Yes, they have every single hair product catering to kinky, curly and all textures. It's best to know what style you want and find the corresponding hair that way. If you go in not knowing what you're looking for, you're sorta lost. There is a lady there that makes excellent recommendations, pretty sure she does hair. But she was busy! I was just there to get some ideas for my next style for my vacation. What made it weird, after I left and I was inside my car figuring out GPS directions, the owner was yelling at me rom a distance from outside my car, windows up, I could not hear him, he was still yelling, I put my window down and he was yelling that he shuts the gate (to the parking lot) so I needed to leave. Off-putting and rude because there was no need to yell. These stores have a reputation for rudeness. I've never experienced it, but I see what people mean. I was visiting from out of town and went here with my mother and aunt. This is probably a non-negotiable stop for my mother because of their variety of wigs. So she brought a personal wig of hers into the store, asked the store clerk if there were any comparable styles. We racked up about 6 wigs in which the clerk sent to the front for check out or so we thought. Towards the end of our shopping the security guard removed my mother's personal wig out of my hand without saying anything to me. I was on the phone at the time. So I was baffled. One of the other clerks helping us out went to him and accused of us of stealing. It was humiliating and the clerk cursed at us too when we asked her why could she be confused about anything? The manager was less than helpful he served more of a bodyguard and less in like a helpful and accommodating manager. I wont be returning there or spending any coins either. And I encourage any person who is thinking about getting anything here to not patronize their business. read more

Do not shop here unless you want substandard products. I purchased a curling iron that was defective. They did not tell me at time of purchase that the item was on their non-refundable list, even though the item was broken. Then they wanted me to purchase a new one when I just returned the defective item to them. Poor customer service. read more

I visited B4U while in the neighborhood. The store looks fairly new. There is ample parking in the parking lot. Inside looks extremely clean. All the items are easy to find. The staff is super nice and helpful. The variety of hair products available and the prices are very reasonable. They even have a section for makeup, clothing, lashes, and more. You probably have noticed Beauty 4Us cropping up across Prince Georges County; there are 9 and 2 VA locations. This Temple Hills location is considered headquarters. It's spacious and well organized. PROS: -Huge amount of inventory available in store (well over 100 brands) -Lots of natural hair care products: Miss Jessie's, Mixed Chicks, Shea Moisture Organic, Carol's Daughter, Moroccan Oil, Biosilk, etc. -Popular salon & barber brands: Design Essentials, Keri Care, Mizani, Barry Fletcher, Wella, REDKEN, Andis -Extensive collection of wigs, weaves, and braiding hair -Hair salon in store CON: -Exorbitantly high prices on higher priced premium brands I visited a couple weeks ago looking to buy some gray Andis T-outliner trimmers. They had plenty of them on the left display wall after you enter the store, as expected. Beauty 4U were selling them for $79.99, which seemed high but barbers love them. I decided to try another beauty supply store 3 miles down the street, they also had them, but were selling for $49.99. That's a 60% markup! Please Read!!!!! I purchased a Red Pro hair steamer from Beauty4U. I had the steamer for exactly one week and the steamer stopped working. I kindly returned to the store where the manager had the nerve to tell me that this was my problem and he wouldn't give me an exchange or refund. I was so upset, I sat and my car and cried. Then I remembered what my mother taught me. Always put big purchases on your credit card. I called my credit card company and filed a grievance against the store and quoted the information from the Maryland Attorney Generals page and I got my money back through them. I am only posting this because for some reason, some (not all) Asian American stores do not respect our dollars. Please take heed and know your rights because I think that most of us never follow up and file grievances. If you buy from this store, please use a credit card (no cash). If you use cash you will have to go to Prince George's Counties Consumer grievance system and you still might have to still take them to small claims court. I fought them through my credit card company and won and you can too. Don't go through the BBB.org This store doesn't reply to complaints. We need to fight to show that our dollars matter. Especially those imported and/or tough to find. Their products are lit with pin-spotting??? It is spacious, clean, well-organized, well-staffed. There is SO much stuff that even with what seems to be a BSS on every block in these parts, I would easily drive 10 miles to come *here*. I've passed Beauty 4 U stores a milion times and finally step foot inside this past week. The store is huge anf parking is plentiful. Ita also bery metro accessible a few minutes walk fr Naylor Rd metro station and a bus stops right on thr sidewalk outside of the store. Tons of inventory. I'm pretty sure whatever you are looking for they have it here. I took my time and looked around. I came in for a particular brand of matte lip color and came out with a lot more than that. The store was well organized with signs above directing you to the section you are in. I found the prices to be great! While this location isn't close to me, I still frequent it. It seems to always have the items I need. I do get a specific hairstyle every single month and I've noticed that this hair store always has the specific locs I get. I'm noticing that the salon closer to me do not carry most of the products that I use. This one seems to have everything! I love that the place is big and spacious and the products are easy to see and find. They have multiple items there such as press on nails, eyelashes, Hair and all sorts of products. Honestly my only complaint is that it does feel a little sketchy when you go there. The outside could be a little more inviting and I have to admit that the security guard always makes me feel uncomfortable. I have been coming to this Beauty 4U for years and this is the first time that I left upset. I went in with a laundry list of items needed for me, my daughter, and granddaughter so you already know. If you've ever been in Beauty 4U then you know that there is no method to the items on the shelves. The first item that I needed help in finding was a rat tail comb. Y'all know how important those rat tails be...LOL! I asked the MANAGER and her response was...CAN YOU LOOK DOWN THIS AISLE? Ma'am...I am tired of walking down aisles trying to find it, that's why I ASKED YOU! Found the rat tail comb and needed some curl wax and no one in the store knew what I was talking about so here I go walking back down every aisle until I found it. When I got back to the counter, the young lady asked if I found what I was looking for?????? Really??? At the same time, a lady approached the counter wearing a manager badge and I expressed my concern of how no one knew where to find anything and the young lady swore up and down that she told me 4B. BUT, the last time I checked, when a customer asks where something is, you approach them and inform them of the location or take them directly to the aisle. None of this occurred. I don't recommend this store for a weave. I purchased one bundle Just to try it out and I'm 3 days that hair was tangled as hell. Had to wash it and it was ok for another day. Back to the tangled. Forgot to mention I asked for the best quality in blond 18 inch. SMH. It was $80. Great quality hair cost more that $80 a bundle. But it's a nice looking store. HUGE superstore with every beauty supply you could ever imagine for "black hair". What is "black hair" anyway? Huge spectrum of course, and they cover it all! Lotions, potions, gels, curlers, clips, combs, brushes, extensions, wigs, hair color, perms, hairdryers, curling irons, and high-end shampoos and conditioners. Don't forget the plethora of cosmetics, nail polish, hats, socks, flipflops, and costume jewelry. Goodness gracious. And if you are like me and like to read every single ingredient in every single product, you'll be in here forever if you don't arrive with a plan. I never arrive with a plan. I end up playing this 'game' of finding 3-5 different products in different price ranges that have the same ingredients in the same order. This makes me happy for some reason. I always feel like I've "won". Won what?! Nothing. Just more money out of my pocket. But this gives you an idea of how much product they have in stock. This place is AMAZING! Literally any beauty product that you could ever think of or need can be found in this place. The building used to be occupied by Circuit City before they went out of business, so you can just imagine how much space that is. It's HUGE! They also always have some kind of sale of special going so you'll never pay too much for what you need. When it comes to beauty supply stores, this place is a one stop shop. This is by far the best BSS (beauty supply store) i've ever been in! To start off they pretty much cover your everyday essential beauty needs and then some. Not only is their hair care section extensive but there's so much more such as a whole wall dedicated to accessories and makeup, hair appliances ranging from about 35 and up, a built in salon for demos, and if you need hair extensions or a wig this is the place to go. Most BSS i've been to are dark or dimly lit with a horrible smell and no decor. which is why my expectations for BSS was not so high, basically a get in and get out situation but Beauty 4 U is way more than that. since it took over the space of a circuit city there's plenty of space so no cramped aisles, its clean, the decor is bright and friendly and nothing is out of order or unorganized and the prices are fair. Long story short, whatever you need they have it! the employees weren't rude but they weren't bubbly...guess it was a long day for them but i didnt mind because almost everything was 20 or 30% off. This is a huge Beaty supply supply store and they had everything I needed. They are located where the old circuit city is , so there is ample of parking available . I like how they have arranged and categorized everything especially for the hair brands you may be looking for. The store does have a hair salon attached to it, which explains the quantum of large size items available . My only concern is that the cashier who assisted me told me when I was trying to use my card they only accept credit and not debit because of the chip. Since I work in finance I know this is false and sometimes it takes credit much longer to process depending upon the merchant turning over their debit and credit machine. After staying to her it says here debit but she was so adamant for me to use credit. Also, as large as the store is I didn't see many people working. There was a couple of gentleman standing about who obviously owned the place cracking jokes. Next time , I will come with cash and hopefully there will be better customer service . read more

Wowsers was all I could think of when I stepped into this mammoth warehouse filled with beauty products. Unfortunately for me because I live in NOVA I have to trek over to Maryland/DC whenever I need to access "culturally" relevant services I so desire. Or in other words ethnic hair care products/needs are pretty nonexistent in my parts. This place has everything you could literally need and don't need for that matter. The store ranges from costume jewelry, makeup, wigs, barber accessories, weaving extensions and of course the hair products. Another cool thing is that they sell "natural" hair products that are not typically sold in stores and you have to purchase online. They have affordable pricing and the staff generally helpful from what I could tell. The location is in a less than desirable area but that won't stop me from coming ;) read more

My sister and I visited the store on May 18, 2021 the guard at the front and the employees were very nice and welcoming. However, when I asked the manager by the name of HONG for help he snapped and said everything we have is on the shelf he was so stern and short! Then later I walked by the same aisle because I was looking for hair beads and he was mumbling under his mask and looking straight at me so I gently asked him sorry I can't hear you did you find the oil I was looking for and he JUMPED UP AND STARTED YELLING saying what's your problem what are you looking at I was so shocked and embarrassed in the store :(. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! They were literally amazing! I had an issue w my American Express not recognizing the merchant so they took a deposit and let me come back the next day to get it. They were so nice! They took off the tax and saved me $30 and not only did they do that but once I bought this wig, they cut is, styled it for me in a specific way I wanted, gave me two free caps, a free wig griped, 2 free brushes and the earrings I was originally going to get! Okay I'm exaggerating but the building used to be a Circuit City, if that tells you anything about its size. The only complaint would be the lack of help. There were a lot of employees but when I looked around they were all chatting with each other. Fortunately what I was looking for was easy to find so I was in and out. When I walked up to the cashier to check out she said "membership" and I was like huh, what? No hello, how are you. One would think this Mega store has all the beauty supplies you need....wrong. I'm currently 0-2 with this beauty "supply" store. I will say they have the basic beauty products. But if you are looking for something in particular you may have better luck, like my self, at finding it at a much smaller store. The first time I was looking for Queen Helene gel..they didn't carry that brand of gel. The second time I was looking for LA Girl concealer and they didn't carry that either. Ok *deep breath* Where do I begin? Let me start by saying Beauty 4U (esp. this location) is a beauty addicts and cosmetologist's dream. They have a large selection of hair and beauty products, hair and even show case salon furniture/equipment. I'm an average costumer that likes coming to this store (no matter the location) because of its selection of products and hair and fairly reasonable prices and they do offer incentives. However, there is a trick to it if you aren't careful, listen, read and investigate. Because unfortunately while this place seems great..it falls in line with a lot of beauty supply stores where the owners tend to get over on their customers. I probably would be giving this store a glowing review with 4 stars, but after what happened a week ago I'm afraid I'm going to have to downgrade to a 2 stars. So I spotted a wig I liked. I spotted it a week or so before I actually purchased it. During that time I was informed by one of the staff members that if I brought in old wigs (which the store would dispose of for you) I would get $3 - $5 in store credit (per wig) towards a new wig. The person didn't specially say what kind of wig I had to purchase. Nor did she mention any limits to the number of old wigs I could bring in. Of course I didn't ask because it sounded like music to my ears. Last week I gathered 8 of my old wigs. I called the store to be sure if they did take old wigs. The person on the phone told me they do and it's $3 of store credit (per wig). So by my calculations I had $24 worth of credit to put towards a new wig. The wig I spotted was only $30.99. However, when I discovered that the color of the wig I desired was the color of the display wig and there weren't any more with that color, I decided to go ahead and purchase the display wig. The wig was still fairly new and looked decent. Now, the store did knock off 10 percent for me. However, I asked if I could get anything additional off because I brought in my old wigs. NOW HERE IS THE KICKER: the staff member told me that I couldn't get the additional discount because the wig is a HALF wig. The old-wig-for-store-credit is only for FULL wigs. At the time of my purchase I saw that the wig had a tag (which was a cut in have piece of the original product tag with a bar code sticker on top - which is created by the store) and it read "HALF." Something about it didn't seem right, because the wig has BANGS!! How can a half wig have bangs? Yet I purchased the wig with the 10 percent discount for it being a display wig. It knocked it from $30.99 to $27.89 but with taxes took it back up to $29.56. When I got home I noticed the wig's original packaging. Clear as day it labeled the wig FULL. Just to double check I looked up the brand/style online (Motown Tress/SK-Kristal) Every time it came up, its description read FULL and there was nothing in its details that said it can be worn as a HALF. After doing more calculations (I subtracted the 10% discount plus the $24 from the old wigs I wanted to turn in) it seemed that I should have only paid $6.99 (sans tax) for the wig. The next day I took my findings to the store and spoke to a manager, Alex. I explained to Alex what happened and there was a mistake in how they labeled the wig. Clearly it is a FULL wig. Because it is written in caps on their receipts NO REFUNDS, I was willing to either receive any additional discounts (based on the 8 old wigs) towards the wig or store credit. Alex was less accommodating as he fed me BS rhetoric that some FULL wigs can be worn as HALFS and because that is is a comb in front of the SK-Krystal wig its considered as one that can go half despite the fact it has bangs. Then he said something about how the company sells them the wigs as halves even though the package says full. I just gave him a crazy look. I didn't get it. All I know is the wig I purchased said full on its original packaging and it has bangs! My conversation with him seemed pointless and he was standing firm on his view I pretty much chalked it up. Not before leaving I did ask if I could turn in those 8 wigs and receive the credit to use at a later time. Nope! he informed me that 1). you can turn in 3 old wigs at a time (it's still $3 each). 2). the credit is ONLY to use on a full wig 3). You have to purchase the wig right then and there. I'm on a budget, so it wasn't in the cards for me to even think about buying another wig! Before I could utter word; Alex says "It's not a promo or anything, but it' just something to make customers think or feel like like they are getting something good." Then he took out this 15 percent card that I can use on ANY product in the store and I can use it in the future. I'm not sure if I want to say Alex tried. I did get the initial discount for it being a display wig, but I feel like more could have been done & he could have acknowledge it is a full wig & cut the BS. I felt they got over still; by calling Fulls Halves & charging what they want. read more

This was only my second visit to this store. I agree with the other commenters the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a wide selection of wigs and weaves which are all nicely displayed. One thing I found notable was that after I made my hair selection I was handed a number and told that the hair I selected would be waiting at the register for me. I thought that it was an interesting theft prevention measure. I guess it was nice that I didn't have to carry the items around while I shopped but I felt a little strange about it. Like they expected me to try to steal something. I generally don't like any measures that assumes the community is untrustworthy. They have just about every hair product including natural hair products you can think of, Floor to ceiling hair and wigs as well. Beauty4u is the best as far as all hair products are concerned. You can almost bet that they will have what you're looking for. My only issue going here is that I can't choose what hairstyle I want. I always try and come with a plan, but that plan seems to always get thwarted because I come in and see all of these beautiful wigs with flowing human hair of all types and curl patterns and instantly, I can't remember what I wanted. This time, I went in with a plan to do a lob with bangs. It took a few rounds around the store but I made it out with just what I needed and at a discount since I use my hair stylist's member number to rack her up some points. read more
