I'm very disappointed to be writing this post because I thought I'd finally found an aesthetician that could help me with my skin issues. But something happened over my last two visits to this place that absolutely ruined my skin. I had scarring from persistent back acne that I used to have and went in for a chemical peel to help lighten it up. Some kind of chemical was used in the treatment that felt WAY too hot, causing me to physically wince and cry out. I made it clear to the aesthetician that whatever it was was too hot on my skin and felt like it was burning much more than it should. It is normal to feel a slight burning sensation during a peel but NOT to the degree that this was. Over the course of the peeling process a large scar formed over this area and showed bright skin pink like you have with a deep cut. I was concerned but was assured that it would heal and go back to normal. What has instead happened two months later is an even deeper scar that was NEVER there before. Had I not gone in for this treatment there would be absolutely nothing in that area of my back. My skin looked 10 times better before I went in for this. My mother noticed what was going on and was concerned. I went back a second time to express my concern and get a peel to see if the lightening would improve. It didn't. It's even darker than it appears in pictures. These treatments are expensive ($150+) and I should without a doubt be improving not regressing. Words can not express how disappointed I am with Eryn and her service and feel like I am starting back at square one with my skin. I will never give my money to this place again and encourage you to do the same. read more

I have to agree with the other 5 star reviews, so 'ditto' to all that. Top notch skill and expertise here. Good prices - reasonable and most importantly, WORTH EVERY PENNY. Logistically - soooo easy: in the Cherokee Plaza on Peachtree in Brookhaven on the left of the Kroger; you park right there in the surface lot and walk into the "Salon Lofts" door and they are right there on the left. (no parking structures, no expiring meters, no finding the ticket - you park and walk in. All same level for anyone with stairs issues) There are a bunch of cool spaces in there. You feel special just walking in. The design is beautiful. Eryn was booked so Mariame stayed later to fit me in. This is the kind of commitment they have to their clients - new and returning. Mariame studied Biology and Chemistry as well as skin care so she really knows her products. She picked the pumpkin line for sensitive skin. It smelled so good you could eat it. No parabens too. I bought her recommendations and the prices for those were good too. Eryn recommended the microdermabrasion and Mariame's sure hand did a marvelous job. ZERO pain or discomfort, she got every square centimeter. There is a visible difference - a good one. I was super nervous because of previous damage to my skin caused by a medical doctor...an actual MD. Mariame and Eryn started the fixing process. The facial itself was relaxing and M does a great massage too on neck and shoulder muscles. I nearly fell asleep. They take credit cards - and you can TEXT or email for an appointment! I got my receipt emailed, one less thing to fuss with. :) Or you call for an appointment too. My only complaint is that I didn't find Eryn and Mariame sooner...well, also that they don't work in Los Angeles. Reviews on Eryn and Mariame: Wow and Wow. The first clue is their own skin, which is flawless. So they clearly practice what they preach...and it works. I 'm in Atlanta for work and will have to leave before the recommended time to return. I will actually consider layovers long enough to get to her salon and back to the airport! read more

Before we began Eryn gave me a mirror so we could go over any areas of concern. She was spot on, and pointed out everything that I had an issue with. I went in for eyebrow threading (after waiting 3 weeks to grow my eyebrows) to get some shape and symmetry. I was told by the beautician that she has been threading since she was 12 but I did not see any of that expertise or skill when she worked on me. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 16 years now. The beautician tweezed and cut my brows but spend less than a minute threading them. The place itself does not look anything like it is in the pictures. I was hoping to find a reliable and trusted beautician since I moved here recently. Erin is very nice and educated on skin care. I particularly like that she's educated on brown skin care and how it differs from lighter skin. She explained the skin treatments and the science behind them and answered all my little questions. She told me what the probable effects of each different treatment would be and showed me pictures of her other patients' before and after pictures. Eryn is amazing and the only person I will trust with my skin. I have been suffering with comedonal acne and keratosis pillars on my face for the past 4 years. These are two of the hardest skin conditions to treat and many will say they are irreversible. The texture of my skin was leathery, porous, bumpy and felt like sandpaper to the touch. Even the heaviest foundation could not hide my flaws. I also had hyper pigmentation from trying to squeeze the bumps. I tried everything imaginable and spent thousands over the years on products, online/YouTube/home remedies, dermatologists, acne specialists, spas, naturopaths, supplements, diet changes,medication, and estheticians trying to revert my skin back to its once flawless state. I've struggled with my cystic acne and hyperpigmentation since I was 12 (Im 28 now btw). It's been a lifelong uphill battle with many peaks and lows. Now that I'm older, I look at skincare differently. I now understand that's it is an investment but you need the right routine and professional to help really make a difference. I found Eryn through my older sister who received an eyebrow tint and facial service. I started seeing Eryn last year around this time and I try to keep up with my monthly microdermabrasion treatments. I get the diamond tip microdermabrasions (though not the most pleasant feeling as your layer of dead skin is being removed through a roller- type machine similar to having your nails filed - the best way I can describe it lol afterwards you will have a little peeling and scarring, that will quickly cease as you wash your face daily) but the results are amazing. Being able to see your skin so rejuvenated and healthy even before you leave her suite is an incomparable feeling. The product line she offers really targets your problem areas, the at-home routine is simple and clear. Speaking of Eryn herself she is very well versed in skincare and health and has offered her advice about treating my skin condition from the inside out. It was very important for me to seek treatment from another black woman about my skin and I'm confident I found the right one. Being patient and being consistent has paid off big time for me.
