However, today I walked into a gold mine! Family owned, expertly good at what they do, but the most important thing is that there was no pressure, and they were in a great mood and really made you feel welcomed, and obviously most importantly, their service is impeccable! I searched the local FB pages for recommendations and found that JR Nails had opened a few months ago. Rodger and Joann had previously been at another shop and gotten great reviews, so that's why I picked JR Nails. We were able to make a same-day appointment, but they also welcome walk-ins. When we arrived, there was one client getting a pedicure, and Joann and Rodger were ready for us. Another client walked in after we started, and they got to her pretty quickly, too. There is a large TV on one wall to watch, and signs indicating they had wifi available, but unless you're getting a pedicure, there's no reason or time to be on your phone. Another sign indicated that several beverages are available on request. The color choices were vast, and they give you the swatches from which to choose while they set up. All three staff worked quickly and efficiently. Even with the other two clients there, we were out in about an hour. At the front desk, they also offered us a piece of chocolate before we left. I'm trying to get my nails back in presentable order, and they've made me self-conscious lately. I walked out super happy with how they look and will return more often to get them done.

So I got my eyebrows microbladed about 8 weeks ago. In the before pics, you can see that I do have…read morebrows, but they are fairly thin throughout and especially sparse towards my nose. This was something I researched and read about for a good year and a half before finally getting done. While I have used a pencil and then brow gel for the last 5 years or so, I was tired of spending time on my over plucked brows and just wanted a good filled in look that I didn't have to do anything to! And over all, it has been an extreme success. I've saved so much time in the mornings not having to fool with my brows. Now, I will say that my brows are not even and I am waiting to do my follow up appointment to hopefully fix. But as a day to day, what I have works. On the other hand, I also got an eyebrow lift/perm. That didn't take at all. I was extremely disappointed in the outcome from that and would not recommend that at all. I've gotten it done several times before in another city, so I know what it's supposed to look like.
