So I went home to take care of some things and waited for their call. I dont know if its cause I had a hair cap on for my hair mask or because I was the only afro-latina in there. Even the customers were stand offish mind you thats not even the most aesthetic spa in the area. Zen Shu is and they weren't like this not even close. I told them what I was there for and I was told the lady left? 2x. Like what do you mean I spoke to you guys 20 minutes ago and you told me to come in. Then the lady from the front finally comes out says the girl "went to the store", that I will have to wait. Then proceeds to ask if I want to wait???? UH yess! I waited an hour for you to finish a service and I came outside like this, OF COURSE! You would think thats common sense. But no it's because the wax lady which apparently is the only one that does waxes there probably went home. Thats the only reason I can think of. So I waited maybe 5-8 minutes until I left and took my money to Beauty Spa, which is what I should've done in the first place. They were very attentive once I walked in, immediately stopped what they were doing and took care of me. I'm very disappointed in the latin community here, I worked in hospitality/customer service before so I understand the work behind it. But I was certainly not expecting this treatment after being called to come in. I absolutely hate wasting my time and today was a long list of to dos before I travel. They need to improve on their customer service as a whole. I would not be recommending my family or friends here at all. Quite a number of times that I've been here the technicians always seem to cut and file my toe nails unevenly. The polish also chips within a day or two, and I don't find this place to be extremely hygienic. Today was the final time I will ever patronize this nail salon. I asked for the "Special Pedicure" (I've included a picture of what it entails). There was nothing SPECIAL about it. The "flower soap" was just the regular Dial soap they use for their regular pedicures, and the sea scrub was again, just a regular cheap scrub. The "hot stone massage" literally was her gliding these dirty stones across my legs for about 5 seconds (I'm not kidding). I also received a callus remover with this pedicure but my feet are still rough at the bottom. Oh! And the real kicker is when she decided to wash and clean the foot scrub in the same water my feet were STILL SOAKING IN! I am so incredibly disappointed! I really wanted to like this place because I'm having a hard time finding a nail salon that I really like in the area. So basically she only sees the clients spending the most on their services - got it! I also noticed that there services was modified to include a complimentary drink with all services. I tried same drink I had last time (a lychee bubble tea). It took a long time to be served to me and it was not cold or as good as before. I was reassigned to another female technician who provided a decent service until I asked her not to use the electronic file which feels like a drill on my natural nails. She spoke English throughout the entire service but this time she responded in her own language then immediately began using the drill on my nails. Nope they won't get a third visit from me.
