There were definitely some pros and cons to my visit. The first big con: it smells very bad in there. Since I was in there so long, luckily my nose got used to it. Pro: My pedicure was fantastic! The man who did my toes gave me a great foot massage, was very gentle when he needed to be, and paid very careful attention to my toes. Con: The manicure, not so much. The lady who did my manicure ripped my cuticle very badly - the photo was taken three days later and it still looks like that. I think this place is fine if you get the right person.

If this is your idea of a great manicure, this is the place for you.

I'm not even going to editorialize. If my photos represent your idea of a great manicure, then this is the place for you. Different strokes for different folks and all that, but for me, I'm looking for clean instruments in a sterilized bag, no nail Polish on my fingers or cuticles, and no bubbled nail Polish when I'm finished. I'm posting photos.

The woman who answered the phone mentioned that she had never worked at that location before. I thought nothing of it at the time. In hindsight, perhaps I should have asked whether she was also unfamiliar with the concept of actually making an appointment. I arrived at 12:28 p.m. the following day for my scheduled appointment. The woman at the front desk looked at her computer and informed me, "You don't have an appointment." I replied, "Yes, I do. I booked it yesterday." Her explanation was that the person who had answered the phones the previous day was not there that day. At that moment, an esthetician had just finished with another client. I asked if she could please do my eyebrow wax since I had, in fact, made an appointment and was standing there ready to be serviced. Her response was a curt, "No. I have another client coming in." I explained that I had driven 15 minutes to get there, had an event that evening and another one the following day, and asked if she could please do the wax quickly before her next client arrived....given that I too was a customer...who had made an appointment. She said, "I have to go check the room." I now understand that this was apparently code for "I'm going to disappear and hope this situation resolves itself." She never returned. I then begged the woman at the front desk to please help me. Her only response continued to be, "You don't have an appointment." I reminded her, "Yes, I do. YOUR STAFF MADE MY APPOINTMENT." She continued to ignore me. Then, in what can only be described as impeccable comedic timing, the phone rang. From the conversation, I could tell the customer calling was trying to reschedule an appointment. The front desk employee looked at her computer and told the customer on the phone: "But I don't see an appointment for you." Well. This was interesting. Apparently, my disappearing appointment was not an isolated incident. We had now established a pattern: appointments apparently exist only until someone at the front desk looks for them. Meanwhile, the customer for whom the esthetician had allegedly been waiting had still not shown up. I again asked the front desk employee to please ask the esthetician if she could quickly do my eyebrows, particularly since this entire situation was the result of an error made by their employee. Her response? "No. The person coming in is a regular." I replied, "I AM A REGULAR." I have a "wax pass." ( No need to be impressed. You can fork out cash & get one too.) At that point, she completely ignored me. I then asked for the manager's phone number. I was told, "I'll take your number and have the manager call you." Well, it has now been more than 72 hours, and I am still waiting for that call. I can only assume the manager disappeared too -- perhaps along with my appointment, the rude esthetician, and the fictitious non-existent customer for whom said rude esthetician was allegedly waiting. I left at 12:40 p.m. Twelve minutes had passed since my arrival. I could have had my eyebrows waxed, paid, and been on my way by now. The esthetician was nowhere to be found, the "regular" customer never showed up, and no one seemed remotely interested in resolving the problem. I understand that mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability and the dismissive, rude way I was treated when I tried to resolve an error that was made by your own staff. I made an appointment. I showed up on time. I drove 15 minutes to your location. I was prepared to put another stamp on my coveted wax pass, and I would even have gratefully tipped rude esthetician. And somehow, I was treated as though I were inconveniencing your staff by expecting them to honor an appointment that THEY scheduled. A FORMER REGULAR

KALEIDOSCOPE HAIR & BODY ARTISTRY…read more February 2019 My first appointment with Jon Giovinco. Having to switch hair stylists is always daunting. You never know what to expect, and hope they are going to "get" what vibe you want for your hair. Not just do whatever they want. So when sitting down for the first time in Jon's chair, I admit I was a little nervous. But.... I worried for nothing! Jon was simply amazing! I have never ever had a stylist take as much time getting to know me and my hair.....BEFORE...doing a single thing to my head. He truly is a master stylist. He listens, he looks, he feels, he studies, and then he creates! I could not have been happier with how my hair came out! And the biggest compliment was....my husband loves my new hair style! Now what more could you ask for from your stylist!

She asks lots of questions to get to know your skin, your issues, products you're currently using, and places an emphasis on organic products. She even includes brief periods of massage, making this the ultimate relaxation experience. This was the first time that I had a facial and didn't break out into hives or a rash afterwards, so clearly, her faith the products she uses is well placed. Extractions weren't painful, and it's clear from the way she speaks about skin that she knows her stuff. If I still lived in the area, I'd be booking appointments with Nicole regularly! Facilities for the spa are surprisingly bigger than you would think seeing the entrance, as the salon is within a strip mall. However, the spa is in a separate back area and quite spaceous.

I figured I was just becoming allergic to the polish and discontinued going there except for brow and lip waxes. I've had multiple ladies perform my waxes and have never had an issue. I tip extremely well and am happy to do so because of how well I've been treated in the past. I dunno what happened this last - and I do mean last - go 'round. The typical woman who has done my brow and lip wax multiple times over the years suddenly had amnesia on how to wax properly. I'm not sure if she was in a rush to get to another customer or what, but my eyebrows were way too thin and she ripped skin off my lip. I knew the moment it happened because I felt her applying wax to an area that she literally just waxed. As soon as she was done, I knew skin came off. She continued to dab at the area saying, "your skin is so sensitive here". Um, no, lady.. you just waxed the same spot twice. To add insult to injury, she continued to tell me it was just sensitive despite my bleeding lip, and charged me full price. Twenty-four bucks for a nice scar. Thanks a lot.
