I am amazed that not 1 but 2 licensed cosmetology could not do a pixie cut. I took my mother there yesterday to have her hair cut, while the staff were very sweet and kind they can't do a cut they should have done in school. My mother was very unhappy but said nothing. She has had cancer treatments and was looking forward to some pampering. I am a former cosmetologist and could have done her hair but she wanted the salon treatment. Now, I am cutting her hair the way she wanted. I also witnessed a sweet girl Donate her hair and the stylist who cut her hair had to get help to cut it into a standard bob.. My daughter and I have recently moved to Georgia and were looking for a hair stylist. We went to Studio 5 Salon and Dakota took care of my 10 year old daughter. She was patient and gave my daughter a cute hair style. I was so impressed with Dakota that I went back to have highlights and a haircut. She did an amazing job! We will be back. Thank you Dakota! I went in with a quarantine haircut, bottle job, and a dream. $150 later, I am a new person. Well worth the money, I got high and low lights from the amazing Dakota. She takes her time and really works to make sure you get what you want. Make sure to ask for her. The Salon was well managed, well kept and efficient. The atmosphere was classy but friendly and their variety of products was nice (but not pressured to purchase). I will definitely be returning to Dakota and to this salon for my needs in the future. I've gone to this salon for years now. Never really had any issues until recently. I was charged for a full foil & a cut which was $200 and way more than that with my tip. After I went home and the blow out wore off, I realized I didn't receive what I asked for & the cut was uneven. The manager Shannon was very kind & made it possible for me to come back in so I went back to get it fixed up and left with it even worse than before. I called asking to speak to the manager again so I could send pictures & see what she could do once again and didn't receive any help. My hair is brassy, colored horribly with chunky highlights, and worse off than it was when I first came in. I am so upset especially after being a customer of theirs for years. Don't waste your money unless you have a regular stylist who is consistent & worth the $... I've cried about it and I'm not sure much can be done because of the stress my hair has been put through in such a short amount of time. So disappointing, by far the worse color, haircut, and experience I've ever had at a salon & I will not be returning. read more

Good cut, cute salon but misleading on price. Women's cut listen as $30-45. After my haircut I was charged $52 and did not receive the 10% off for a first time client. After calling the salon they said that stylists are categorized by level and set their pricing individually. I was not made aware of this at booking which they should do for someone they know are first time clients. They were apologetic and offered the 10% off for my next visit, I'm just not sure I'll be going back. $64 for a trim and a few layers is just a little steep in my opinion. Jennifer D. I have used this salon three times now. I used Tanya each time and she did nice job on color - just so-so on haircut the first two times. The third time she seemed to be agitated and was really rough in applying the color. Since I was not happy with previous cuts, I took in some pictures to show her what I wanted. She was busy chatting with a friend and she seemed irritated that I wanted to talk to her (it was during my appointment - I was sitting in her chair). Then when it came time to rinse the color she had the bowl up so high that water was going everywhere - my ears, face, eyes and her long nails scratched my scalp with her roughness. Booked an appointment online for a formal hair style for my daughter (first time to this salon, so ease of booking was great). Chose an "expert". She wasn't able to do the style my daughter wanted, so I told her to just curl it. She curled, recurled, and recurled. She kept running her fingers thru it each time which continued to brush most of the curl out. After finally getting a tiny bit of curl I asked her to spray it with a lot of hairspray so it would stay. Told her this several times, but she would spray just a little each time. Was not impressed. My daughter is 15 and can do a better job than what she received. By the time we got home, it was flat and just wavy. My daughter had to re curl her entire head of hair. $100 for nothing. Not what I would would expect for a formal style from an "Expert". Very disappointed!! read more

Can't speak to my experience there because I never got that far. Relatively new to the area and in the hunt for a new stylist. I spent hours, literally hours researching salons, stylists, reviews, Instagram photos, etc. Sounds excessive but if you have naturally curly hair, you will likely understand the struggle. Studio 5 seemed to check the boxes for me. I tried to schedule an appt online and being new to the salon, it was next to impossible. I didn't want to book with someone who doesn't work evenings or Saturdays, but even if I clicked on every stylist and looked at their bookings for months in advance, it still wouldn't give me that intel. Called the salon, a gentleman answered. I explained my situation and gave a few names of stylists I was interested in and asked if he could help me make an appt. One stylist- owner; not accepting new clients. Another one; she's going on maternity leave soon. Fine, completely understandable. Can you recommend WHO would be well suited for me, if anyone? Then he proceeds to struggle and finally admits he's a stylist and doesn't normally handle the scheduling. Probably could've started out saying that to save us the 10 min., but whatever. I offered to give my name and mobile number for someone to call me back. As you would imagine, he jumped all over my offer. Two weeks later... still haven't received a call back. If you're new to the area and manage to get in here, consider yourself fortunate. read more

I went here for my first time a few months ago. Macey washed and cut my hair. This was the very first time that I've had someone listen to me while they did my hair. I told her I wanted it trimmed since I was growing my hair out I didn't really want a lot taken off. And then I told her that I wanted her to thin my hair out to the extreme and then when she felt like it was thin enough to thin it out some more. She did exactly that. Then I saw Stevie for my brows. She did such an amazing job of keeping the thickness of my brows while shaping them perfectly for my face. I even went back to see macey to get my hair dyed all over and to have the ends bleached and it looks so amazing.
