I normally get my brows shaped at Shohba Columbus Circle but came upon this brow specialist last year right before lockdown. I was already working from home and did not want to take the train into the city. Looked all over Instagram, saw pics and went to Yelp to read reviews. I am picky about my brows. Really picky. I have thick eyebrows. I also do not wear makeup so my brows and face need to be neat and as blemish free as possible. I've had my brows butchered in the past (picture Mrs Obama pre 2008) and I refuse to go down that road again. A proper brow shape will change your entire face. First time I went was before COVID lockdown. The owner of the brow bar was already masked up and wearing gloves. It seems it's something she has just always done. I KNOW RIGHT!!??! She LISTENED to my concerns and understood HOW I wanted my brow to be and EXECUTED it. I've gone several times now to see if it's a fluke and I assure you it's not. The owner of this brow bar knows her SHEEEET. I cannot speak about microblading (hope I'm spelling this right ) but I can sing from the heavens regarding the waxing/shaping of my brows. Can I say waxing? She does a combo of waxing, and tweezing, taking her time to gets this right. I've had my chin waxed (I'm almost 50 and those chin hairs are coming in) and she will take her time getting the last tiny hair. I am beyond pleased. Parking is slightly tough for this location but it's workable. The brow bar occupies its own space so there aren't a hundred people lingering around. Social distancing is still happening so when you arrive you call and you will be let in. The salon is CLEAN, and nicely done up. No random hair sticking around in wax looking super sus. read more

First time there and Chisa is amazing. She shaped and tinted my eyebrows a few days ago and I love it. After years of going to the wrong people, she revived my eyebrows. Just last month I was upset because someone else butchered my eyebrows right before my baby shower, so I let it grow out for a month and I'm so happy she fixed it. This place is located on a side block right off the main avenue and finding parking was not a problem. This place is VERY clean! I have been considering microblading for a while now. This was the first place that offered a free consultation before the actual procedure. The price also includes the 30 day touch-up which I also found was not included in many other places. I met with, Chisa; let me tell you, she is awesome. The consultation lasted about an hour and she was very thorough. She took her time to explain everything about the procedure, how it's done, what to expect after, how to care for the brows afterwards and even showed me a few options in regards to the shape I may want. I just had my brows done on Saturday and I could not been happier! I arrived at 10:00 am, Chisa went over some forms with me and had me sign them. Once done, we went in to the back room and I laid on the bed. Chisa started off by cleaning the area and applying numbing cream before starting on the outline. She took her time to draw the outline then had me sit up to look at to see if I wanted to make any changes. Once we agreed on a shape, I laid back down and she did a color match before beginning! It took a couple of hours which flew by because we were talking and joking the entire time. At one point, I got cold and Chisa, gave me a blanket. When we were done, she explained how to care for my brows before giving me the written instructions. This was overall a great experience!
