I've had two back to back bad experiences here, and I will not make the mistake of coming back. A couple weeks ago, I came in for a gel manicure and she proceeded to put what I thought was maybe a new/different base coat on. I didn't ask her since she didn't seem to speak English so I just went with it. When I went to pay the owner said $65 (but their gel mani price is $45) and I asked why. He told me it was for the builder gel base. I said I didn't ask for that. Then he started speaking with the girl who did my nails, and another girl sitting next to her. The other woman said "she said you insisted on builder gel" I told them I never said a word about builder gel. The owner said "fine we will charge you $50". At this point I was so done with being there and just paid it and left. Thinking this would be a one-off bad experience, I came in today for a pedicure. I was so disappointed. the girl never turned on the water...so she just cut my nails and painted them. I asked why no water and she said she would after cutting. But no water and the polish is on now. So weird!! read more

it took me four bad experiences to write this. Not only did i try to resolve with the salon but they lied to me and told me the man who works there every day( presumably the owner) does not know who owns or who runs the business. it went from poor service to unclean and rude practices.On the first incident the pedicure kit was dropped on the dirty floor and she reused. i was then cut on my foot, cut on my nails because they used a drill when i asked not to. the most disgusting part is speaking multiple languages ( 8 between my husband and I and understanding how poorly they were speaking about us I was about in tears when i left. i tried to resolve, amazing how you don't know who owns the business and now am reporting to the town and the state health board. Licenses for all workers are not present. read more

BEWARE: Beware of the massage "therapist" who wears a Doctor's uniform with a name tag that says "Dr. John". I paid for a quick 10 minute massage after getting a pedicure. He was so rough even after repeated requests for him to do it more softly, and he finally took the back of my skull and pulled so hard until I yelled "stop" after feeling intense pain. Two months later I have been dealing with cranial nerve damage. Just saw an ENT who said I have Superior Laryngeal Nerve Neuropathy due to trauma to the nerves at the base of my scull. People have to be aware of this guy! I have always been happy with the manicures and pedicures I have received here, but DO NOT trust the masseuse! read more

TAKE YOU BUSINESS & MONEY ELSEWHERE! Let me start by saying that if you are 1-2 minutes late for your appt, you will receive a call from the owner, Marcus, wanting an explanation as to why are not there yet. I arrived for my nail appt 5 minutes before my scheduled time and was completely ignored by Marcus's father after greeting him. I was then ignored by Susan, who I had an appt with, after simply saying hello to her while I looked at polishes. Instead of polite hello back, Susan turned to "Suzie" and said something to her in her native language. After waiting patiently a full 30 minutes without the offer of another tech to at least take my polish off - even though most of them were not with customers and were either looking at their phones or counting their tips, Susan told me to sit down - never once offering an apology for running so behind, which would have meant so much considering I am a longer standing customer, especially during the Covid years. I simply said to Susan that it would have been appreciated if someone called to let me know she was running behind. With that, she stood up and flew into a complete manic rage and started yelling and screaming. I felt so embarrassed, scared and traumatized by her erratic behavior that I grabbed my purse and fled. I called Marcus a few days later after he left me message to call him and instead of offering an apology, he said to me in a very nasty and accusatory manner, "what did you say to Susan?" After listening to my account of what happened, he did not offer an apology, but made me out to be the villain. This salon has no loyalty to their customers. They will be pleasant to new customers, but once they know they have you, they will not acknowledge your presence and make you feel like you're actually bothering them. I have put up with Marcus and Susan's nastiness for the last time. Marcus, I know you will be reading this review, and I am letting you know that not only am I advising many of your customers of this traumatizing incident, but I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Love this place for my nails, they do a great job and the salon is clean and maintained well. The staff is pleasant and if they offer it when your there I recommend getting a massage that the nice older man gives. This salon was recommended by a friend who swore by their pedicures. After getting a pedicure there in 2020, I was hooked! Their pedicures are AMAZING & the customer service is 5 star. One of the things I loved about the salon was how seriously they took COVID-19 precautions. As someone who lost a parent to COVID, I understand & respect their policies. Upon arrival your temperature is taken, you were asked to sign in with your contact info (I assume for contact tracing), and sanitize your hands. They also have a big air purifier in the middle of the salon. Even though mask mandates are lifted for fully vaccinated people, they continue to require masks for staff & customers. As a business, it is their right to do so. Today in a packed salon, I watched an employee handle a challenging phone call regarding their mask policy. Customers watched the employee handle the difficult call & were supportive of the way it was handled as the person on the phone sounded quite angry about their mask policy. Yes, some customers could hear the "Karen" yelling over the phone. The employee was apologetic to the customers that witnessed the dramatic phone call. I feel the situation was handled appropriately & felt bad for the employee. My friends & I will continue to come here for their COVID-19 safety procedures, pedicures, & UV gel sets. Went on Sunday, 1/30 for a gel pedicure. Even though I live right in town I usually use another place because the parking is better. My usual place is not open on Sundays. I thought almost $60 was high for the pedicure I got especially considering I didn't even get to soak my feet or have a hot towel. It's a nice place, the tech was nice but the pedicure just really bugged me. I went in and she removed my old polish, cut my nails, filed etc AND THEN rinsed my feet. No nice soak in the tub, Minimal callous removal (luckily I really don't have any callouses, but it was sloppy) the whole pedicure felt more like a polish change than a pedicure. While I was getting my "pedicure" I noticed all these really expensive pedicures listed on the wall, later I wondered how much more it would have been to get a real pedicure. Meh... read more

Greedy managers, poor business practices. I have visited this place two times within the past month. The managers are obviously lazy and greedy. The carpet is dirty and could easily be cleaned with a carpet cleaner. They serve you a bottle of Perrier with a plastic cup. I appreciate the effort but I saw a customer leave and they promptly threw both the glass bottle and the recyclable cup into the garbage!!! Too lazy to recycle! Terrible! Then, when I get to the register the manager charges me an additional $6 when I inquire about the charge the female manager wearing a name tag that reads "Harry" says 'Oh that is because of the nail polish you selected. It lasts longer than the usual kind." When I was picking a color all of the bottles were in the same location, there was no sign, no one told me there was an additional $6 charge! AND $6 for a bit of nail polish! What does it have in it gold? I think not. It was not a gel pedicure, it was that same application process as a typical nail polish. Having said all of that, the technicians are excellent they offer multiple types of spa manicures. I have gotten the green tea manicure both times. It runs $50. They do ALOT for that money; long massage, exfoliation, warm towels after massage. It is really very good. They play nice relaxing music while you are sitting which I much prefer to television being on. But alas, when I am trying to relax by getting a pedicure I don't want to deal with seedy managers trying to rip me off. This tree hugger won't be back. read more

I love the workers and you can tell that they are well taken care of and enjoy working here (and with each other). John the owner gives free (fantastic) neck massages to all customers and his chair/table massages are out of this world. Alma and Mimi are my favorite pedicurists (Alma also does amazing manis and gel) - love them! The regular pedi is great but the extended pedicure menu is amazing. Golden Flower has never failed to get me in for an appointment even at the last minute. They switched owners about a year and a half ago and remodeled and the service just got 10 times better. I love love love their technician Gina; she is super personable and will do your nails exactly as you request. Recently I have started to get chair back massages from their male masseuse and he is phenomenal. I get massages at massage envy frequently and this beat all of them. This masseuse also will give you a free five minute back massage while you're getting your nails done for free as an incentive to get a paid time massage so you can see if you like his style/can just enjoy a quick massage while your nails are being done even if you chose to not get the timed paid one!! I was holding off posting a review but am now doing so. I went here for the first time last week to get a French manicure and pedicure, was all excited to have the time to relax. Well fail!! Pedicure from Kim was very enjoyable and she was great and then it all went downhill from there. My pedicure was done and I went to get my manicure. Well, the woman Johana was awful! So rude!!! I was talking to another client, only turning my head and she gave a huge sigh throwing her face into her hands and said "I'll wait until you stop talking"....my head was the only thing turned but apparently my hand slightly moved. Left a horrible taste in my mouth and I planned to just never come back. However I do try to give places a second chance before posting negative reviews, within 3 hours my manicure had chipped around the cuticle area because she'd gone way too close to it. By that night large chunks of polish were missing. I called salon. Spoke to manager who offered for me to come back in and get them fixed, which I thought was nice. Fast forward a week. Finally was able to get with the tech he wanted to redo my nails. Was going fine until the end, there was a man who works there and asked if I wanted a shoulder rub. To which I said sure because almost every salon I've ever been to they offer that for a couple minutes each person. Well, I said sure to 5 minute offer. I got charged $15 at the end of the nail appointment!!! No mention at alllll of it costing anything. That's ridiculous. And had I known I wouldn't have said ok to it. Manicure finally dried its bubbly, uneven, bumpy etc. not even going to bother for a 3rd round with them! I am in love with this nail salon. They have a nice selection of OPI and I would love more Essie, but they are newer, and frankly, I usually bring my own color anyway. Kelly did such a wonderful job on my nails and cuticles. I had a manicure two weeks earlier ad they did not look nearly this nice from the other place not in this town. While my nails were drying, I was given at least five mins of neck and shoulder massage by an actual person trained in massage! I left there feeling amazing and plan to go back at least every two weeks, but if I can find the time weekly!! read more

Went to get a manicure and pedicure today. The girl was doing my feet and someone else told her she'd take over halfway through. During the manicure, the lady put cuticle oil on one hand once and the other one twice. She only cut the cuticles on the hand she put the oil on once. She used three hot towels on my hands for some reason. The entire manicure didn't take more than 10 minutes. The paint job was terrible and looks like a child did it. My cuticles look horrible too for that matter. I got no massage when drying. Everyone else I saw that sat at the dryer got one. I will never go back there again nor will I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Stopped in for a quick manicure- was surprised to see it bustling with people since its at the end of the street and the middle of the day. Guess u never with these things. Anyway- They give you a cold drink upon request which is a nice touch. The manicure was professional and clean (thank god!)- I always get worried when I go to nail salons because you know, you never know. So anyway, glad I stopped by and got a nice summery color gel done. Next time I have more time, I'm going to try for one of their pomegranate foot spas. So, you need to know that I used to go to Heidi here. She was the only one that did not file my nails to thin for a gel manicure. Now she is no longer there. I was assigned Debbie when I arrived. The person did not tell me over the phone that Heidi was no longer there. Of course not. The manicure that I was getting was so poor and I got nipped not once, but twice. Finally, seeing how badly this was going, I got up and left mid-manicure. This place is NOT recommended. I went down the street to Nailtopias, which just re-opened under new management. I have been getting much nails done here for several years , always leave a generous tip and have been very happy until now. The last gel manicure I received 2 weeks ago looked good until the first nail popped off within 3 days. Then another and another. I made an appointment for a repair and fill and eyebrows today I showed up on time but instead of getting my normal French the ladies started talking about color gel or french and I was basically cajoled into getting a sheer pink. I wasn't even given a basic massage from the nail tech. I was just herded out of the chair. No eyebrow wax either. The one nail has a spike on it which I filed down. Now if I was a walk in I would understand but I made my appointment and if it took longer to fix the bad set I had to begin with I should not have been penalized by being rushed. The new manager that they have is not professional at all I have had issues with her in the past telling me to come back later when I had an appointment and my last spa pedicure appointment my daughter and I were not in the back room as I always had been before. I work hard all week and do not mind spending a bit more for an experience. I do not go to just have my nails done I go for the experience and to relax. Three strikes you're out. There is no shortage of wonderful nail salons in the area. I won't be back. Update...within one day nails are chipping not just the gel color but the gel itself is breaking off. I went to the Golden Flower Nail Salon last weekend while visiting NJ for my East Coast wedding. They provided super attentive service and gave me the most beautiful manicure and pedicure ever! The nail technician who did my manicure was highly knowledgeable and understood my concerns with gel polish wearing away my nail enamel. She offered a protein base coat to strengthen my nails and protect them from the gel removal process.
