She is the most beautiful, kind, professional, personable, CLEAN, and talented lash tech I've ever had in my 4+ years of getting lash extensions. I've had issues in the past with lash techs and my sensitive eyes, but never with Holly. My husband and I walked in with my daughter for her massage. The lobby was very inviting with comfy seats and soothing music. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Just when we thought we were in a comfortable space, it got better as one of the staff brought us to a relaxation room with three sofa lounge chairs and plush blankets. We were offered hot tea and water. My husband and I were able to just relax in that room with soothing music and soft lighting while my daughter got her massage. My daughter said she really enjoyed her massage by Andrea. Will definitely be a clean when we're in the area again! A great experience from start to finish. read more

Lola has been doing my lashes for a months and I love going to see her. She always makes sure I am happy and will check on me between appointments. She listens to feedback and is getting certified in a new lash line, which she (and I) are very excited about. She takes great pride in her work and really cares about her clients. I have only had lashes and brow wax/tint done here, no other services. She also does a great job on my eyebrows! Also, I bring along my infant and most times my mother can come to watch her. But this most recent time she wasn't able to come with me. Lola was very patient when my daughter began crying. Heather and Lola offered to help and let me take my time feeding her, changing her, and calming her down. They were very accommodating in this regard, which I really appreciate. read more

We got a mother-daughter couples massage and enjoyed it very much. The spa Is beautifully decorated and has a relaxing ambience. My daughter works out and so she received a deep tissue massage from Tori that she said was the best she has ever had. I received an extremely relaxing massage from Steve. I can't make a review of the other services in the business except to say that the staff is pleasant I've the phone and at the counter. Everything is clean and relaxing. But Crystal...she is awesome! My wife and I used to go to another place in town...and our experience there was good too, but one week that lady wasn't available so we tried Beauty Bar. GAME CHANGER. Crystal is a practitioner. She thoughtfully searches for the cause of our aches and pains and uses her knowledge and experience to relieve our knots and trigger points. We are so thankful we found her! She was cautious to not move past my comfort level during my deep tissue massage, but she wasn't afraid to but the screws to me and really work on my trigger points. Two weeks later I still feel benifits from her work in my daily movement and in my exercise routines. read more

I have honestly never visited Beauty Bar By Heather but my husband and I wanted to treat his mother to a very special spa day. With us living in California and her living in North Carolina, this seemed like almost an unattainable task. After a ton of research on the different spas offered in New Bern I settled on Beauty Bar by Heather - mainly because of her above and beyond customer service and you could tell that she was passionate about what she does. I e-mailed 3 places. Dun'Artie being one of them. The only reason I want to bring them in on this review is because I almost wanted to send my Mother-in-Law there due to their only difference -- their Eucalyptus Sauna. Although they never responded to my inquiry. And I'm glad! Heather not only promptly responded but reassured me a dozen times that she would take great care of my mom. She was clear in what her services offered and accommodated me mostly through e-mail which is my best form of contact throughout my work day. She sent my mom a beautifully wrapped box with her gift card in it. It delivered in about 3 days! Awesome! My mom called us after her treatment and raved about the services. Her daughter went with her and told me that when she got done with her treatment it looked like she had woken up from 10 years of rest. LOL. They were served refreshments and were able to relax in the relaxation room. They said that it was perfect from start to finish and that they will be returning customers. Thank you Heather for taking care of our special mom on our behalf. It's hard to be away from family but it's so wonderful when we are able to put our trust in a stranger to do something special for someone we love. You exceeded my expectations and I truly appreciate your help in making this mothers day a special one. I hope to visit next time we are in town. read more

Wow. Blown away! I'm very picky, I have high standards for lux treatments. This may have been the best facial I have ever gotten. I like my facials to be 'working' facials that make me feel transformed when I walk out the door. Not like I just did a good cleaning and mask at home. I am not new to getting facials, Microdermabrasion, chemical peel, extractions, massage, etc. I absolutely love how pampered she made me feel, Heathers hands are amazing, excellent. I have called and emailed finally received an answer that there was no lash tech yet and I would be called once one was hired. I called again and was told I would have to pay full price. This was my first time at this spa. I was not disappointed. I had been experiencing a lot of pain in my upper and lower back area and Denise (message therapist) knew exactly how much pressure to apply while doing my massage. She was very attentive to my needs and ensured that I was comfortable. I also had a Brazilian wax done by Heather for the very first time. I heard how painful it could be, but Heather talked me through it an eased my fears. Both ladies were amazing! Upon entering this stylish salon, I was greeted warmly and escorted to the pedicure lounger. This salon is clean, organized, quiet and very professional. A friend of my recommended this salon because she gets her eyelash extensions with Lola. I had never been to this salon before so I still did my research. I read up on reviews, pages on Facebook and Instagram. Eyelash extensions aren't cheap but the salon had amazing reviews and trusted that they were qualified. So I made my appointment and ended up with Lacey Palmer. She treated me well and I felt good about it. Until she started applying the eyelashes. I can honestly say that I am traumatized by how painful the process was. I could feel that the eyelashes would get glued together and she would wait til the end to separate them. But it felt like she was ripping them off and she was not gentle at all. She knew it hurt because I would flinch and would say I'm almost done. But the pain wasn't even worth it because the entire set looked terrible. They looked exactly like my natural lashes but with GUNKS of glue. I couldn't even comb them properly because they kept getting stuck or I would rip off chunks of my own lashes. I had to go somewhere else to get them removed because it was painful. I usually don't write reviews but I felt that people needed to know so that this doesn't happen to someone else. I'm just really upset because eyelash extensions are not something cheap it's a luxury. The owner of this salon looked right at my lashes and said that they looked great which was a fat lie. I will no longer be coming here for any additional services. read more
