So I ended up at the beauty bar over three years ago and I am so grateful! I was getting married and the girl I had lined up to do my hair canceled last min and a friend sent me to the beauty bar. Tasha the owner saved the day. She and another girl from the salon did not only my hair but my whole wedding party. Everyone looked beautiful. Three years later I still see Tasha for all my hair needs. I was a natural blond but the older I've gotten the darker my hair has gotten and unfortunately I have had trouble finding someone who can do blond without damaging my hair. Tasha has restored my hair. It's the healthiest it's been in a long time and it's back to a more natural looking blond! Absolutely LOVE this salon!! They have everything , it's a one stop shop to get all my things done. I'll start with the esthetician they have there, Michelle is absolutely amazing. I have always had trouble with acne and she is just a book full of skin care knowledge. You can tell she's extremely educated and passionate about her line of work which puts me at ease. I've done several things to try and help my skin, which I am someone who is super sensitive. However Michelle has cleared my skin, and is actively giving me suggestions on other things to help my skin. Every time I leave after treatments my skin is soft, less red and I don't have breakouts for a while!!! Once I do I know it's time for me to get back in! I highly recommend Michelle! Now for nails!!!! KNIEYA IS AMAZING!! Yes they have a nail tech here!! She does all her art by hand and she is definitely talented. I've been getting my nails done for a long time now and can't tell you how many different salons I have tried and I have never been truly happy. Then knieya came along!! She's a perfectionist, pays close attention to detail, she does magnificent work! My nails have little to no damage and I can go over a month without needing any touch ups and my nails GROW FAST, so that says something. Hair!!! I have gone to merissa and Ashleigh which they both have done such amazing work for me! My hair wasn't healthy at all because I get it lightened. However my hair is doing soooo much better, the color is beautiful and so is my haircut. Ashleigh is great! She makes sure I'm happy every time before I leave. Tasha is the owner and she is WONDERFUL, I booked an appointment with her for my sister on her birthday. My sister has pretty curly , frizzy hair. I booked a cut and deep conditioning treatment for her. My sister has always had trouble maintaining her hair, when we left she was SO HAPPY with the turn out. No frizz, sleek, shiny and straightened. My sister was soooo happy with how her hair turned out , it looked beautiful. This shop is lovely! You can tell that the owner and her team care deeply for this shop & the clients. My experiences were for service and the shop, and on my wedding day 4/28/2018. I've had the pleasure of getting my hair done with Lauren Fry at the shop for color & for wedding day trails. Yes trails because even though the style that was done the first time was gorgeous, Lauren could tell it just wasn't on the money for my expectations and wanted to make me feel at ease. When wedding day came she nailed it! Lauren is an updo goddess, and you can tell she enjoys it too! She is very personable, bubbly, real, and just a super sweet human being. I am glad I was surrounded by her vibes on wedding day. I also had the pleasure of working with Ashleigh Long. I got to meet her the several times I went to the Beauty Bar for my appointments. I got to see her in action too and you can tell how delighted her clients were. Ashleigh did my makeup on wedding day and I'm at a loss for words but will throw out a few; glamorous, on point, gorgeous, and beautiful! I was given so many compliments. My new thing is getting my hair done for special occasions and I'm obsessed with long eyelashes. A friend was getting married in Fallbrook and I started researching salons the minute I found out the date. Then, as soon as I got the invitation I called to make my appointment for a special style and an eyelash application. I know, I know, they sell DIY at Target buy my damn hand is too shaky to do it myself. The receptionist (?) took my info and checked to see when they could get me in and called me right back with the time. I arrived for my 3:30 appointment with Leah and she was just finishing up. She got me seated about 10 minutes later, but I buffer my time and my husband had to run a couple places, so it was no big deal. She did a great job on the blow dry, style and application. I kind of let her pick what she thought was look best and she was right. I loved the curls and they even stood up to the heat of the evening. In fact, the style lasted until the next day. I was very happy with Beauty Bar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great style at a reasonable price. Tasha is amazing. She did my wedding make up and hair and I looked incredible! I can honestly say that I have never looked better. I have had my make up professionally done (for a lot more money) in the past and looked really over made up and not like me. This time I felt completely comfortable and as if I had nothing on my face. I could write a book on how cool my hair turned out. Let's just say, I brought in pictures and had a vague idea and Tasha styled my hair exactly right from a very poor description of what I wanted. I was an hour late for my consultation (which I don't recommend) still, she worked fast and I got to see exactly what I was going to look like day of. I was thrilled with what she did in 45 minutes and day of it was even better and refined and perfect. I have got to say the Beauty Bar and her staff are the most professional and most attentive ladies I have ever trusted with doing anything with my hair. I have been going to Tasha for almost three years now. I started to go to her back in 2009 when my daughters needed someone to do their hair for their winter formal dance at Potter. My daughters just like me don't trust just anyone with their hair but Tashas awesome attitude sealed the deal. My daughters came out of her hands looking undeniably gorgeous and ready for the dance. When my daughter decided to run for Miss Teen Fallbrook Tasha was her go to girl. She even had Tasha come in and talk to all the girls about how to do hair and makeup. How to do their makeup for when they were on stage and also in everyday school life and my daughters have retained that information since than and use it on a daily basis. With the awesome way that she was able to handle my daughters I decided heck Ill let her get her hands on my hair which I never and I'll repeat never let anyone ever touch my hair. I have always done it myself and needless to say ruined it most of the time. Not only would I try and trim my hair but with all the chemicals I would put in it and dye that I would damage it with it was in pretty bad shape. When Tasha got it she didn't know what to do with it. Three years later Tasha continues to baby my hair and I love sitting in that chair for hours and we laugh about probably nothing. She has got to be one of my really good friends now. I mean if you don't make friends with your hair dresser than your in big trouble :). To this day my entire family uses Tasha and the Beauty Bar. As we pass out of town my sons ask if they can go in and make an appt to get their hair cut because the Beauty Bar is the only place that knows how to cut their hair. I think the only reason they go in there is to look at the pretty girls. I know my 8 year old has his eye on Simone lol. But with that being said I have found not only the best hair dressers in town but also some of the greatest friends that I know I can leave anyone of my kids with them for a few hours to get their hair done and I know coming out they will always always have a smile on their faces. Leah is my regular hair stylist, so I will review her for haircuts/color on a different post Leah (my personal hair stylist) and Tasha (the owner) took care of me and my family on my wedding day. I had a last minute addition to include my grandfather for hair and makeup, and Leah was super flexible and said it would be no problem. Both Tasha and Leah were kind, chatted with the girls as they did their hair, and looked to me for confirmation to make sure all hair had my approval. Leah did my hair and makeup trail (which I highly recommend for every bride to do - if you want to look perfect, you'd better practice first!) Leah is an honest and experienced stylist. My first hair trial didn't go exactly as I wanted, so she saw me again on a day that worked for me, she listened to my feedback and I had GREAT second hair trial. I appreciated her honesty - some stylists will try to bullshit you into thinking your hair is good when it really isn't - Leah is NOT that stylist. She listens to you and wants you to be happy and pleased. Because my hair and makeup trials went so well, I was relaxed and comfortable as Leah worked on me on my wedding day. Her energy and kindness were just what I needed to calm my nerves. Tasha also did hair and airbrush makeup for my mother in law and mother, as well as for a flower girl and a few bridesmaids. They asked good questions when doing my bridesmaids' hair - like "how well does your hair hold curl?" so they could make sure their hair stayed in place as long a possible. The airbrush makeup looked amazing! It didn't look heavy or caked on - it complimented their skin and eyes perfectly. I am so happy they looked so good. My sister has been in more weddings than she can count, and she said that her hair by Tasha was the best bridesmaid hair she has ever had! If you are looking for a place to have your hair and makeup done for your wedding, this is the place to go. Got highlights and a trim here and loved it! I have gone to multiple other places trying to get the perfect highlights and I think this is one of the first places that took what I said and made it happen. Merissa is the stylist i see at the Beauty Bar. She is phenomenal at color and cuts. She listens to your wishes and is honest and practical if its doable. She's very friendly and gives amazing scalp massages during your shampoo. If you are in the area and are looking for a stylist she is the one! The Beauty Bar did an AMAZING job for me and all 10 of my bridesmaids! They allowed all of us, plus my mom and the groom's mom to bring in our breakfast and lunch, play music, and relax as they got all of our hair and makeup done EXACTLY on time. We moved to the small town of Fallbrook 2 years ago.. with the move I had to leave my favorite hair stylist of 8 plus years thinking I would never find another stylist that I would love. Having no leads for a stylist in the area I spent a few months trying to color my own hair and living with patchy color and terrible grey roots until I received a local referral to contact Tasha at the Beauty Bar. So I did.. she was very friendly over the phone and literally found time to get me in for an appointment in a matter of days. My first visit with her was great.. not only is she super sweet, but she makes you feel comfortable and right at home, the salon is very nice, clean and professional. I have been a regular client with Tasha now for over a year and she really is wonderful, she listens to my questions and thoughts and my hair always looks amazing when I leave the salon.. Even better then the stylist I used before. My last visit I asked her to schedule me in for a mini make up trial as well. Not only did she make my hair beautiful she took the time to walk me thru some great application techniques, styles and products. She even took the time to text me some product ideas after hours. I am SO happy that I went to Tasha for my wedding makeup! To be honest, makeup totally scares me, and I had a really bad experience with another trial run for my wedding. Just by talking to Tasha over the phone, I could tell she knew exactly what I wanted! She was very conscious of keeping my look natural and making sure I felt comfortable. Love going to the Beauty Bar. It is hard to find someone who is good at color AND cuts and Ashleigh is amazing. Our whole family (mom, sisters, husband, dad and son) now go there because she is so talented and we love the atmosphere. All of the girls are so sweet and welcoming. I wish I could give Tasha a better review because she was a sweet person, however, I had the worst hair and makeup trial with her. My airbrush makeup didn't match so there was a distinct difference between my face and neck. The eye makeup was a disaster. I didn't realize natural meant shimmer and the fake eyelashes looked terrible. You could see the glue on my eyelids. She also did my hair which should have been my first clue. Surely no one is amazing at both hair and makeup. I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my hair. She mostly got it right until the end where I actually had to advise her on what to do and even then I looked like a grandma with poofy hair that frizzed around my face. What killed me was that she takes out her note pad and notes what she needs to improve on for the day of. So I'm supposed to trust that she will get it right on the day?! I drove two hours and wasted $200 just to find out I will not be using her for my wedding. I can't explain how disappointed I am and upset that I paid so much for nothing. read more
