Delicious, quick and unreal. My first time trying a beaver tail and we decided to get the basic one so I knew the basic taste of it. It came out quick, tasted delicious and melted in my mouth. This location is just a tiny booth, no walk in restaurant space, but the village makes up for it! Would love to try other flavors next time!! read more

Absolutely lovely!! Beaver Tails is such a great spot for a snack or dessert. While decadent, the apple pie beaver tail is delicious. Service was prompt and friendly! I have only visited the Blue Mountains location of Beaver Tails, but know that the shop consists of a walk-up window and does not have a designated dining area. A staple of Blue Mountain! I only wish this location was open late so you can get that late night treat after a bar outing. If you haven't had a beavertail, it's a deep fried dough treat topped as you like it. The classic which is cinnamon sugar is reminiscent of a churro. When we pulled up I could apt a few beavertails that were previously prepped but they made us a fresh one and disposed of the older ones. I can never get enough of this place. Yes. It's a glorified flat donut with toppings as you wish. It's named to be as Canadian as it gets. Either way, I had to have one everyday I was at blue mountain. No joke. I have tried the cinnamon sugar one, the one with cinnamon sugar/lemon, and the Nutella one with bananas. I must say that my favourite hands down is the cinnamon sugar one with lemon. Nothing beats that. Simple and absolutely delicious. The only reason why I could give 5 stars is because there was one time (out of 3) where the beavertail was too flat and lacked substance. It's as if they were on their last dough and didn't want to add to it to make it proper. It could also be just the rush. read more

If you've never had a BeaverTails before you're missing out on a quintessential part of food Canadiana. There are locations all across our country (and even a couple hidden in the US) but specifically, if you're in Canada near iconic Canadiana tourist attractions, you'll find one (sometimes more than one). So for most of us, we know what a delicious Beavertail looks like, smells like and of course tastes like, but for those of you who are reading about a BT for the first time, allow me to inform you. A BeaverTail is a piece of hand-stretched dough deep fried (of course) until lightly cooked through and hot. The dough is quickly taken from the oil, dried and your choice of toppings are added to it to taste. The classic BT is brushed with melted butter and then dredged in cinnamon sugar - voila! It's the perfect handheld hot snack whether you're in the cold or walking around a festival in the summer. Ooey gooey and yummy yummy yummy! The beaver tail I'm writing a review on is the OG hazelnut chocolate beaver tail. The base is a deep fried dough which is warm, has the perfect crunch level, and reminds me of funnel cake from my childhood. The spread, like in the description, is a chocolate hazelnut spread, I don't really need to expand on this, you'll know for yourself when you taste it. That sensational crunch is present in every bite you take, followed by an uppercut of flavour presented by the chocolate hazelnut spread. This tasty treat is suitable for every age group, so go treat your family to a beaver tail today! Overall, like I said, its that good. 10/10 read more

This review is probably going to be a short one; since it is BeaverTails. Service is pretty simple and efficient - since they have one person dedicated to manning the deep fryer for those wonderful flattened prices of deep fried dough. My personal favourite is the one with lemon, sugar and cinnamon. Others I know prefer the maple flavoured one. Be prepared to line up about 10 minutes give or take - but the line does ebb and flow through out the day, but they definitely are one of the more popular stops in the Blue Village. I am giving them 5 stars because we managed to squeeze in at the last second and they could have easily turned us away - by saying sorry we are closed - but they were nice enough to allow us to be their last order of the day. Beavertails are incredible and there are so many variations. Staff was incredibly nice and processing orders as fast as possible. I wish this location stayed open longer and was possibly on a less windy side of the hotel as any kind of powder is going to fly on you. read more

I was at Blue Mountain for 2 weekends in a row and I definitely ate Beaver Tails each time! I've had the nutella and banana, oreo, and s'mores flavours. I like how they're crispy, not too sweet (even with the nutella), and the service is very good. The line can get very long because this is right at the entrance of the Blue Mountain Villa, but they have the desserts ready very quickly. I'm a huge fan! read more

We visited here in early March. A delicious snack (dessert) for the whole family (though it was just the two of us :-) Whenever we are in Blue Mountains, having beavertails is a tradition! sooo good! I had the Nutella w banana and it was deadly good, especially 10 at night when we had just got back from a day of skiing - dinner first (at The Dam Pub in Thornbury, see review), then beavertails, no guilt trip whatsoever!!! I meant to take a picture but it was really cold so we rushed into shelter and ate our BeaverTails immediately! We got the Skor cheesecake one and it was so good! It was my first BeaverTail and definitely not my last. I only tried it because there was a long line up all week and we finally walked by and there was only one person ahead of us. Because you have to line up outside, it's quite chilly and almost unbearable but definitely worth it! It also kind of sucks that there's no where to eat it at that location, we went into Starbucks and ate it. I also like that there's an option to get BeaverTails at the top of the mountains!
