I am new to Medford and wanted to try a nail place nearby. I picked beauty nails because of its reviews. I love a spa pedicure. The facility is very impressive and busy. The first thing I said was my nails were too long for me and I like them short. I had the normal spa care. Massages and different moisturizers which were nice. Polished and done but when I got home I noticed a few nails did not have the tops painted and were my white nails. But the worst part was several nails had not been cut down. Now I need to cut my own nails after paying for a pedicure. Not happy. read more

--- For nearly a decade, I was a loyal customer of Beauty Nails, but my recent experiences, particularly with **Kim (an owner)** and **Lanny (a tech)**, were appalling. My last visit was triggered by a previous appointment where **Kim and Peter** did my nails and pedicure. Kim's work was shockingly **sloppy**; nails were uneven with **gaps in the acrylic** despite being freshly done. She acknowledged the poor quality and told me to return. I wasted time driving back only to be told Lanny wasn't there to fix them. When I finally returned, **Lanny removed my entire set instead of just fixing the four bad nails**, despite me explicitly stating I was **NOT paying for a full redo**. I reiterated this multiple times, even asking if Kim was paying her. Lanny remained silent. **Kim, who was openly avoiding me, finally addressed me only to dismiss my concern about payment, saying "we'll talk about it later," then spoke to Lanny in Vietnamese and walked away.** It was clear Lanny was being forced to fix Kim's mistake. The final, unacceptable straw came with my last appointment with Lanny. I had booked it specifically to tip her for the forced redo, anticipating leaving the salon for good. However, Lanny was **nasty, cold, and deliberately inflicted pain**, pulling my hands roughly and squeezing my ring finger and pinky into my diamond ring repeatedly without apology. Her petty and childish behavior was utterly misplaced; her anger should have been directed at her greedy boss, Kim, not me. After years of loyalty, bringing Christmas gifts, and generous tipping (including for missed appointments), to be treated with such disdain and intentional harm was infuriating. I left without tipping Lanny, as she completely forfeited it with her unprofessionalism. **Kim is a greedy, manipulative fraud who fakes not understanding when confronted with issues.** While Peter and some other staff are kind, the management's unethical practices and the resulting poor service, especially Lanny's behavior, are unacceptable. Finally found a nail place I enjoy in Medford! I've tried other places but I really like this one!! Made an appointment at 9 am for noon. Took my name no problem! Showed up about 5 minutes late (traffic!!) and no issues! Got sat immediately and was given colors to choose from. I did not catch the name of who did my nails but it was a man. He was so nice! Made casual conversation but eventually stopped talking (which I honestly appreciated, I'm not much of a talker!) They took my temp and had everyone spaced out. All the employees wore masks and some wore gloves. I wrote in my check in that there were no gloves because my technician didn't have them on but then I noticed others did. Didn't bother me! Overall, I could really tell this guy cared about making me like my nails! He spent his time doing everything well and complimented my color! I love these nails and I will be returning!! I got a full set with gel nail polish and it was $42. They also have an ATM! read more

First, let me say I have been here 3x. The first 2 were just for pedicures and they were fine. I decided to go back and get a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure, again, was fine. $40+ and just fine...nothing to write home about. Well, my manicure was horrendous. My nails were long and I asked not to change the shape or length and she absolutely ruined them...they are now uneven and I have many different shapes on one hand! I asked for her not to buff them so much since they are on the thinner side and break easily and she kept buffing them because she was putting gel on even though I asked her not to (should have left then, that was my mistake). And lastly, the gel top coat was so terribly put on that it was splotchy when it dried. $40+ down the drain for a terrible manicure and crappy gel set. Never again! read more

Nails techs were rude. I had a cut on the top of my foot - which I made aware of and she scrubbed my foot so hard it started bleeding. Not even 12 hours after my pedicure my nail polish is falling off. If I wasn't on my way to my vacation I'd be going back to demand a refund. For the price I'd expect way better. I'm disappointed to say the least and will be going elsewhere next time. read more

I have been to this place a few times. First time I loved it, recommended it non-stop. Made an appointment for a specific nail tech only to show up and get someone else. However my nails looked good so I thought maybe it was a blessing. Well the nails didn't hold up, the dip kept lifting. I have gotten dip for years and never had this issue. I go back as a walk in figured i'd take my chances and I will NEVER go back. My dip nails were ripped off of my real ones. I asked for them to be soaked (like every other time) and was told "no no see" as he continued to rip them off. I made him stop. He then went to cut all my nails down and I thought maybe there was a misunderstanding of what I wanted. So I paused, explained I wanted dip and my nails could be filed or cut down if needed but not cut off to nubs. He understood. Then he proceeded to grab the acrylic setup where I re-explained I want dip. He said no acrylic stonger and I proceeded with thank you but I would still like dip. Now we finally get into doing my nails after having to re-pick a color. As he begins the dip process it appears he wasn't confident with this form he seemed very unsure of each step. Would file while still wet taking the color off and having to re-dip. Left for 15mins for phone call while per him "my nails dried". I'll post results below not that they show how truly ugly they look. Despite buffing they are so bumpy and rough. Some edges are rounded while others are square. He asked if I like them I told him no and that I didn't have time to fix them right now nor did I trust him to do it again. I did pay for services against my better judgement and left. However I will not recommend this place or go here again. read more

As soon as you walk in they rush you to pick a color. They barely listen to what you want. Rush through mani/pedi giving a look that I could do myself. They charge you triple what it should be. Never going back. read more

I used to love this place for getting my nails done but as of recently every time I go in they don't give you a second to look at colors and then they throw the color options at you on a ring and tell you to pick right away. You feel rushed and stressed which is the opposite of how I want to feel when I get my nails done. On top of that, the color options have gone down hill. There are hardly any options and they tell you that's all they have. The sample rings are missing so many nails. I was looking for a simple navy blue and they didn't have it. I had to settle for whatever they put in my face and told me it's what I wanted. Unfortunate. read more

Can't find anyone in the area to do a dip manicure correctly. They come out too think or the wrong color . And unfortunately that is true with beauty nails as well. I picked a fuchsia glitter but they look red for some reason . This happens a lot with dip, I'm not sure why the color never looks like the sample. My nails are too thick and the manicurist didn't file them down enough so they're also lumpy and bumpy. In addition, She did not go to the edge of my nails so I see white on all the corners.The staff is so nice and the area is so clean but my dip manicure is not so great . read more

I've been to Beauty Nails 4 times now. The shop is clean and pretty efficient. They do a good service for the price, but it depends on the person you get. I really like Lily. She is very good and gentle and does what you ask. She does try to sell up which is her job. read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. I couldn't have felt better during the entirety of my spa experience. The time and care and CUSTOMER SERVICE was phenomenal. I cannot extend my appreciation far enough for their prices also. My pedicure was only $25 and I really couldn't be happier. My gel manicure was $30!!!! WHAT I was nervous because it was cheap that the service would be mediocre but it was far more than mediocre. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

I came here with my mom because we saw the coupon they offer: be warned, it's only for Mon-Wednesday! We still had a pedicure because we wanted to treat ourselves. Overall it's really nice and the staff was very friendly. My feet are beat up on a daily and I don't take care of them like I should. They did a great job fixing my feet. The only negatives would be they didn't post that all of the coupons are mon-wed (not just specific ones) and they didn't have a lot of brighter/pastel colors to choose from. read more

I was in town for business and saw good reviews for this place so decided to try it. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the salon. I made an appointment and the nail tech was super fast and really did a great job. When I was ready to pay, I was told that I couldn't leave a tip on my card so he told me I could either get cash from the ATM inside the store or he could do another separate transaction on card for tip. I thought that was a little inconvenient but whatever. I was happy with my nails and that's all that mattered. read more

I brought my 9 year il daughter in to share a day of manis and pedis. They were fairly busy for a Sunday afternoon. We both received classic spa pedicures. My daughter had a manicure and chose designs for her fingers and nails. Everyone was friendly. We did have to wait about 10 mins but we were walk ins so we did not mind. The prices seems comparable to the area salons. The facility was clean and try did sterilize all the equipment before use. They do accept charge/debit but with a $15 minimum... And tips have to be cash only. I was satisfied with the pedicure but a little more care on cut downs would be nicer. I did get nicked 3 different places. We would most likely return. read more

I didn't want to write a bad review about this place because I really wanted to like it. This is my second time in, and there were a couple mistakes the first time I was in, but I figured it was a fluke accident. My first mail girl was so nice! They do a good job with nails overall, but I realized they do not care about the customer's wants at all, and at the end of the day I felt like I was only a dollar figure to them. They are capable of doing 4 star nails, but customer service is lacking. Here's my experience. I came in and couldn't find a color I liked, but settled on one. I was sat down and someone started sanding my nails down, and I was burned badly. Then he walked away for 20 mins, then I was sat somewhere else with someone else. He ended up having to take all of my nails off, sanding them down a lot, and asked questions like who did these nails, and i said it was beauty nails last time. During this time and a majority of the appt he was talking in another language about my previous nail tech and my past experience. I don't speak the language, but I've studied linguistics in school, so I can catch on. I asked for my nails to be shorter, but he made them too short, as he kept sanding them down more and more during the appt, and made my once square nails round, at that point it was too late to make them longer. Each finger put into the uv light burned like hot sugar each time, almost unbearable- I've never experienced that before, ever. He dissuaded me from getting the color I picked out because it was too expensive. I asked if there were any other colors because they were limited in the shade I wanted. He did make an effort to find one, but ultimately I hated it and I could tell he was frustrated with me so I didn't say anything. At the end of the day, the nails were made well, BUT were not at all what I wanted. I think the owner came to process my payment and tried to convince me my nails looked great, but I was so unhappy with how I was treated and hurt. When I came last time for the same service, it was $30, and this time it was $50, and I have no idea why, because I came here previously. I tipped well and left, crying on my way home. Please do better beauty nails- ask how you can help, what shape nails they want, suggest options, not sand down the nails until it hurts, talk less obviously about the customer, and just be kind throughout the appt. I would rather go to a bad nail place with great customer service, than a good nail place where they do not care about you or your requests. I hope everyone's experience here was much better than mine. read more

I got a gel manicure and pedicure from this location a week ago, and by the second day I had two chipped nails. They also do not honor sales that they show on their website, and try to up sale whenever they can. They also made my mother in law and I feel very uncomfortable by rushing their jobs, and complaining about how we came an hour and a half before closing to get our nails done. All I can say is beware...I have used this salon in the past and had been pleased with the cleanliness but things seem to have changed in recent months. I went in for a pedicure on a busy Saturday last month and I watched the nail tech take a tray of tools she had just used on a client's feet and simply spray them with polish remover and wipe off with a dirty towel! I asked for a new set that was wrapped, which I got. I decided to try a pedicure again this week on a less busy weekday and was directed to a chair that had just been used with the dirty, wet towel still on the foot rest....hmmmm....when I asked them to clean the tank, the tech grabbed a spray bottle of alcohol (that they use to wipe your nails prior to polishing) and spritzed the tank....no designated disinfectant or cleaning tools....I decided to leave.....not worth the infection... read more
