Each isle was overwhelmingly stocked with crochet hair. Which isn't what I was looking for. I asked for a particular brand of hair and of course they didn't have it. I've been in this beauty supply store 3 times in the month since I relocated to Maryland. Each time I have found what I needed with ease. The store layout is spacious and the variety of extensions are awesome! Today I went in to find a wavy bob wig and with the assistance of the helpful wig attendant I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. She made great suggestions of what would look nice on me and was very patient. She offered to cut the lace from the wig once I paid and she did a great job (way better than I would have) with the hair line. On the day of my visit, they were having some type of celebration. Music, give-aways, and a ton of people. BOY OH BOY...this place had every hair-care product I could imagine. Everything you could imagine from dye to hair beads for little girls. I even purchased a hooded dryer (because I love them and it's been years since I last owned one). They also carry all the human and synthetic hair you want, including wigs. That particular day, if you spent over a certain dollar amount, you were able to 'spin the wheel'. I asked her "Excus me, How many packs of this hair do you think i will need for a full head?" She looked up then away. I have been coming to this store for years. I used to come to purchase wigs a lot. They have a great variety of different styles, lengths and colors. There is always some type of percentage off the hair too, especially during holidays or for back to school. They have rearranged the store. Years back you use to come in through the front door and then leave out through the door in the back. Now they have it where you come in and leave out through the front store. They have the store set up totally different, but I like it. There have more products in the store now they they have expanded it. I love the makeup section. They have all types of lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadow, nail polish, eyelashes and a lot more products. It also feels more roomy. This is definitely my favorite beauty supply store. read more

Please Read!!!!! I purchased a Red Pro hair steamer from Beauty4U. I had the steamer for exactly one week and hair the steamer stopped working. I kindly returned to the store where the manager had the nerve to tell me that this was my problem and he wouldn't give me an exchange or refund. I was so upset, I sat and my car and cried. Then I remembered what my mother taught me. Always put big purchases on your credit card. I called my credit card company and filed a grievance against the store and quoted the information from the Maryland Attorney Generals page and I got my money back through them. I am only posting this because for some reason, some (not all) Asian American stores do not respect our dollars. Please take heed and know your rights because I think that most of us never follow up and file grievances. If you buy from this store, please use a credit card (no cash). If you use cash you will have to go to Prince George's Counties Consumer grievance system and you still might have to still take them to small claims court. I fought them through my credit card company and won and you can too. Don't go through the BBB.org This store doesn't reply to complaints. We need to fight to show that our dollars matter. I've shopped at this location for several years and outside of the fact that they don't have a restroom for customers in such a large store, I never had any issues. This past Friday evening I brought about 9 packs of Marley braiding hair and that night I got started on my hair immediately. I got to my 4th pack of hair and when I tore it open I saw pieces of debris that I assumed was from the popped rubber band inside. Wrong! It was a dead bug very similar in color. This morning I explained to the supervisor "Jay" what I discovered. Showing him the product with the dead bug still entangled. He remained silent, plucked the bug, which flew behind the counter with him, asked for my phone number proceeded to give me another pack of the hair which I did NOT want at this point. He refused to give either store credit or a refund with or without the receipt. When I asked where it was in writing that they couldn't provide a refund or store credit for items contaminated with bugs and he told me to go to their website. So far I'm still searching. read more

I get my Paul Mitchell freeze and shine from this place each time I need to replenish my supply. It has the best value for the price and its on the way to my parents house. This is a fairly large store that has many items for any beauty salon needing to stock up and its pretty clean. I recall this used to be the local grocery store that I used to frequent with my parents growing up so it also has some sentimental value of home. There's this dry cleaning place next door that has probably been there forever and a day. So, overall a good place with history and a place to pick up your beauty needs and supplies..plus, there's never a line when I go there.
