purchase additional services for an extra charge. While I understand that businesses may offer upgrades, I felt the focus was more on selling additional services than on providing the relaxing and attentive experience I had booked. I also had concerns about the hygiene standards. After the previous customer finished, I noticed that only the plastic liner in the foot bath was replaced, and I did not observe the foot bath tub being sanitized before the next customer's service. I also observed staff wearing the same gloves from one customer to another without changing them. In addition, some staff members wore masks while others did not. I was also disappointed with the reception and payment experience. The staff member responsible for greeting customers and processing payment came across as dead fishes and the payment process felt more like money collector. No consistent uniform or professional appearance, which gave the business a lazy and disorganized impression. Throughout my visit, there was very limited English communication, and most conversations among the staff were conducted in Vietnamese. When I walked in, she looked as if she didn't want to be there, offering no greeting or smile, and had a demeanor similar to an angry school teacher. She pointed to the chair, and asked me in a brusque manner, "What do you want to do today?" I specifically told her that I wanted to clean up my eyebrows without thinning them out. Despite this, she proceeded to roughly remove the hairs, causing me a lot of pain and leaving me with uneven eyebrows. When I pointed out that one eyebrow was thinner than the other, she refused to take responsibility for her mistake, blamed my eyebrows, and simply walked away. To add insult to injury, after threading my eyebrows, she didn't even apply any gel or cream, which is the usual practice to soothe the skin. When I asked her for some, she rudely extended her arm out to me with the gel and told me to do it myself. To make matters worse, I had gone to the salon two days before my birthday, and now I have to celebrate with thin, uneven eyebrows and a couple of scars. I'm extremely unhappy with the service I received, and I won't be returning to the salon. I do want to mention that during a previous visit, another esthetician, a kind and patient woman from Bombay, did an excellent job on my eyebrows. However, based on my most recent experience with the owner, I cannot recommend this salon. If you're looking for someone who is gentle, patient, and follows instructions, I suggest you look elsewhere.
