Can't trust what anyone says as I went in 2 weeks before to make sure they could do what I asked and was assured they could. Not even close The back is way darker than the front as my daughter pointed out which the stylist never let me see the back of my hair. And still no one has reached out to me.

I had not had my hair professionally cut in almost a decade, and for the first time in my life, it had grown quite long. I was incredibly nervous to let somebody chop away at it, although I knew I desperately both a cut and some advice. Not ever having long hair, I had no idea how to properly care for it, and it was in major need of some intense TLC. Charity. My girl Charity. Not only was she so incredibly sweet and kind- I could feel the good vibes coming off her the second I saw her- but she really listened to my requests and concerns. It was fascinating to watch her work- she was deft and quick. You can tell she'd been doing hair for some time. And while she cut, I asked her questions on how to better car for my hair, and she gave absolutely the best tips. She kept every millimeter of my length that she could while trimming away all the split and breakage and dry dead ends and gave me some lovely long layers that are easy to manage as a toddler mom. My hair looks fantastic and feels so silky and healthy! Like I said, everytime I do anything to it, I'm reminded of the power of a professional hairdresser. It's impacted my daily life having manageable hair again. I cannot speak enough good things about Charity. And I will certainly be scheduling a twice yearly trim with her from now on!

It's such a hard decision to start over with a stylist and it's always a scary experience! At Jyl Craven, from the second I walked in the front door, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The ladies working the front desk were so sweet and welcoming, there was a cute little retail area to browse while waiting on your stylist and it's just an overall good feeling. Then, I met my new stylist, Morgan! I was randomly assigned a stylist when I made my appointment online but I'm so lucky that it was her! From the second she greeted me in the lobby she was bubbly, excited and so ready to get to know me!! I talked to her about some hair concerns I have and overall just explained why I was there, to meet a new stylist and get a quick trim for now. She was incredible, we chatted the entire time about so many great things and she just made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend trying to get an appointment with her! As far as the services go, the hair washing station is beautiful and more comfortable than any salon I've ever been in. The chairs they use while you're getting your hair done are also top of the line. And back to Morgan for a second, but that wash and scalp massage was the best I've ever received. I could have napped in that hair washing station I was so comfortable! Overall, I had a wonderful experience both in the salon overall and specifically with Morgan! I'm so excited to have found my place here locally and I'll be a regular now for sure!

However there was a pricing discrepancy, a big deal I was told the price would be on price $300 the price they charged me was $400 something that I was not prepared for, I love the stylist, I do not think she and I had a miss understanding, I know Jyl did the price increase they keep saying who told you the price everyone at the counter told me the price , along with the stylist. I would have been a loyal customer for ever. Now I never plan to go back... such a shame if anyone has had the same experience, I would love to know. This is more against an employee her name is BETH. First to understand why I got upset, I only get…read moremy hair cut once a year as a single mom of 3 it's hard to have the time and the money to do so. I have been going through some personal struggles and Shane' my stylist was eager to help me for my second time in one year. I gave her a good review on FB with pics. Well as a single mom my kids go with me every where. This time I had my 12 and 6 year old boys. My 6 year old might look normal but he has a mental disability. He is add and adhd. He does take medication to help with is behavior. Now to what happened we were there roughly an hour into the process and wearing our mask as required for a six year old with the disability its, a challenge without a mask. He had a little melt down when my phone died and my oldest was trying to help him calm down then myself while I was in the chair. Shane' knows my son and treats him with care every time we visit. BETH yes BETH raised her voice called out his name and in a stern voice told him that they were busy and he needed to calm down. I looked at her to let her know of his disability and with disrespect she rolled her eyes and walked away. After knowing his disability I would have thought she would have apologized. Or being in her profession know how to handle situations with children that has mental disabilities. My son is not a bad kid and to treat him or talk to him as such you should be ashamed of your self. As not only clients saw what she did but so did other staff members. So if you were in the salon when all this happened I want to apologize to anyone of not just my sons meltdown but on behalf of Beth. I also what to think the other 2 employees that's work behind Shane' for telling me how sweet my boy was as he kept telling me how beautiful I was. He is a sweet kid and everyone saw that, he didn't deserve to be treated like that and it hurt me cause this is the time I saw. Things like this breaks my heart not knowing what others do when I am not around to help defend him. My name is Brittany and I have not one but 2 kids that has a mental disability and I am proud of them. As a reminder do not use BETH if you have a child that has a disability. Thank you Shane' and the other 2 staff members that saw I was upset and talked to me and it really helped to not make me cry.
