I got my nails done just two days ago, and one of them already broke. When I went back to get it fixed, they charged me $10 - which I think is ridiculous considering how recently I had them done. On top of that, the gel polish on another nail was already chipping, and another one was starting to lift. Instead of being understanding or taking responsibility for the poor quality, they insisted I pay again to fix their work. To make matters worse, they require customers to bring their own nail file and buffer - otherwise, they charge you an extra $3 to buy one from them. It feels so money-driven and unwelcoming. Honestly, I would rather they just include that in the service price instead of nickel-and-diming customers for every little thing. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Definitely won't be returning. read more

This place is a hidden jewel in a strip mall . When you walk in you are immediately greeted by friendly faces and smiles. The owner Sue is so sweet! This place is kept emasculate! The station where the nails are done have a light with a fan built in to suck up any dust or powder from the drilling or filing of the nails. This place does your basic mani/pedi plus pink and whites, gel mani's, shalack mani, waxing of all types and massages. I would suggest making an appointment but walk-ins are ok. Today I got a gel manicure at Charming Nail. They did a great job with my manicure, and my nails came out great. That being said, I left upset. The reason for the 3 star review is I was charged $10 for an add on I was not aware I was getting. A man comes around and massages while you are getting your nails done. His exact words were, "is it okay if I massage?", to which I replied, "yes." I was under the impression that this was the usual massage that comes with a manicure. Not once did he explain that this was not included or what the cost would be. When I went to pay, I explained this to the cashier, who was not understanding and still charged me for the service. I explained that any cost other than the service requested by the patron should be explicitly verbalized upfront. read more

Gina does a nice job, however, I find they are constantly trying to get the customer to partake of more services. ex. "do you want a massage", why don't you get get instead of regular manicure (my nails needed a break from the gel since they were dry & breaking) charged my $5 extra to remove the small bit of gel remaining on my nails) . A regular manicure is $15 plus the cost of pedicure $30 & additional $5 to remove Gel $50 plus tip! This for a regular manicure & pedicure...Not sure if I will go back. Maybe! I called for a same day appointment for a gel fill. They were able to schedule me the same day. For the past 15 years, I have been using the same Nail Technician (not at Charming but another salon). Due to an unexpected situation I ended up at Charming nail that day. The salon is neat and well kept, the staff was ok and not the warmest. I arrived for my appointment on time, but had to wait and additional 15 minutes because my nail technician wasn't ready, which was only irritating because there were other employees were sitting around. However, once I sat down in me designated chair, my nail tech, Lux, was very nice and thorough. Personally, I like to do designs and nail art on my nails, which this salon does not do so please be advised. Their gel color selection is fair, which for some might be better who don't like so many options. While Lux worked on my nails, you could tell she was focused in what she was doing. I also liked that the UV lights they use don't require you to put your whole hand in, just your finger tips. The reason for my 4 star review is that after three weeks of wear and tear on my nails, they really held up well and stayed fresh for longer than I am actually used to. I believe I have found a back up location incase other unexpected situations arise again. read more

Update Really disappointed. The guy was surly and rough on my feet despite asking him to be gentle. It's supposed to be an enjoyable experience. I still have a callous only a few hours later and toe hurts. Not returning. I'll stick w my regular place. First visit upon recommendation from a friend. Last salon I went to gave me an ingrown toenail because girl had no clue. Pedicurist was very gentle with my feet and did an excellent job. Quiet, zen environment. I am very picky about my nails and Charming did a fantastic job. Staff is so friendly and although I only had to wait about 5 minutes, I got a quick neck/shoulder massage while the nail tech finished with another customer (which was so great, I opted to get a 10 min massage during my manicure). I finally found the loveliest nail place near my house about a year ago. The salon is located in a small square mall. There are always parking spots. The salon is cozy, has a simple decoration and really clean, that is a huge plus! Ms. Sue (owner of this salon) is always taking care of manicure with shellac (UV coating nail polish. I love it..). She is very pleasant and wonderful lady. Other ladies (Sonia, Maliesol and Angie... Hope I spell their name right...) are taking care of pedicure. They are all lovely and makes me laugh :) I sometimes add lemon callus to a regular pedicure and that makes my feet smooth like a baby skin. Every two weeks, I have a good few hours to pamper myself at this salon with beautiful mani & pedi. I normally go to Saturday and it's always busy with customer. Make an appointment might be the smartest way to do. (Sunday is closed). I would absolutely recommend if you live close by :) read more

I have walked by this place a million times and never walked in until a month ago, and I absolutely love it! The women who work at the salon are sweet and helpful. One even helped me pick out my nail colors. Marisol did my pedicure and she was fabulous. She did a great job, and the paint job lasted for weeks. The shop doesn't look great from the outside, but it very clean and organized on the inside. The decor is also great, and they did a much better job than the other salons in the area, like Angel Tips. Will definitely be going back here! read more
