One day, during…read morea test, my engineer father walked me to the end of our alley to touch the pole, feel the vibrations, and learn how sound worked. When I wanted a tattoo to honor my dad, I knew that I wanted something geometric, riffing on engineering drawings and schematics. I gave Aaron a few images of the air raid siren that lived at the end of my alley, a Federal Signal Model 1, and told him my desired style. He went to work on a drawing, sending my drafts for comment throughout the process. The final was just what I'd hoped for, capturing the memory of my dad permanently on my shin. Even though the tattoo was just linework, I've seen some of the amazing ways Aaron can work with color, and while I'm pondering my next ink, I'm making sure it will take advantage of that skill. Aaron is a great listener and asks good questions during the design process to ensure you're happy with the design. He's unrushed in the studio, taking his time to get things right. He is an excellent conversationalist, converses on a wide variety of topics, and makes the time in the chair pass quickly.
