I had the most lovely appointment with Brynn! As soon as I walked in, I was checked in and offered a drink! Their iced lattes rival some of the best coffee shops. The salon is clean, bright, not overly crowded or loud, and decorated well. Brynn was wonderful, and despite meeting her for the first time and asking for a big change, she was up for the task. I absolutely adore my haircut - super layered and fun - and the color is rich and shiny. The hair wash station chairs are so comfy, and didn't hurt the back of my neck, which was a first! I normally would not make a review for a hair salon since I'm the Supercuts kind of guy, but my wife goes to the salon in her hairdresser is Brit. Well with that being said I have been having a problem lately with dry skin and scalp well my wife mentioned that to Brit and she suggested as you see in the picture shampoo body wash called Pasta and Love which is absolutely amazing I've used it three times my skin is not chafing my head is not chafing and I am not using an abundance amounts of lotion! Now it may be an ulterior motive to this shampoo and body wash because it does smell as my wife says quite delicious so I guess there's an added Plus. I've been a client at Wave on Wave for about five years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I accidentally missed an appointment during a stressful time in my life and was immediately charged $175 (half the cost of the service). I completely understand that salons have cancellation policies and that stylists' time should be respected. What surprised me was the complete unwillingness to show any flexibility. When I reached out, I asked if there was any possibility of a credit toward a future service or even the opportunity to reschedule. I was told there were absolutely no exceptions and the charge would stand. After being a loyal client for years, it was disappointing to be treated with zero consideration or grace. Policies are one thing, but customer service and long-term relationships should matter too. Unfortunately this experience left a really bad impression and makes it hard to justify continuing to support them. read more

She did exactly what I wanted with efficiency and professionalism. She was very easy to communicate with and I felt very comfortable in her chair. I unfortunately can't say I had a great experience at this salon. If I could give a negative star rating I will definitely do that. I came to this salon bc I read amazing reviews about the hair stylist and overall the salon. My hairstylist (Nielliza S) to start off was not professional enough to keep track of time after bleaching my hair to the point that my hair broke in pieces, I went home hoping that it wasn't as bad as I thought.. then really hit me when I saw pieces of my hair falling down and now I was with hair loss and with broken hair that I need till this day wear hats to help cover it, and hair clips to keep my hair together. I reached out to the salon so the least thing they could do was to offer me some hair mask treatments to help with the dryness and hair loss. After paying so much money for a service that it was terrible and the worst nightmare of any women would have to go through- looking at their broken hair and hair loss. I don't recommend Wave on Wave Hair Salon at all. Staff is not client centred and they don't care about your opinion and or experience after you walk out unhappy as long as they already have charge you . All they care about is charging you money- Please avoid this place if you want to keep your healthy hair. read more

You will not regret going here. I wanted to find a blow dry place close to my house (South Morro Hills). I decided to try this place. I had an incredible blow dry with Nielliza and I mentioned how I was unhappy with my cut with my colorist. She told me what she would do differently and I instantly booked an appointment for today. Let me pre-face...I am used to $300 hair cuts. I have lived in Los Angeles most of my life. My current colorist at a different salon does a great job, but she doesn't do a good job on my cut. Nielliza is a master and gave me exactly what I wanted, she fixed my hair. So many layers and the perfect texturizing and cut. Their prices are so affordable, I was shocked. She is a doll and knows what she is doing. The owner is so nice and welcoming. You will love it here. Go see Nielliza asap. read more

I've been getting my hair done by her for a while now, this was my 3rd or 4th time and every single visit has been perfect. She just gets what I want, even when I'm not explaining it well, and she always makes my hair look better than I pictured. She also saved the day on my wedding. Another stylist was doing my hair and it just wasn't turning out the way I hoped. Ella stepped in without hesitation, stayed calm when I was definitely not calm, and somehow worked her magic to fix everything. My hair turned out gorgeous in every photo, and I'm still so grateful.
