So I decided to give them a second go. Since I don't get my nails done as often as I used to I did a walk in & the plus side was sat down immediately. The downside Holly was not there so I tried a different technician for my pedicure & got convinced into a manicure as well. They assign 2 technicians so it is done simultaneously. My pedicure was done by Andrew & he was very patient as well with me... I have a bad knee & reconstructed ankle so sometimes I have to be readjusted often. I'm not sure of the ladies name that did my manicure, but she was nice. Just definitely didn't seem to be patient actually got irritated that one of my nails wouldn't dry as quickly as the others. This was out of my control maybe they need to upgrade the dryers they use? I'm not sure, but I don't think I would allow her to do my nails again unless she was the only option left. The location is off of Rancho California & Ynez near the AMC between a vape shop & jilbertos. Pricing is reasonable & salon is very clean! unfortunately i have to update my review and sad to say i wont be returning because of a comment…read moremade by an employee. i just want to preface this by saying ive been coming here for years and only ever brought 3 people with me. when i first came 3 years ago, my ex who i was dating at the time (3+ yr relationship). my mom. and recently, my boyfriend who i've been dating for 5 months. majority of the time i just come alone. i've always loved this place, everybody is usually super nice and polite. designs come out exactly how i ask for them or close enough for me to be happy. recently i haven't been getting my nails done because things are really uncertain and i was just buying press-on nails to save money. my boyfriend wanted to treat me as part of his birthday gift to me. so we went together and i got my usual (acrylic set with basic gel pedicure) and he got a pedicure. what upset me wasn't the work or quality but a comment one of the employees made. he said, "oh hey! i didn't recognize you at first." then followed up with, "you bring so many guys here i didn't know it was you!" WOAH ! my jaw was on the floor. i asked why would you say that?? he just chuckled maybe he didn't hear me? i was truly shocked and my boyfriend looked at me confused. we just laughed it off and he could tell i was just as confused. now, imagine i was in an abusive relationship or some other bad situation and you make a comment like that, which is not even true. thankfully i am in a perfectly healthy relationship but i can't say that has always been the case. so this was just a really awkward moment for me and made me feel super uncomfortable. a comment like that could have really gotten somebody hurt... really weird thing to say even if you are just joking around. really upset tbh even if it were true, please don't ever make a comment like that to anybody else! you don't know people's situations and who it is that i'm with. it could have been a friend for all you know. pics attached have all been done here, what makes me the most upset is now i have to go to a million other places before i can match the quality and consistency at nail palace. i guess it'll be worth it to not be disrespected, though.

Unfortunately, my experience was very different the second time around. I work in an office and spend most of my day typing, so I specifically wanted short, practical acrylic nails. When I explained that to Ken, he didn't seem very pleased that I wanted them kept short. I wasn't looking for long, dramatic nails--just something clean, professional, and well done. I also took advantage of the complimentary pedicure that was offered. However, my full set was completely finished before the pedicure even started, despite my nails being done on the spa side where the pedicure was taking place. From a distance, my nails look okay, but up close there are quite a few imperfections. The shape is inconsistent from nail to nail, some are noticeably thicker than others, and a few have a slightly bumpy appearance. The overall finish just wasn't as polished as I expected. On a positive note, the pedicure itself was excellent and I was very happy with that service. While I would consider returning for a pedicure, I will likely go elsewhere for acrylic nails in the future.
